Complaint: I have a current mortgage serviced by Seterus , Inc . I am trying to pay down the principal every month by adding {$120.00} payment. I make the payments over the phone, separately, and the representative on the phone tells me I can make the payments this way. Seterus ' representative gives me a separate confirmation number for each payment ; mortgage payment and the extra principal payment. But when I receive my mortgage statement, it shows the extra principal payment going into a suspense account instead of going to the principal balance. I have called to get it fixed, just to have it occur again the following month. This month I received a letter with my mortgage statement explaining that Seterus " can not accept partial payments '' so they put the money in a suspense account. When I make the extra principal payment I am not making a partial mortgage payment and the representative on the phone assures me the money will be put on the principal. I called Seterus this morning and spoke to a customer service agent who told me that Seterus can not take extra principal payments over the phone because the system can not accept it and therefore every time I make the payment over the phone it will be put into a suspense account and eventually moved. She advised me to send a separate check to Seterus in the mail for the principal payment if I do n't want the money to end up in a suspense account. I do not understand why a servicing company can not apply payments over the phone as directed when it takes an employee to enter the principal payment into the computer either way. I do not believe I am the only person trying to responsibly pay down my mortgage and being told conflicting information. Putting my extra payment in a suspense account instead of the principal on allows Seterus to make additional interest and costs me every month. I would like to know if a servicing company can purposefully make it more difficult to pay down the principal balance, especially for people who do not use snail mail anymore, in order to dissuade people from doing so.

Complaint: Seretus a loan servicing agency does not have sufficient internal systems to deal with non-standard situations. I am appointed XXXX in a family case. The agency has not been able to understand my position. I want them to send a matter to their Legal department. After time was spent sending them information, they acknowledged they could speak with me, I had the social, and the loan number from their documents, but then insisted I state the original names -apparently the full middle name- of the mortgagor. I had not been informed of what information I would need in my earlier conversations with them. I contacted the parties, so with additional delay I was told they do n't remember what name was used, but I am going to try again with the middle names. I appreciate their need to protect the information they have. This problem with probably arise with executors and other parties, there needs to be a path way for people with legal rights to the information to find it.

Complaint: They are continuously reporting me delinquent and pass due to credit reporting agencies saying that I am 30 days delinquent when I have made a payment every month since XXXX XXXX, 2015. XXXX 2015 I starting a Loan Modification trial. I completed 3 successful payments for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, & XX/XX/XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX, my loan was modified and I made my first payment XX/XX/XXXX for XX/XX/XXXX payment. I paid XX/XX/XXXX payment of XX/XX/XXXX and have made every payment since then. With an IDPROTECT representative on the line with me ; XXXX XXXX XXXX, at XXXX, said my XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX Payments got " wrapped up in the loan modification '' and were not applied to XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX even though I signed the loan modification papers in XX/XX/XXXX and the Loan modification was official XX/XX/XXXX. This is why they are showing me past due in error. We are in need of a new car and this error is seriously affecting my credit score and my ability to obtain credit and other financial services. We have been battling this inaccuracy since XX/XX/XXXX when we started receiving collection calls that we were past due and I kept telling them we are not and provided proof. All the representatives that I have spoken with, Including XXXX XXXX today, have agreed I have paid all my payments on time and that there is an error in their system. Yet, it still does n't get fixed and I am being punished and damaged with bad credit reporting. I feel I am left with no choice but to seek legal action and sue for damages to recover my losses.

Complaint: My first mortgage payment with seterus was in XXXX 2016. XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX were all paid on time. At the end of XXXX I received a letter stating that I owed for all four months payments. Their claim is that the payments were denied by my bank, and I was informed to send them proof of payment through fax. They requested my monthly bank statements showing proof of payment. I sent my monthly bank statement showing the payment went through with all but the last XXXX of my account numbers blocked, and all financial transactions not pertaining to them blocked. Included in the fax was proof that the payments had posted, and 2 days later been authorized by the financial institution as well as a letter from the bank manager expressing that all payments had went through and not been denied. Upon calling seterus to confirm they had received the faxed documents i was informed that my loan was going into moderation, and also that I had to resend the bank statements showing every transaction from my bank account ( which I will not acquiesce to ). I continue to get letters threatening foreclosure or default, and they refuse to allow me to make a current months payment until I " repay '' the previous 4 months total.

Complaint: I am victim of Mortgage Fraud perpetrated in XXXX.
I was approached in XXXX to invest in some real estate properties. I closed on XXXX properties the same day, as I was told that they were " bundled properties ''. The agent that contacted me during his investigation mentioned that that should have been my first " red flag '', as you can not close on that many properties at the same time due to income and credit verification. Loans were closed for a certain amount, and Title company took thousands of dollars without me knowing in my name from a bank account. The agent suggested I contact an attorney. After speaking to the XXXX. XXXX XXXX in Ohio, i received a letter that the mortgages were fraudulent. I contacted the all XXXX mortgage companies to get some kind of resolve, as I am not in a position to keep the homes. I am seeking your assistance as I would like to get a mortgage histories erased from my credit report. I 'm in the process of getting a Deed in Lieu for all of the properties.

Complaint: Seterus took over my loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX ... Since then my wife and i declared Bankcrucy XX/XX/XXXX it was final.. I was 2 or 3 months behind on the mortgage do to lack of work ... XXXX XXXX XXXX gave the mortgage to this Bad company!! I have been trying to refinance my mortgage since XX/XX/XXXX but to no luck! Steers just keeps telling me to send the same old paperwork in and ask me if i want to get ride of the house.. Since it worth more then i owe!!! CAN SOME ONE HELP ME!!!! This is a joke and a run around!!!!! I have been paying the mortgage and giving extra money .. I am on a forbearance Never heard of this before!!
