They are not showing an open account and haven't been reporting my payments over the last two years. My last call to them was on XX/XX/2019 and I spoke to XXXX who advised that he would escalate my concern and I should expect a response with 24 hours. I have yet to hear back from the company. I am never given the opportunity to speak with anyone else but the representative that answers the phone. All other customer concerns have to be done via email. This is causing much distress as it is effecting my credit score among other business dealings.

Complaint: I mailed ] my XXXX mortgage payment from XXXX, Oregon to Pennsylvania on Monday morning the XXXX of XXXX on XX/XX/2019, I applied to refinance my residence. my lender called me to inform me I had a mortgage late on my credit report for XXXX. I went to my bank and found out Selene credited payment on XXXX XXXXI have been mailing my payment around the XXXX of every month and have never had a late payment. I want the late payment removed. with 4 day delivery the payment would have been in their possession on Friday the XXXX. note their statement in the first sentence of paragraph 3. PAYMENT MUST BE RECIEVED BY THE LAST DAY OF THE MONTH. I am requesting proof from Selene that they received my payment on XX/XX/XXXX. again worst case it was received on XXXX that still leaves 1 extra day ( Saturday ) for my payment to be in their possession.

Complaint: Between XXXX and XX/XX/2019 Selene Finance made a change to their payment portal. Now if you pay XXXX as payment and try to add XXXX as principal it comes to XXXX for the total. If you make the principal XXXX then it comes to XXXX. This is after their system failed for several months preventing the ability to apply any additional payment at all on the principal. They sent me a couple letters assuring me they arent skimming the pennies but I dont understand why they dont fix it. I also was seriously upset when I could not pay extra on the principal. But they sure call and harass you starting on the XXXX of the month if they have gotten your payment yet. Selene Finance is a terrible servicer and I am so sad that united veterans uses them for mortgage servicing.

Complaint: We finally received a response to our XX/XX/XXXX request on the deduction of {$1000.00} from our escrow account via XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Selene Finance admitted that the so-called escrow analysis was an audit of their records and reflected an error on staffs behalf with our account being credited with the {$1000.00} when we refinanced ( 2 ) years ago in XXXX. While this should have been told to us in the XX/XX/XXXX, correspondence on a rate increase with NO explanation, the fact that it took numerous e-mails, calls and correspondence from us - a three-month delay in an honest response is appalling. The redeeming factor with that correspondence was that once the error was admitted to, we were also assured that 1 ) Late fees would not be held against us. 2 ) Adverse credit reports would be removed and 3 ) We would be expected to pay the additional escrow for XXXX, XXXX and XXXX that we withheld waiting on clarification for the {$1000.00} negative adjustment to our account. We have fulfilled our responsibility and our payments are current and correct as of XX/XX/XXXX. Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX. My sister XXXX XXXX and I co-purchased and co-own a home at XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX California. Our FHA mortgage was necessary because of my sister 's poor credit and being in collections on student loans. Our initial lender was XXXX XXXX who sold to XXXX XXXX. XXXX sold the loan to Selene Finance LP POB XXXX XXXX PA XXXX this spring. My sister set up the online access. On XX/XX/19 I called Selene requesting a pay off amount and learned my demographic information was not provided to Selene when XXXX XXXX set up the online account. Selene advised closing the online account and setting it up again with both of our contact information. When XXXX XXXX learned I contacted Selene she yelled at me that I did not have authority to call Selene. That day she transferred {$12000.00} from our joint account into her personal account and called Selene and told them I was bipolar and not to do anything I asked. The Selene representative I talked to named XXXX told me this when I talked to her on XX/XX/19. Since then Selene has refused to provide me any documents regarding the mortgage and has not answered two emails requesting information. I no longer have online access to the account.

