I have roof and interior damage, that need to be repaired ASAP to avoid further damage from inclement weather and the possibility of mood developing. Seterus actions as a result of a natural disaster should be illegal and they should be investigated and charged.

Complaint: Tornado hit my property on XX/XX/2015 in XXXX XXXX, XXXX . XXXX XXXX insurance was there and took prompt care of everything including remitting the initial check. Mortgage Lien Holder ( Seterus Inc. ) was on the check for the claim. Checks were endorsed and sent to XXXX. XXXX has been drawer out for repairs. M House is finally repaired but Seterus claims the house is XXXX % complete due to lost barns not being rebuilt even though they had XXXX authorize no barns have to be rebuilt. The property has plenty of equity, 'followed the procedure documenting funds to be paid back to us ( homeowner ) months ago. Seterus is using other departments ( XXXX ), so called 3rd party companies ( XXXX XXXX ) to hold up payments so contractor can put a lien on property.

Complaint: I am very upset of the way Seterus has handle my loan. I summited a complete modification packet since XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I spoke with Agent XXXX XXXX on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and she had verify that my documents were received and that my file was going to be summited to the under writer for review. However that did not happended they keep prolonging my loan and now I have an active sale date for XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I had to fight with different agents and everytime I called there were no new notes. This is really frustrated becaus I do not want my house to sale. I had to even reach out to my investor to make sure this time Seterus reviews my loan based on my current income. My home is severely under water and my investor XXXX he participates in The XXXX XXXX Modification. Also they started to offer principle forgiveness. Therefore I am hoping that my loan can be review for all the workout options.

Complaint: The complaint is against Seterus Inc, " debt collectors and servicers. '' As many as ten times we have sent in extra lump sum payments to be applied to mortgage principal, only. On every occasion Seterus applies the check to regular monthly payments. When we call in to correct the matter, we are kept on the phone as much as 45 costly minutes while they reluctantly handle the matter, and try to assert we did something wrong ( we always write a detailed letter with our check including all requested and relevant info on the check itself ).

Complaint: I submitted a complaint a couple of months ago and got a response that was not satisfactory since the mortgage company still has not accounted for all of the money in question. I reached out to the individual who replied to my complaint like she told me to do with further questions, but its been a month and still has n't returned my call. Here is the original complaint : Since Seterus started servicing my loan ( XXXX ) I have always been on time with my payments. I recently refinanced my loan with another bank in XXXX and during that process I called Seterus to ask about my payment history/payoff letter and we uncovered that I was showing late each month since XX/XX/XXXX. Looking into it further, my loan is a modification which started in XXXX and for 5 years the interest rate stayed the same. In XX/XX/XXXX, that interest rate changed causing my payment to increase by a little bit. I was unaware ( being 5 years later ) that the change was happening because I was never notified by Seterus. They told me because of my bankruptcy ( XXXX ) they could not send letters asking for money, but when it impacts an account to this magnitude I 'm not sure why. If my payment changed because of escrow they sent me a letter so not sure why they did n't do it for this change in payment. I paid my regular payment like I always do on XX/XX/XXXX for XXXX 's payment in the amount of {$1700.00} and since it was short by about {$80.00}, I was told the payment went into a suspense account thus not paying XXXX payment. A simple phone call or some sort of correspondence would have corrected this problem as I have always been on time with my payments, but I received nothing so I thought everything was okay. I should have at least been giving the opportunity to correct this in XXXX and not find out I 've been delinquent 8 months later. Since that time, my account has shown late every month and late fees were being pulled from this suspense account ( again no notification ). In XX/XX/XXXX a fee of XXXX was pulled from the suspense account for some sort of corporate advance fee?? With all of the late fees and the XXXX fee for who knows what, it still does n't come close to adding up to my original payment and they told me the suspense account had a {$0.00} balance. This simple lack of communication had put my account delinquent and I have always made my payments on time. ( Please check history ). I am no longer with Seterus, but I am asking if you can review my account and their deceptive practices. This lack of communication on their part has cost me hundreds and hundreds of dollars in fees and if I would have been notified about the gap in payment, I would have paid the extra XXXX that was needed to pay XXXX 's payment and I would n't have been in that situation. Since this communication they have admitted fault and credited me {$440.00} in late fees ( Attached ). They also show a credit on the payoff letter of {$800.00} which brings the total credit to me of {$1200.00}. Since my original payment that went into the suspense account was {$1700.00} that leaves {$500.00} still unaccounted for. I would like to see all transactions that came out of the suspense account that will account for every penny of my payment because as it stands now I am still owed XXXX. I have attached all of the paperwork that Seterus sent to me, but it does not provide an accounting of transactions from the suspense account.

Complaint: My ex filed bankruptcy on a mortgage for a house that we are both on the loan. For 2 plus years I have been trying to find out if the mortgage payments were being applied correctly and if their was a monthly mortgage payment that was missed. Never have I received any correspondence from them nor have I been told on the phone whether or the monthly mortgage payments were made and if any payments were missed. Back in XXXX of this year ( 2016 ) when I called once again about the mortgage trying to get information they finally told me that the mortgage had been behind XXXX for over a year and they were charging me late payment fees of {$500.00} and inspection fees of {$310.00}. A lady named " XXXX '' told me to write a letter to Seterus explaining that I was never told for over 2 years about any late payments and never received any letter in the mail and that since I made a good faith effort in catching up the mortgage payments that she thought I had an excellent chance to get the fees waived. Well today, XXXX XXXX, 2016 I just received the companies response back and they denied waiving the fees. I called them immediately at XXXX and their csr whom I spoke to agreed that their was no way for me to know about any payments, payment history etc but she was unable to do anything about it. In addition they are now reporting it as negative on my credit report which again, I had no way of knowing whether or not the mortgage was behind.
