Complaint: Wells Fargo advertised a {$250.00} promotion for new checking accounts. I opened an account during the specified timeframe, made the requisite opening deposit and established a direct deposit to meet the qualifications for the {$250.00} promotion. Through a series of emails, Wells Fargo, first confirmed that I qualified for the promotion and would receive the funds in 45 days. Then after the 45 days past and no evidence of the reward, I contacted the Bank inquiring about the issue. A different customer service representative indicated that, now, I did not qualify for the promotion. Recent communication with the Bank, reversed course again and indicated I did qualify but would need to send my tax id number ( although they acknowledge they have my social security number which is my tax id number ). Then, the representative said once the Internal Revenue Service confirmed my tax id number, they would revisit my eligibility for the reward. I have never been subjected to confirming information with the IRS to receive a reward with other banks like XXXX who offered similar promotions.
I have also never communicated with a company with such inconsistencies and resistance to awarding a customer for something they clearly qualify for.

Complaint: Wells Fargo repossessed my vehicle 6 years ago while the payment was in their hands, I put a stop payment on the check as they did attempt to cash it. They called my insurance company and said I had been in an accident with it, untrue, and tried to file a claim. I soon settled the debt. 5 years later the loan showed up on my credit report as open. I 've paid high interest rates ever since.

Complaint: I received an Escrow Review Statement from Wells Fargo Bank on XX/XX/XXXX that indicated my escrow account has a shortage of {$8600.00}. Perusing the Statement, I discovered that only {$170.00} had been taken out of my mortgage payment of {$980.00} per month, an amount clearly insufficient to pay the escrow items of {$6000.00} in property taxes and {$1000.00} in insurance ( for a total of {$7100.00} ). Because my home is located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, which is within the city limits of XXXX, TX ( in XXXX County ) but is physically located in XXXX County, it is assessed for property taxes by entities from both counties. Looking at the Escrow Account history from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed that only {$1200.00} had been projected for the XXXX County portion of the property taxes ( instead of the actual {$4800.00} ), and that {$0.00} had been projected for the XXXX County portion ( instead of the actual {$1200.00} ), a gross underestimate. As a retired XXXX and XXXX veteran on a fixed income, I could have paid the {$1400.00} monthly mortgage which would have prevented this shortage. I have contacted Wells Fargo to address this situation, and they have offered to allow me to repay the shortage over 24 months, at {$1600.00} per month. However, I feel that since the Loan Officer was made aware of the {$990.00} per month rent I was paying before purchasing my current home ( the purchase closed on XX/XX/XXXX ), he made certain that the mortgage payment was similar, in order to increase the attractiveness of the loan. The home is not a new construction ( it was built in XXXX ), and the property tax rate actually decreased from XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, so uncertainty about the property tax rates during the closing process is unlikely. On XX/XX/XXXX, I notified Wells Fargo that I had successfully challenged the valuation of the property, lowering that amount by approximately {$40000.00} and had added both a homestead exemption and a XXXX veteran 's exemption, with the result that my XX/XX/XXXX property taxes will be reduced from the {$6000.00} paid in XX/XX/XXXX to {$4600.00} due in XX/XX/XXXX, so the escrow portion of the mortgage could be reduced to {$470.00} per month ( disregarding the shortage amount ). Since the shortage is due to a " miscalculation '' by the Loan Officer, which " happened '' to give a mortgage payment {$0.00} less than my monthly rent at the time, do I have any recourse available to address this issue?

