Debt collection: Auto debt

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: Hello. On XX/XX/XXXX I returned a leased car over to XXXX Toyota XXXX XXXX and took another lease in exchange. It was a trade in. I entered into a new leasing agreement still in effect. I was told by the salesperson ( XXXX XXXX ) that since I was taking another car from the same dealer I did not have to pay any amount for returning the car to the dealer before the end of the lease. On XX/XX/XXXX ( 14 months later ) I received a letter from a collection agency trying to collect a debt of {$800.00}. When I contacted them they told me that I owe that amount to Toyota because I returned my car before the end of the lease. I went immediately to the Toyota dealer and the Salesperson ( XXXX XXXX ) and the Manager ( XXXX XXXX ) both informed me that it was a mistake that Toyota made, they processed improperly the trade in paperwork and that 's why Toyota was charging me with that amount, but since that account was closed and sold to a collection agency they had nothing to do, meaning to say that the problem that they created is now mine and that I have to find a solution for something that they did wrong on their side.

Problem with paying off the loan
Complaint: Apparently there was an error when I tried to pay off my loan through Toyota Financial Services, but Toyota Financial is not reflecting the true payment due on its website because of an IT error. I still have the money in my bank account, and I am afraid I will not be able to pay it off and the account will accrue interest. I really have no idea what is going on or what to do. XXXX Toyota Financial, I have called them at least 8 times due to different errors, and at least half were not able to solve my problems. Only a resolution specialist will most likely solve them properly, but they are nigh on impossible to get to because the customer representatives are usually mediocre and/or have little control, so the resolution specialists are flooded with requests.

Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Complaint: I obtained my annual credit report XX/XX/XXXX. Upon reviewing I noticed I have 30+ inquiries that are affecting my score. I have been car shopping for the past few years but never would have thought this information would have been shared with whomever they wanted ... ... ... I will list these below. I first called XXXX today XX/XX/XXXX who gave me the protocol to request to have these inquiries removed. I then attempted to call the next group of creditors that had access some how to my report, XXXX-store cards?? I called and spoke with a rep who failed to tell me I was speaking with the fraud department. After speaking with her I explained why I was calling. All I requested per XXXX was an inquiry deletion letter. She proceeded to repeat to me all she could do is file an investigation for identity theft, that is the only way for these inquiries to be removed. She stated I would need to contact the credit bureau for further information as that is all that they could do. I then asked her if she could give me a date as to how long this would affect me and all she kept repeating was sorry we do not have a time frame to again call the credit bureau. I then again called XXXX and this time spoke with a supervisor and he repeated the same protocol. I explained I am aware but what am I suppose to do now ... ... .he stated to obtain a police report for proof they could not give me the inquiry deletion letter and submit this to them to then be reviewed to see what they could do???? I believe this is unnecessary as I am trying to buy a house and I can not even get the first group of inquiries deletion process started as no one neither the company nor the credit bureau can help me!!!!! How can any of which hold my information but not assist me? PLEASE HELP! _____________________________________________ Auto Dealers? Billing problem
Complaint: My husband and father co-signed a lease with Toyota Financial Services 33 months ago. It was a 3 year ( 36 month XXXX lease with a payment of {$450.00} and some change. We first ran into trouble with the company in the fall of XXXX, when they called my father saying the payments were XXXX months behind. I was confused by this, as I had made all of the payments. However, when I called, I was told someone else had accidentally posted payments to my account in XXXX XXXX and XXXX or XXXX XXXX in the amount of approximately {$370.00}. When I had called to make the payments those months, I was told that my payment was {$89.00} and some change. I told the people that this was not the correct amount but they insisted that payments had already been made and I needed to just pay the {$89.00} amount. So, I did. In XXXX XXXX, the mistake was noticed by XXXX XXXX, which subtracted both payments of {$370.00} from the account but never notified us. Thus, the account became overdue and my husband 's and father 's credit scores took hits. I called XXXX XXXX after they contacted my dad about the payments being behind. They explained to me what happened and were very careful to say that XXXX XXXX did nothing wrong -- the mistake was not its fault. I talked with the representative and set up a payment schedule from the end of XXXX through XXXX to catch the account back up. I made all of those payments. However, my dad again started getting calls from XXXX in XXXX XXXX saying the account was XXXX months behind, again affecting my husband 's and dad 's credit. I called and was told that XXXX of the payments I made were returned. This was not correct, as they were deducted from my bank account. I got documentation from my bank to show the payments were in fact deducted from my bank account. I submitted that documentation. I then followed up with XXXX XXXX and the person I talked to that time said that the payments were reflected in the account, but it was still XXXX months behind. At this time, I felt I reached no resolution and was n't getting any help from XXXX in figuring out what was going on. I decided to take a XXXX month deferral on lease to cover the XXXX payments XXXX said were missing. They sent the paperwork and it was filled out and mailed back to them. The next month when I went to make a payment, I asked them to confirm that the paperwork had been received. They did not have it on file. So, I requested it be resent. They resent it and it was filled out again and sent in the mail XXXX XXXX, XXXX. On Thursday evening, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, a tow truck came to our house and repossessed the vehicle. I had asked XXXX multiple times about the possibility of this happening while I worked to resolve the issues with them. They said multiple times that it was not in danger of being repossessed. We had to wait for XXXX to come up with a rights letter. It took XXXX days. We finally received it XXXX XXXX. I paid the amount {$2100.00} to get the car back and it was released to us on that Sunday, XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Again, my husband 's and dad 's credit was hit extensively. I called XXXX XXXX to make a payment on the account. I was routed to the redemptions department, where the man I talked to told me the account was closed and they were in the process of reopening it. I was able to make my payment. I also asked the man if he could tell me when the lease was up XXXX he said in XXXX, although I just had XXXX and XXXX payments left ) and the payoff amount on the vehicle. He said the payoff was approximately {$17000.00}. I then went with my dad to trade the vehicle in to XXXX in XXXX, Iowa, so I could get a new car. The finance XXXX called XXXX to get the payoff amount released so we could complete the deal. He was told that XXXX would not release that information because the account had been closed and was n't reopened. They said it would take XXXX to 30 days for everything to be updated. The finance XXXX told me he has been in his field for more than 15 years and he has NEVER had this happen where they would n't release the payoff information, even in situations of repossession. The car is in good standing. The payments are up to date. I do n't understand how it is legal for XXXX XXXX to withhold the payoff information, basically preventing me from trading it for a different vehicle. I have been repeatedly told that none of this XXXX 's fault and the blame is always on the customer. They have been confrontational and rude on the phone, as well as unwilling to work to resolve the issues that have happened throughout the past year. Their refusal to issue a payoff amount is the last straw for me and my family. I do not have documentation at this time, as XXXX closed the account making it impossible to access any information through our online account with them. I called yesterday to ask for documents but was told I could not have them.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX Payment was late, and was reported to credit agencies. - I wrote to TSF about this. Unfortunately, I was out of the Country. The auto payment was canceled because of a fraud warning from my bank. When I returned I made all payments necessary. This was the only time I was late and when I spoke with customer service they said the notice of being late was returned via mail. As this was the first time their policy stated that If I wrote in to this group the late notice would be dropped. It was not. XX/XX/XXXX Collection/charge off - This is possible the MOST frustrating event of all. Another driver struck my vehicle and totaled it. The insurance company paid for nearly all of the remaining balance. The unpaid off amount was suppose to be paid by the GAP insurance I had purchased, however they were dragging their feet. I had placed several calls to TFS letting them know where we were in the process and CONTINUED making my monthly payments so that I would not receive a late charge. During one of the calls I made to TSF I was told that payments would not help the total needed to be paid. I asked for two weeks to either get GAP to make a payment or I would. Despite TFS saying that I would be fine to wait two weeks they reported this to the credit agency. I made a full payment om XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$2300.00} with a confirmation number of XXXX. Gap insurance has also made a payment since then. I have not been reimbursed for anything and at last check TFS says I still owe money.

