Complaint: XXXX Mortgage servicer : XXXX, XXXX I requested to be mailed a paper statement each month since their website does not allow me to see any information regarding my account. They also do not report my mortgage to any of the three major credit bureaus. I made the request for the above two items. They stated because I had filed for bankruptcy in XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) and the home was never included in bankruptcy, that they will not mail me a paper statement or report my mortgage to the credit bureaus. They told me to send a letter to their correspondence Dept which I will do. They will not talk to me however, but only through mail. And it will take 30 days to respond to me. I do not understand why they cant do these two requests since I have had other mortgage service companies prior and our bankruptcy never prevented my ability to obtain a monthly statement or for them to report to the credit bureaus. Please advise what recourse I have. I deserve to be able to receive a paper statement from XXXX and for my payments and payment history to be reported to the credit bureaus.

Complaint: I am two payments behind on a mortgage on a 3 family house, but have otherwise been paying.
Seterus ' representative was taking pictures of my house and actively engaged my tenants in conversation. They willfully lied to my tenants telling them they should get out immediately because the house was being foreclosed upon ( not true ).
Seterus is NOT helping mortgage customers, but actively CAUSING financial hardship and foreclosure by encouraging my paying tenants to leave - by LYING to them!
Loan sharks have more subtle methods.
Their tactics are totally ILLEGAL.
They need to be fined.

Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : Background Information : In XXXX, due to circumstances beyond my control I had to make the painstaking decision to file for bankruptcy. While in the process of filing for bankruptcy, I also chose to apply for a loan modification with the assistance of my lawyer on my home mortgage with XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX to maintain ownership. After my bankruptcy was approved, XXXX XXXX XXXX placed me on a trial loan modification in which I agreed and paid the required amounts on time. Prior to my loan being transferred/sold to Seterus Inc., my modified loan with Bank of XXXX approved XXXX XXXX.
After receiving my welcome letter to Seterus Inc., I called in XXXX XXXX to inquire the status of my loan transfer and to ensure that all paperwork was received from XXXX XXXX XXXX showing that the loan modification was approved in which my lawyer at the time assisted in the process. When I spoke to the representative she informed me that all my paperwork was not placed in the system and that I should give it a couple of months to be completed. In the meantime, she also informed me to pay the current amount that is showing in the system in the amount of {$1900.00}.
Throughout the next year and half, I would call in and speak with a customer service representative everyone couple of months to inquire whether or not my loan modification paperwork was finally received and updated in the system because the monthly mortgage payment increased to over {$3400.00} per month. This increase was confusing and could not be explained to me except that I now owe back money and it was lumped into my monthly payments. After explaining my case, I was informed to continue to pay the amount that I have been paying and that I would be given 2-5 years to pay the extra amount off and that I would receive a letter explaining this. To this day I have not received such a letter.
In XXXX XXXX, I once again inquired on my status due to the fact that when I attempted to make my XXXX mortgage payment I was unable to make the payment online. I logged in on several different occasions trying to make payment thinking that maybe there was a problem with your system. After my last try, I spoke to another representative on XXXX and was informed that my bankruptcy paperwork was finally received and that I would not be able to make any payments on line because my account was considered to be in an inactive foreclosure. After explaining my situation to this representative ( XXXX ), I was informed that she still does not see any paperwork from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX showing that a loan modification was approved. She then placed me on hold to speak with her supervisor. After she spoke to her supervisor, I was informed to fax over my approved loan modification documentation so it can be reviewed, and updated so I can continue to maintain ownership of my home that I currently reside in. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX a letter of explanation along with the approved notarized loan modification paperwork sent from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX was faxed to the number provided by Serterus. I received a confirmation that the fax was successful sent/received. Still till no avail I received no returned phone call or letter from a Seterus representative confirming that they received the faxed documentation and that they would research more into it to resolve the issue.
I have been forced to file a complaint because I am unable to resolve this issue with my mortgage company. Seterus has always had an updated email/ phone number to contact me. This was always asked to verify my identity.
Finally, in the past couple of weeks, I received notification from the Maryland Department of Housing agency informing me that there is an intent for my house to go into foreclosure. I spoke with a home mortgage agency and it was suggested that I file a complaint because prior to my loan being sold my loan modification was official approved and Serterus needs to honor and update their system. I have faithfully made the payments they initially instructed me to pay on time, however, the overcharge of the payments I did not as per the conversation that I had with the representative over the phone.
Attached is the documentation showing the pre-approved loan modification, the approved loan modification ( notarized and signed by myself and XXXX XXXX XXXX ), and the fax confirmation that I indeed sent a copy of it to Seterus so they could update their records so I can continually make payments an maintain my home ownership.

Complaint: We successfully short sold our home in XXXX of XXXX. The process was easy and fast. Everything was done flawlessely or so we thought. Seterus has yet to report to the bureaus that this account has been closed and the house has been short sold. So as of right now for the last 21 months straight my wife 's credit and my has been getting hammered and the account shows over XXXX delinquent. I have reached out to Seterus several times to have this corrected. They have yet to do so. It is almost XXXX full years later and they need to be held accountable now.

Complaint: It is very hard to understand why after many people sue this horrible institution they continue to lie to people defraud their property and play innocent by lying to CFPB.After defrauding my property against any law I will not be surprised to see Seterus putting contract killer to kill my family in a top secret close door act as they did when they foreclosed illegal since my name is not on their Mortgage Note but is on my deed. Seterus encourage theft inside my property and lie to CFPB stating that they reply. To what they reply since they lie to all people. There are many legal cases against them, for fraud against customers and this time I do not have any mortgage and my name is not on any mortgage note but Seterus destroy my property without any legal rights. I will never ever stop.? Lying is normal to this horrible corporation but I will never go away until I get back my property and get the {$260000.00} stolen and damage property?? In my situation they as a Plaintiff encourage vandalize abuses fraud, theft and destruction of the property and even allow criminals to rent my property on XX/XX/XXXX so criminals can loot even more my property. Now they try to tell me to take my staff after {$76000.00} stolen property and {$260000.00} they must pay me before entering inside my house. Is my property and will remain my property since I do not have any mortgage on it and my name is not on the Mortgage Note. How many Crime needs Seterus to do before they lose their license?? It is the responsibility of CFPB to bring the criminal activity of this company to justice and revoke their license to operate. They must pay all stolen and damage property. It is hard to believe that a person with o name on a Mortgage Note can lose their property due to lies and abuses as Seterus did to me. We are going to be in Court in case my property is not return for the next 50 years I am sure of it. Complaint: We ran into problems 2014 when my husband was laid off. Industry did away with XXXX XXXX. We tried to get a loan modification but XXXX XXXX XXXX advised us to go with an interest only Home line of credit. At the time real estate was booming so we were given a much higher loan based on the value at the time. I cant begin to explain the sequence of events that took place after that! My mother was XXXX I couldnt put the house up for sale while she was Ill. I became XXXX unable to work and so on. XXXX promised to help but only made matters worse! I only wish I understood the importance of paying the mortgage at the time but now it is escalated beyond my capacity. Please please help us Im begging you help us save our home!!!

Complaint: I have been trying to correct the problem with Seterus, Inc. for two years. Back in 2015 around XXXX I made a payment and it was places in a suspense account. I contacted Seterus and I was told I needed to make another payment because it was placed as an over payment on the account and not towards my monthly payment. I was not willing to do so because why should I have to make double payment because your system XXXX XXXX my payments online. I have called and had people in the customer service say that they are going to look into this issue and never have. I want my late fees refunded and the amount corrected. I am tired of getting call at the end of every month saying my mortgage is late and in fact it is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