Complaint: I have a mortgage with Wells Fargo for my property at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, PA XXXX. The loan number is XXXX and was originated in XX/XX/XXXX. It is a 15 year mortgage however I opted for an accelerated payment schedule whereby I would pay twice a month. I was told by my mortage broker that this would reduce 4 years off the length of my mortage.
I have been paying consistently on this loan and expected that it would be satisfied in XX/XX/XXXX I made a series of calls to verify and discovered that the loan will not be satisfied until XX/XX/XXXX.
At the time of the loan origination Wells Fargo had a contractual relationship with XXXX XXXX to manage the accelerated payments. I was not aware of this until I called. As far as I was concerned they were one in the same.
I have never been given a scheduled for the accelerated payments. I never signed or approved of the schedule. I would not have accepted this if it only saved one year on the length of my mortgage. Paying twice a month was a sacrifice and I would not have done it to save one year on the length of the mortgage.
I have issued complaints to both parties. Wells Fargo does not acknowledge any ownership in this. They believe XXXX XXXX is at fault. XXXX XXXX does not respond to the complaints. Wells Fargo has since severed their contractual relationship with XXXX XXXX which, I believe, is integral to this complaint Both of these parties are clearly in violation of fair lending practices. I am entitled to see the payment schedule that I supposedly approved and neither entity will provide it.
Additionally, I am referencing the disposition of an XXXX XXXX fraudulent claim. Pursuant to this action, I am entitled to damages.
CFPB Takes Action Against Mortgage Payment Company And Servicer For Deceptive Ads XX/XX/XXXX Consumers Deceived by XXXX XXXX XXXX to Receive {$33.00} XXXX XXXX, XXXX. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) took action today against XXXX XXXX and XXXX , XXXX for deceiving consumers with advertisements for a mortgage payment program that promised tens of thousands of dollars in interest savings from more frequent mortgage payments. Under the terms of the orders announced today, XXXX will return {$33.00} XXXXXXXX in fees to consumers and pay a {$5.00} XXXXXXXX civil penalty to the CFPB, and XXXX will pay a {$100000.00} civil penalty. Deceptive advertising has no place in the financial marketplace, said CFPB Director Richard Cordray. Todays action is delivering relief for consumers deceived by XXXX and XXXX, and sending a clear message that these practices will not be tolerated.
I will continue to file complaints until one or both of these parties provide the information that I am entitled to.
XXXX XXXX XXXX

Complaint: Good day, I applied for home mortgage at Wells Fargo bank and had a so bad experience. I came to the branch at XXXX XXXX, Florida at first time in middle of XXXX 2017. I was honest and told to consultant XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that I 'm single mom, my average salary is XXXX $ per month, I do n't have a long working history in the USA and I need to use first home buyer program from XXXX county for down payment. He was polite and nice, so he sent my application for pre-approve and I 've been pre-approved. When I found a house, my consultant suddenly realized that I do n't have 2 years experience in the USA, but in few days he said that I should be ok. We started process. I signed documents with the seller and paid XXXX $ deposit, paid XXXX $ for house inspection, signed documents in the bank and started to wait decision. For couple of weeks I did n't hear from anybody, so I started text to mortgage consultant and realtor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX nobody answered. Finally XXXX ( mortgage consultant ) picked up phone on Monday,XX/XX/XXXX. He told me that he is going to have answer for me in couple of hours from the XXXX county assistance program. ( Note : Seller knew that everything is cancelled at this moment because he got phone call from realtor almost one week earlier. So, while I tried to find information everybody knew already that everything is cancelled, but nobody told me truth, just ignored me ). XXXX did n't call me that day and next day, he did n't pick up phone. I emailed him on Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX and got answer : " Hi XXXX, Unfortunately we are not able to provide XXXX county assistance now. We have to get re-approval again because the one we have expired ''. So, how does it come consultant did n't know they ca n't provide XXXX county assistance? I spent time, money, refused to get new job because of mortgage process for nothing. If he saw that I 'm not qualify for mortgage due to not enough experience, small salary or other why did n't he tell me truth at first? Why I got answer after wasted time and money? He is consultant and his job to help.
Finally, in almost two months of waiting I do n't have official decision from the bank or XXXX county assistance program, I have just consultant 's " unfortunately, we ca n't ... ''. Due to this situation I lost a good house at good and safe location as well. Please, do investigation and give me answer on this situation.
Thank you and have a good day.
Kind regards, XXXX