Billing problem
Complaint: XXXX afternoon. I need your help. I am having issues with Toyota Financial Services. I 've leasing vehicles since XX/XX/XXXX, with no any problems, sin I authorized the Bank to take recurrence payments, this way never I was going to be behind. The situation started sinceXX/XX/XXXX, when I went to the dealer to returned my old Rav 4, XX/XX/XXXX, with only 10,000 miles. The last monthly payment for this old account was withdrawal by Toyota Financial on XX/XX/XXXX, {$350.00}. At the end of XX/XX/XXXX I brought to the dealer my Toyota Rav 4,XX/XX/XXXX, Acct. # XXXX XXXX XXXX. I got my new vehicle Toyota Camry XX/XX/XXXX, same payments, same due date. The problem started here. Toyota Financial withdrawal onXX/XX/XXXX, {$350.00}, and instead to apply this payment to my new vehicle, Acct. # XXXX XXXX, the bank applied this payment once again to the old account for the vehicle that I returned at the end of XX/XX/XXXX. The dealer took care of the paid off, having XXXX balance. I sent via Certified Exhibits to the 3 Major Credit Agencies, since Toyota Financial sent a bad report against me, stating I was behind sinceXX/XX/XXXXup to XX/XX/XXXX. I submitted Exhibits showing receipts from Toyota Financial, statement from the bank and also Ref. # to prove that the bank is incorrect and I am correct. The 3 Major Credit Agencies contacted Toyota Financial Services, after the confirmed that I am correct and not behind, also asking the bank to apply theXX/XX/XXXX to my right account, since the bank applied that payment to my old NON existent account. This bad record was removed on my behalf. However Toyota Financial, just sent me a new bill for {$730.00}. I called 4 times, discussed this matter with 4 customer services, the names, XXXX XXXX other with ID XXXX they put me on hold never came back, every one have different statements, that I did not pay XX/XX/XXXX, I advised I 've the letter from Toyota Financial as receipt of my payment, the last one says I did not pay XX/XX/XXXX, I advised her I submitted to you guys Exhibits of each payments to my new Acct. she said we do not have nothing. Toyota Financial promised to the 3 Major Credit Agencies to update correctly the mistake, did not, because sent me a huge bill asking me to pay XX/XX/XXXX andXX/XX/XXXX $ XXXX, I paid XX/XX/XXXX already, the payment electronically has been submitted by XXXX XXXX, Toyota Financial received the payment onXX/XX/XXXX {$350.00}, XX/XX/XXXXpayment has been paid, and Toyota Financial still having it, refusing to move that payment to the right new account. I 've Exhibits, from XX/XX/XXXXup toXX/XX/XXXX, payments that Toyota Financial has taken and refused to upgrade my account.

Billing dispute for services
Complaint: I have purchased 3 vehicles from XXXX/Toyota in the last seven years. I traded my first XXXX in for a new XXXX and bought an additional XXXX XXXX. I am in the process of building a custom home and needed to payoff the XXXX XXXX ( three years early ). I put every penny made into paying this car off early. My payments were : XX/XX/XXXX {$9000.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$8100.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$5000.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$2000.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$5000.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$2000.00} XX/XX/XXXX {$5000.00} I made the last payment on the XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. I received a refund check of {$830.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. I thought it was an overpayment. I received a call a few weeks later saying that I missed the XX/XX/XXXX payment. I then realized that I accidently paid my XXXX XXXX ( # XXXX ) payment to the XXXX XXXX account. I now have a 30 days past due mark on my credit which is affecting my chances of closing on my house in two months. I understand that I made an honest mistake and that is why the money was sent back, I try to pay overage on all of my payments. I was planning on buying a XXXX XXXX after we closed on my house, but how can I give my business to a company that I was loyal to for so long and three cars later. I have spoken to three representatives at XXXX XXXX XXXX and the pretty much told me 10/10 times they will remove this mark from my credit because of the situation. I got a letter today stating that they will not remove it.