Complaint: Im sending you the following in the hopes that you will please help us. The following is information concerning a complaint ( Complaint ID : XXXX ) that I previously sent to the BBB of the XXXX, Texas areathe XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXXon XX/XX/2019, regarding the abusive treatment my family received from employees of Selene Finance. We are sending this to you now specifically because the XXXX of XXXX XXXX did not take action against Selene Finance, even after they continually ignored our complaints. In order to make our initial complaint, the XXXX website redirected us to the XXXX of XXXX XXXX, where Selene Finance is located. I made my initial complaint because I was verbally abused by one of Selene Finances employees over the phone, and because I also received an inappropriate letter from the Selene Finance representative in charge of the Loss Mitigation Department, XXXX XXXX. I called Selene Finance in XXXX and I spoke to a male representative, whose name I can not recall because I did not write it down. He was verbally abusive to me, he threatened me, and he insulted me, calling me, shameless, and an opportunist. He also told us to stop trying to save our home, and to just turn it into '' them. I felt abused, intimidated, and humiliated by his conduct and ended the phone call. The letter I received from Mr. XXXX onXX/XX/2019which requested my Death Certificate, Probate Will, Quit Claim Deed, Divorce Decree, and other documents that were absolutely inappropriate in regards to my caseseemed disrespectful, malicious, and seemed to be written to impede the successful processing of my application, in an effort to prevent us from saving our home. Additionally, the letter stated that if I didnt send these documentswhich could not possibly existand they were not received by XX/XX/2019, my request [ would ] be denied. This letter was the most important reason I sent my complaint on XX/XX/2019. On XX/XX/2019, when we had not received any word from Selene Finance 9 days after sending them all the necessary documents to process our modification application, we were faced with the possibility of losing our home due to Selene Finances inaction. We became desperate, and latching onto any possible solution, my husband filed for bankruptcy in an effort to save our home of 15 years. Our desperate act of filing for bankruptcydue in no small part to Selene Finances silence, inaction, and maliciousnesswas later thrown in our faces by the company in their second response to us. The XXXX of the XXXX XXXX area merely sent Selene Finance my complaints, and sent me Selene Finances responses. That was the extent of their involvement with my case. From Selene Finances dismissive responses, we can tell that the XXXX of the XXXX XXXX area did not castigate, or even censure, Selene Finance for their conduct. The first response I received from Selene Finance was from XXXX XXXX of the Executive Resolution Team on XX/XX/2019. In her response, Ms. XXXX only mentioned the rude phone-call I had been subjected to and apologized for this, but she did not address the inappropriate letter I had received from Mr. XXXX on XX/XX/2019. In fact, it was as if she had completely ignored that aspect of my complaint, because she continued by telling me to contact Mr. XXXX if I had any other issues. We rejected Selene Finances initial response to our complaint and upheld our initial complaint because nothing had been resolved. We explained our reasons for rejecting Selene Finances response in a reply sent via the XXXX to Selene Finance on XX/XX/2019. On XX/XX/2019, we received a second, more egregious response from Selene Finance via their representative, Ms. XXXX, which did not even mention anything from the complaint. This second response also did not offer any solutions to our case. Selene Finances second response still did not address XXXX XXXX inappropriate letter and conduct, which gave rise to the complaint in the first place. We also suspect that the company 's collective actions are driven by discrimination against us because of our XXXX origin. The fact