Card opened as result of identity theft or fraud
Complaint: This is a formal CFPB Complaint filed by XXXX XXXX against Wells Fargo and XXXX XXXX.
The financing of the XXXX XXXX customer-purchases ( derived from unlawful, deceptive, and unconscionably high-pressure sales tactics, with the sales appointments, themselves, always induced by an elaborate referral-scheme of {$100.00} XXXX gift cards ) is deceptive, fraudulent, unlawful, and unconscionable. Specifically, this allegation refers to the exclusive-financing relationship that exists between XXXX XXXX/XXXX XXXX XXXX and Wells Fargo Bank, whereby customers are led to believe that they are applying for a traditional, closed-end loan only for the amount of the ever-shifting price quoted by the XXXX XXXX sales representative. In fact, the Defendants actually trick or otherwise induce, without the required disclosures about the nature of the credit-application being executed, the customers to apply for what turns out to be a XXXX Home Projects credit card, issued by Wells Fargo bank.
As a standard practice, XXXX XXXX sales force completes all paperwork that is executed during these late-night, in-home appointments, and then simply gets the customers to sign the paperwork that was filled out by the XXXX XXXX sales representative.
This practice, pleaded in the paragraph above, is aimed by the Defendants at deceiving and /or concealing from the prospective customers of XXXX XXXX/Wells Fargo : ( 1 ) the nature and quality of the actual products they are purchasing ; ( 2 ) the many terms and conditions that apply to XXXX XXXX so-called 100 % Satisfaction Guarantee program ; and ( 3 ) the financing terms and the fact that a XXXX Home Projects Program credit card is being applied for of the transaction. This practice of the Defendants, among constituting various other torts, breaches of express warranties and implied covenants, and statutory-violations, is an unlawful violation of the Truth in Lending Act.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX transferred {$1000.00} from Wells Fargo bank to me for her rent. Wells Fargo linked the payment to my email address XXXX which resulted in chase bank rejecting the transfer of funds because I have no account with them.and surely sending money to an email address can not be a sound or legal practice. I have called the bank 7 times been on hold and calls for over 2.5 hours and conferenced called with XXXX and XXXX from the XXXX XXXX AZ branch. My renter, XXXX XXXX, has visited the branch three times made multiple phone calls. She told me that the branch said it was my fault and I needed to figure it out. I asked for the district manager to call me XXXX XXXX which he never did. I received a call from XXXX XXXX executive office for online banking instead who told me I need to call a clearing center and wait 10 more days. Meanwhile I am being charged {$25.00} per day NSF by my bank. There is over {$1000.00} floating around in cyber space and Wells Fargo will not pay me or rectify the situation. Wells Fargo is putting the responsibility on me to call chase which I did, to call clearinghouse, to communicate between Wells Fargo online banking and branch management and I am not the banker. I am not employed there and I have called and done everything I can. Then a private note was forwarded to me that the banker made saying I 'm not cooperative, which I have attached and it makes no sense ( the comment ) in general. I did everything I can and it is not my tesponsibilty to find the money because according to XXXX it never left Wells Fargo. Please help.

Banking errors
Complaint: Received a response from Wells Fargo and they simply tried to brush off a complaint with a standard response. CLEARLY in my email it mentioned that I was eligible for the {$250.00} bonus and I have met the 10x transactions requirement. This so called private invitation had a public url " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. If there was some error along the way, should n't Wells Fargo be held accountable for their mistake and own up to it? I am filing another complaint as I feel I am being unfairly treated by Wells Fargo.

Charged too much interest
Complaint: Although I sent payment to Wells Fargo bank on time, they still charged me a {$15.00} late fee and {$5.00} in interest. I called to correct the issue and they agreed to credit back the {$15.00} and {$5.00} charges and I sent a payment for the full amount less the {$20.00} that was to be credited back. However, they did not credit the {$5.00} interest and as a result my account was marked as carrying a balance and charge {$2.00} in interest the next month. I called a second time and the agent agreed to credit the {$5.00} as originally promised, but would not credit back the {$2.00}. That {$2.00} of interest should not have been changed and I would like it refunded to me.
