Closing on a mortgage

Mortgage: Conventional home mortgage

Complaint: I contacted XXXX XXXX TD Bank Mortgage XX/XX/19 asking for a copy of the stock lease and certificated. XX/XX/19 the bank supplied a copy which should have been identical to that of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX but had deleted the apartment number and added a stamp for assignment and transfer. I have asked TD Bank to supply a copy matching XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with the apartment number and they had replied that they have no such copy even in their vault. I would like the copy from TD Bank which must match that from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Should the bank be unable to supply these documents, I would like an explanation.

Closing your account

Complaint: To whom it may concern : I have had a TD bank credit card since XXXX as I am told by them. I do not personally remember when I opened the account. It had a XXXX limit. I have been a member of TD bank and currently have other credit cards of theirs for years, since back when TD bank was XXXX XXXX. I have good credit and have never had delinquency issues with TD bank and have an excellent payment history. I had a credit card with them that I did not use for a period of time so I received a letter from TD bank in XX/XX/XXXX saying that if I did not use the card they would cancel the card on me. So since I did not want to lose this card I decided to start using it. I proceeded to use the card for 2 months charging over 800.00 on the card. The card was set to expire in XX/XX/XXXX and I thought I would get a new card in the mail since I proceeded to use the card and pay 2 monthly statements. I called up TD Bank and asked them when I would receive my next card. TD bank told me that they canceled the card and would NOT send me a new card due to inactivity. I told them I was using it and they knew I was using it! They still said that since it wasn't used for a period of time they were canceling it on me. My question is why did they send me the notice letter if they were cancelling me anyway!!? I felt robbed out of XXXX because I would not have used it but for the notice letter I received. But it isn't about the money but the fact that they canceled my credit card period, my revolving line of credit. TD told me I could reapply if I wanted to, knowing that that would cause a pull on my credit just so they could deny me or give me a lower limit! I feel robbed because I did what I was supposed to by using the card and paying 2 month 's statements. They should have done what they said and allowed me to keep the card open. I also called TD later to ask them to withdraw my wife as an authorized user and they told me I couldn't because the card was in canceled status. I lost my points also on anything that I bought. This is not right and I am formally requesting a complaint against TD credit card services and bank. I want my credit card opened up again, not only for use if needed but also so I can remove my wife from the account, so she isn't strapped down with debt that is mine.

Opening an account

Checking or savings account: Checking account

Didn't receive terms that were advertised
Complaint: TD Bank branch informed me if I opened a checking account on-line and met several requirements, I would receive a {$300.00} bonus. The requirements were to have a direct deposit and have deposits over {$5000.00} within 90 days. I opened the account online on XX/XX/2019 and met the direct deposit requirements. I called the TD Bank customer service dept. immediately after I opened the account to ensure I did everything correctly. After 90 days I called the customer service asking where my {$300.00} bonus was and they said it can take up to 125 days. I called at 125 days and they said someone would get back to me in 48-72 hrs. After a week with no contact, I again called and they said someone would get back to me. After no contact I called again today they said I was denied the {$300.00} even though I met all the criteria for the offer. The customer service representative said that the response they received from the promotions department indicated that I failed to click a link when opening the account which disqualified me for the offer. I informed her that I did what ever the offer on their website instructed me to do and then followed up with a telcall to ensure I did the correct thing. I asked for a supervisor who then changed the story and said that their promotions department said there was no {$300.00} promotion at the time I applied. This is completely wrong since how would I know the details of what to do if there was not an offer. I think they are running a scam to get new accounts. I am so glad that I didn't move all of my accounts to TD Bank and tested if first.