that they asked for our Race and Ethnicity in the Selene Loss Mitigation Application supports this belief. More worryingly, Selene Finances refusal to even mention Mr. XXXX inappropriate conduct leads me to believe that the company condones, accepts, and approves of his actions and this behavior as official company policy. This is why we so desperately need your help. Unfortunately, we have no other alternative but to work with Selene Finance because they own our mortgage. However, the lack of professionalism, ethics, and honesty in their dealings with us worries us greatly, and causes us to doubt the fairness, honesty, and transparency of any transaction that we need to undertake with them. Because of the above reasons, please, we ask for your help so that these representatives can not continue to mistreat and abuse us, use practices that are lacking in ethics and honesty against us, and impede us from obtaining a just solution so that we may save our home. Update ( as of XX/XX/2019 ) : Mr. XXXX XXXX recently denied our request for a loan modification on XX/XX/2019, after previously granting our request only two weeks prior on XX/XX/2019, without providing the grounds for this denial. Denial of our request was not justified as the information used in the evaluation of our request ( Estimated Value, Gross Income, Liabilities ) remains the same as it did when our loan modification request was previously approved. Therefore, I wanted to inform you that I am currently appealing the denial. We believe that Selene Finance LP is retaliating against us for the complaints that we have filed against them. Please help ensure that this company deals fairly with us, so that we can obtain a loan modification that will allow us to save our home. Complaint: Loan Servicer : Selene Finance LP Selene Finance Agents Spoken to : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Problem : Unable to reach a resolution regarding my mortgage that doesn't entail foreclosure In XXXX of 2016, I went on medical leave. By XXXX of 2016, I found myself unemployed while I was still on medical leave. Up until 21 months ago, I was able to keep up with my mortgage payments until all of my savings, checking and XXXX were depleted due to medical expenses. I signed a modification agreement in XXXXXXXX of this year. The terms of the reinstatement of the mortgage was contingent upon the settlement I was due to receive. I advised the Selene Finance agent ( XXXX XXXX ) at the time that the settlement would be confidential and I could not guarantee that I would be able to cover the balloon payment. The settlement was not enough to cover the balloon payment and I advised XXXX XXXX of this information. He has asked me several times to send the paperwork regarding my settlement to Selene Finance disregarding the number of times I have told him that the settlement agreement was confidential and I can not advise anyone of its terms. When I asked Selene Finance who owns my mortgage loan, they would not give me that information. I had to go to the county courthouse to find out. Unfortunately, the owner, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX entrusts all of the mortgage decisions to the loan servicer. In my case, Selene Finance LP. So, I am back at square one dealing with some of the most unhelpful individuals. Despite numerous futile attempts to have a mortgage resolution with Selene Finance LP, they remain unhelpful and uncooperative. They have advised me that the investor does not want my home but, they ( Selene Finance ) do not want to work with me to help me stay in my home. I have asked if the outstanding balance be tacked on to the end of the loan and the terms of the mortgage lengthened. Their answer - no. I have asked if there is any amount that I could pay besides the outstanding balance to remain in my home. Their answer - no. In my opinion, they do not want to help me at all. I am trying to get back on my feet after being sick for the past 3 years and suffering a severe financial loss. All of my efforts to work with the Selene Finance LP agents listed have fallen on deaf ears.

