Complaint: I signed up for the Target Red Card tha t is supposed to be a debit card. They sent a credit card. This is now a new credit product on our credit bureau that I do not want. Target is able to close the card, but not to remove it off our credit bureau. They also will not take away the commission that the Target associate received for fraudulently opening the card.

Complaint: I was in the process of purchasing a car for my daughter & I got pre approved by XXXX XXXX ... I contacted two dealerships ( XXXX XXXX in XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX ) & forwarded my pre approval with XXXX XXXX but they still ran my credit without my consent ... They knew I had a pre-approval & I wanted to go with XXXX XXXX ... I emailed them my pre-approval as well so they would know the condition of my car loan ... Now I have all these hard inquiries on my credit report which should not be there ... The only one that should appear would be XXXX XXXX & XXXX ( my credit union ) which I applied with before I got my pre approval with XXXX XXXX. TD AUTO, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX & XXXX XXXX should have not ran my credit ... I have attached the emails between the two dealerships showing they knew I had a pre-approval through XXXX XXXX ... Please have them delete these HARD inquires of all three credit bureaus ... Greatly appreciate it ... Thank you ...

Problem with fees
Complaint: We mailed full payment of {$67.00} due X/XX/17 to Target on XXXX . Due to two federal holidays that week, payment was received and posted by Target 1 day late. We were out of town for 3 months and did not have mail forwarded as we pay all our regular monthly bills electronically so we did not see notice that Target received our payment one day late. Cumulative fees were charged each month until we returned home on X/XX/17 and found a bill in the amount of {$96.00}. This was only for late fee s ( late fees on top of late fees each month ) even though Target received payment in full in XXXX . I contacted Target several times and finally spoke to a supervisor who said they could not waive the late fees even though payment was made. I sent a letter appealing to Target headquarters that this seems unfair and excessive particularly since bill was paid. I received no response. We pay all our bill on time, in fact we pay early and are proud to have an excellent credit rating. Target reported this incident to the credit bureaus which undoubtedly will impact credit rating. I feel this practice of charging late fees after a bill is paid is unfair and excessive and impacts our credit rating and we paid more in late fees than the actual bill even though they were paid.

Complaint: I 'm writing on behalf of my XXXX brother and his wife who is also XXXX . They took out a home equity loan from TD Bank for {$55000.00} but somehow the bank rep managed to wire an additional $ 40k into their account. They never used the money and at some point the $ 40k was removed from their account, yet TD Bank is insisting and threatening foreclosure, saying their loan was for $ 95k when they only received and used the $ 55k. They were informed the rep was relieved of her position, but would n't release her name, yet still insist on the $ 95k. They have made numerous attempts and threats to foreclose. My brother recently went into a TD branch and asked them for an extension. He was given a week to get caught up on payment ( by this coming Wednesda y ) or they would send a sheriff to evict them. I wired them the necessary money today but I do n't have the money to hire an attorney and get this mess straightened out. Two older XXXX people with numerous health problems should not be consistently harassed and afraid of being thrown out of their home because of a major error TD Bank made.

Complaint: In XXXX , I opened a checking and savings account with TD Ba nk in XXXX , In XXXX XXXX I moved to XXXX XXXX , NC in which th e TD Bank in XXXX XXXX , NC became my primary bank. I had no interactions with the TD Bank in XXXX , NC over XXXX miles away. My original checking number with TD bank was, XXXX , this account is now closed pursuant to my request throug h TD Ba nks fraud and/or loss prevention department. The account was closed in the later part of XXXX XXXX . It was necessary to close my account, since I had lost my checkbook and debit card coming home from the hospital where I had been admitted. It is assumed that I accidently left my checkbook in the XXXX vehicle that transported me home from the hospital. My debit card was inside my checkbook. During the conversation wit h TD Bank security fraud dep artment it was advised by the bank that my account remain in no debit status until my social security direct deposit posted to my old account. TD Bank had established a new account. During this conversation, I was advised b y TD Bank that no prior authorized ACH debts would be processed, included XXXX a prior bi-weekly authorized I had authorized on my old account. XXXX was notified that I no longer authorized any ACHs due to the security issue with my account. Nevertheless, TD Bank without my consent, knowledge ( until after the fact ) or authorize transferred to ACH debits from XXXX to my new account. Those unauthorized debts where is the amount of {$31.00} and XXXX transactions made they unlawfully debited from my new account on XXXX XXXX , XXXX . After becoming informed of these unauthorized ACH debits I filed the appropriate disputes. XXXX Bank failed to process my request in accordance to banking regulations. Thus, it became necessary for me to refile my ACH disputes, ( see attached documents ). Then on XXXX XXXX , XXXX , TD Bank denied my ACH disputes for the second time. Whereby on XXXX XXXX , XXXX or thereabouts I contacted TD Bank as they requested in their letter and I requested the transaction information and copies of any documents they used in the decision. As of XXXX XXXX , XXXX , TD Bank refuses to provide me the transaction and copies of any documents they used in their decision.