Problem with a purchase shown on your statement

Credit card or prepaid card: Store credit card

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I applied for a line of credit with XXXX XXXX to buy a new phone for my wife for XX/XX/XXXX. Upon applying for the credit line and being approved my order was successfully placed for {$520.00}. The following morning I woke up to an e-mail stating that I had NOT been approved for the line of credit and that XXXX was canceling my order. I didn't think much about it until I received a letter a few days later congratulating me about the credit line I was approved for, but to my surprise, the charge for the phone was still showing on the credit card despite the order being canceled and I never received the phone. I tried calling T.D. Bank ( the bank who manages XXXX XXXX ) and after 2 hours and a conference call to XXXX XXXX to remove the balance for a product I didn't get, neither company was willing to remove the charge. XXXX told T.D. Bank that it wasn't their problem and that they canceled the order, but T.D. Bank said that they can't cancel charges from XXXX. At this point, I owe a balance on a line of credit for a product I never received and it has been 20 days since the transaction was supposedly canceled. T.D. Bank even heard XXXX say that they canceled the order and that the charge should not be there. Please help me get some resolution on this before it destroys my credit. Additionally, I truly feel like T.D. Bank/XXXX XXXX was very deceptive with the advertising of this credit line and it feels like they just hooked me into applying for the credit line only to cancel the order after the approval went through. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Problem with a purchase shown on your statement

Credit card or prepaid card: General-purpose credit card or charge card

Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Complaint: Target card services, XXXX Acct XXXX Target contacted XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/19, according to their letter to me, and canceled my subscription. Therefore, not only did Target hit my card for {$39.00} without good reason, and they are forcing me to pay it, but THEY CANCELED THE XXXX PRODUCT THAT WAS PURCHASED! See attached letter from Target dated XX/XX/19. That means they are controlling both the purchase and the cancellation without my knowledge and permission. Dont I get a say in anything? If I have to pay for it, shouldnt I be allowed to keep it? I have attached all correspondence, 8 pages, received from Target. Furthermore, I suspect an immature Target employee attempted to fraudulently use two of my credit cards to make small online purchases. On XX/XX/19, XXXX XXXX notified me of a suspected {$11.00} XXXX purchase ; that card number was replaced. On XX/XX/19, XXXX assisted me with an obvious bad purchase for {$42.00} at XXXX, an account with a XXXX balance ; that card number was replaced. Pure harassment! The following is a summary of what has happened : 1. My Target credit card consistently carried a XXXX balance. 2. I misplaced my card and Target issued a new number/card. It still had a XXXX balance. 3. At some later point, without my knowledge and approval, no email-mail-phone warnings whatsoever, XXXX ( computer virus protection ) was allowed to sneak a {$39.00} charge onto my new Target card number. I knew nothing about it. The software was auto-installed on an old, dusty computer I rarely use. 4. In XXXX, I attempted to make a small purchase from Target online shopping to my Target card ; it was declined. Thats when I called and found out about the {$39.00} charge plus the {$27.00} late fee that Target added because I didnt make a payment. How was I supposed to know a payment was due without any phone/mail/email notification? 5. My phone number and address has been the same for 30 years. My email address has been the same for several years, possibly 5 years. 6. I called Target and angrily terminated my credit card. 7. I filed a dispute with Target and it was denied. Their letter told me they tried to reach me by phone and since I did not respond within their unreasonable time limit they denied the claim. Meanwhile, they managed to get correspondence to me by postal mail.

Complaint: On Friday XX/XX/XXXX, I opened a checking account online with TD bank. Account number XXXX. The process was handled fully on the internet and I did not phone in or walk into a branch. An opening deposit of {$25.00} was pulled into the account and I enrolled in direct deposit with XXXX XXXX to have an additional {$500.00} transferred into the account. Today XX/XX/2019 I attempted to log in and received a message to call in at XXXX. I phoned in and was told my account had been restricted. I was told the account could not be closed and funds could not be moved unless I walked into a branch. I stated that I was not in proximity to any branches and that I had opened the account online. I was told there was nothing that could be done and that only my local branch, located in South Carolina could assist. I was given a phone number for that branch as XXXX. I called and was told by a manager that they would need me to physically visit the branch which is located several hours away from my home in XXXX, North Carolina. I am being told my money is held and restricted unless I physically visit a branch, after handling everything online with the opening and verification process. I need my money returned to me.