Complaint: I submitted an application with TD bank back in XXXX XXXX and never openned the account never funded nor even activated the debit card. I then saw a promotional rate to receive {$150.00} for being a new client after depositting {$500.00} within the first 60 days of openning the account. Minding I had the application from XXXX i called customer service and asked if I qualified and gave them my information as well as explained my situation stated above. I was told by a TD bank associate their was no issue and I qualified for the promotion. I have called 3 times about the promotion and no one has brought up an issue until today Wednesday XXXX XXXX XXXX . My call eneded with a supervisor by the name of XXXX today XXXX / XXXX / XXXX at approximately XXXX XXXX telling me I did not qualify for the promotion due to having a profile in their system from XXXX and was advised by her to walk into a branch to fix the issue. I walked into a branch today Approximately at XXXX XXXX on the location on XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX in XXXX . I was then advised by an employee by the name of XXXX XXXX ( might be misspelling name ) that this was incorrect information due to my account being openned online which was known by every associate " assisting me '' and that " the customer service center is know for giving customers incorrect information '' this is sad and wrong. I want either all my fees returned for having the account open or I want my XXXX misleading bank and associates.. bunch if crooks

Complaint: This morning on XXXX XXXX XXXX , at XXXX XXXX i withdrew cash from TD bank on XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX , Ny. I gave the money directly to another individual ( for payment pf a sale ) and accompanied him to the XXXX bank on XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX around XXXX . When he deposited the cash into his account at XXXX XXXX , the teller held onto a single hundred dollar bill and deemed it " counterfeit ''. They confiscated the {$100.00} bill and gave him a receipt from the Secret Service explaining the congiscation. The reason for this complaint is i recieved a counter feit hundred doll ar bill from the teller at TD bank on XXXX and XXXX . When i spoke with the manager and explained tge dilemma, he simply stated " this happens sometimes, and there is nothing we can do about it ''.

Complaint: Problem : Opening a Target credit card back in XXXX XXXX , XXXX in XXXX XXXX , CA to take advantage of a promotion to save 5 % on that day 's purchase. The cashier offered the 5 % savings if I applied for the card, so I did. I filled out the fast credit brochure and put my address in XXXX XXXX . The cashier mentioned that I would be getting my target card on the mail in a matter of weeks. So I qualified, and ended up using my own VISA debit card to pay for the purchase. Now, what target did is let XXXX use my own VISA card to pay but in reality what they did is used my new target credit card to pay for the total amount of {$32.00} on that XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) day. I was waiting for the card for weeks but it never came. So, I decided it was best not to get involved with another card. During my monthly budget overview I must have not paid too much attention to that purchased as it was XXXX and a busy month. To my understanding since I paid using my own VISA card I was very unaware that Target had charged me using that card. On XXXX XXXX , XXXX I got a call from a collector from Target demanding that I pay an amount. This was a total surprised to me and I had no idea what she was asking me to pay. I ended speaking to Target 's complaint department, customer service and the dispute department and filled a claim after I explained to them that I never received a bill from target for the amount I owed and to this day XXXX do n't even know the credit card number because I never was mailed one. They did n't care, the collectors only wanted me to pay after making me feel really bad and called me a liar many times. 8 days after the conversation with the Dispute department I got a later from Target telling me that I had put the incorrect address and that was it. After waiting 2 hours, 2 hours on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX to speak to someone in the dispute department I tried explaining my problem and that I was willing to pay the amount that was charged ( {$32.00} ) on the card initially but that the fees now amounting {$110.00} were very unfair. When I asked what address they had on file they told me it was my old address in XXXX , CA where I lived 5 years ago. I asked how would they have that address the lady mentioned, " we got it through public records ''. So, at that point I knew that I had not filled the incorrect address because I opened the card at the XXXX XXXX Target, I live in XXXX XXXX , CA and to this date I would n't have remembered the apartment number where I lived 5 years ago. This is a very illegal charge and I need to get resolution and stop the harassing calls. I am willing to pay the amount that was charge that day on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX but the fees are unfair. I never got a bill from target to pay anything. I had no clue that the amount was charged on the card. They took advantage of the XXXX holiday to bill me without telling me and then when the fees amounted to an amount they want to collect they contacted me.

Complaint: I would deposit large sums of my paycheck into this account to save money for future bills or purchases and also as an emergency fund. Nobody was on the account or authorized to access this account. It was in my name only and until an employee, XXXX XXXX , while working as an employee of TD Bank had given my account information and balances to my wife which caused me to get kicked out of the house and divorced. This has caused all sorts of financial and emotional turmoil. I contacted the bank and filed a grievance. An investigator called me from the bank to take down my statement. I have not heard from the bank since, but have learned that the employee was fired over it.

Complaint: Due to job loss, we fell behind on our credit card payment to XXXX XXXX XXXX ( " XXXX '' ), which then caused XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX " XXXX '' ), a collections law firm to begin to call us and send us letters. We have attached a few of these letters, which implied were coming from an attorney, but really were not. We agreed finally to try to make some payments, and were told by XXXX that we would have nothing bad on our credit report. XXXX lied to us, as they put a judgement on our credit reports. <P/>We read that the CFPB last week filed a lawsuit against XXXX for fraud and deception ; which is one of the reasons that we are filing this complaint. <P/>After we found out about the judgement, we then discovered that XXXX XXXX XXXX was not licensed nor registered to do business in Indian, and thus did not have any access to the Indiana courts to file a judgement. Despite the lack of legal standing, XXXX did it anyway. This seems to be an unfair, abusive, and deceptive business practice by XXXX. <P/>When we told XXXX and XXXX that they had done some bad things, and were violating numerous consumer protection laws, they merely sold our account to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( " TD Bank '' ). TD Bank has done nothing to correct this problem, as the employees of XXXX are still servicing the account, and rely on XXXX for legal advise. So they continue to cover this up, and have done so for many years now. <P/>Now that the CFPB has taken action against XXXX, this would be a good time for the CFPB to investigate this matter, and take appropriate action against XXXX, Target, and TD Bank.