Complaint: Mrs. XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX Mr. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, NJ XXXX To whom it may concern our mortgage is current but we have an issue with reported fees. I am writing this complaint against Selene Finance XXXX who just recently transferred my loan to XXXX XXXX XXXX with outdated reported fees. We fell behind on our Mortgage payments starting on XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. We made a full payment with penalties and fees. We promised to make a payment but we only sent a partial payment of {$500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX we received a motion filled of intent to foreclose on our property. The charge was for being 122 days late although it had been only 90 days ; because Selene Finance had falsely reported the mortgage as being late to the New Jersey Court charging us for being late as early as XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX between the months of XXXX and XXXX of XXXX. Please see the Letter head for cure of debt on XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX the Law offices out of XXXX New Jersey. On behalf of Selene Finances XXXX we had received a Letter of Intent to Foreclose from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX the Law offices out of XXXX New Jersey. The motion was to move on to foreclosure for being 122 days delinquent and if the sum of {$14000.00} cents was not paid in FULL or if we did not Cure the Delinquency They would motion to proceed with foreclosure. Take note that our XX/XX/XXXX mortgage statement does not reflect the note having been satisfied according to XXXX We made the payment We made a three month full and a one month partial payment XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. Please see the XXXX XXXX Mortgage Statement- We owed a full payment of XXXX for the month of XX/XX/XXXX. We owed a full payment of XXXX for the month of XX/XX/XXXX. Total {$320000.00} plus partial payment 0f {$100000.00} Grand Total of {$4200.00} I asked a question about the corporate Advance fee of XXXX. I was told it was for legal and administrative fees. This is the calculation- XX/XX/XXXX {$1600.00} + XXXX {$1600.00} plus Partial Payment of {$500.00} on the XXXX of XXXX. We were technically late on XXXX XXXX XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX soon after we received intent for foreclosure for all of it {$640000.00} Plus fees Deferred Principal Balance fee XXXX and Corporate Advances ( Lawyer ) fee {$5500.00} Grand total XXXX Owed. On XX/XX/XXXX we paid {$14000.00} XXXX XX/XX/XXXX we paid {$2000.00} Grand Total {$16000.00} I called the Selene Finance automated accounting system and it said my account was then current. They had even suggested that we not make any payments for threXXXX months until this issue was solved. Although it was generous We did not discontinue any payments for fear it was disingenous. On XX/XX/XXXX we paid XXXX and followed up on XX/XX/XXXX with {$200000.00} a Grand Total {$16000.00} PAID IN FULL- under 122 days as alleged as facts The following months we continued to receive bills for this said- deferred principal balance- again being listed with Selene Finance- however- We never received any special programs such as a loan modification or even payment arrangements to catch up so we inquired more about this balance- I was forwarded to file a dispute resolution department and was told to wait 30 days for an answer. In the Interim we chose to set up automatic payment plan every month and a subscription with credit Karma to track Selene and our credit profile. We did asked Selene finance XXXX to report our payments. A case manager made it clear that it would take a 60 days! We have over XXXX in equity in our home. Sure enough the Automated system said we were current and credit Karma reported us current from XX/XX/XXXX until the present day. ( please see the attached files to this document ) So-yet again we receive another mortgage statement on XX/XX/XXXX for a balance of {$6.00}, XXXX with the deferred Balance and YTD late fees and other charges. And we have not been late since XX/XX/XXXX. Since XXXX we have make automatic monthly payments from our bank at XXXX XXXX in XXXX New Jersey. Not to mention we are monitoring our credit profile with Selene Finance online on the Phone line and with XXXX XXXX a service we had to insist upon. So fast forward Our loan has been moved to XXXX XXXX they would rather you call them XXXX XXXX and they are not a XXXX XXXX company but thats not what I have learned at XXXX. So now XXXX is excitingly aware that I am shopping for a refinance and wouldnt you know it- I am ushered to some guy name M-a-r-c. Who offers me a FHA Refi with a 7 % interest rate on a {$450000.00} loan. My mortgage loan is set to decrease very quickly credit karma reported 44 % of the loan has been paid off. So I am set to have my monthly notes decrease through amortization. I am keenly aware that my principal multiplied by the interest will lower my payments and what we owe. Our records show that someone at DATA FACTUAL hard pulled our credit report and dropped it down out of the XXXX range to the XXXX range about one week before transferring over to XXXX call it what you want I call that suspicious. We are current on our mortgage as of XX/XX/XXXX. I am attaching the legal document and the credit karma document and two mortgage statements If you can get explanations for this deferred Payment and other fees I would Like to know because all we got from Selene Finance is.. Im right because I say so! Because of their tactics I would like to file a lawsuit against Selene Finance XXXX for our emotional worries and their heavy handed tactics and manipulation. I pray the cfpb will step in to investigate my accounts and settle these issues before we move on with XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: For several months we have tried to get in touch with our " lender '' ( our original lender was XXXX XXXX, who transferred the loan to selene finance, the company we are having issues with ). Daily calls are not returned, the one officer in charge of our case does not reply or answer despite messages left constantly. We are automatically patched to her number when dialing in, as she is in charge of the case, and also automatically patched through to her voicemail as she is never in the office during her stated business hours. We had an offer to buy the house over value and needed to get approval due to our status on the loan, and they did nothing until the buyer rescinded the offer. This is unacceptable. We should be signing documents to put the house under contract, but because selene finance would not follow through on their end we are back on the market without a buyer.

Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 we applied for a loan modification with Selene Finance. The document stated that all documents needed to be in by XX/XX/2019. A complete package was in on XX/XX/2019 and was sent to underwriting. On XX/XX/2019 loan modification was denied because a down payment of {$15000.00} was needed. We appealed and on XX/XX/2019 Selene Finance called and said it was approved but no letter would be sent out until the {$15.00}, XXXX was paid. Selene Finance sent a foreclosure letter on XX/XX/2019 and the sale was XX/XX/2019. The sale was postponed until XX/XX/2019. We were in Chapter XXXX and the case was dismissed on XX/XX/2019. The attorney for the buyer of the property wrote a letter stating that the sale was XX/XX/2019. The borrower was given a breach letter on XX/XX/2019 for {$82000.00} and changed the amount to {$110000.00} on the date of the sale. They charged {$24000.00} in interest for 10 days. An appeal was filed within the 14 days allowed for a bankruptcy appeal.

Complaint: My mortgage servicer ( Selene Finance ) has placed numerous fees on my account which continuously keep me behind on my payments. The fines are unnecessary and phone representatives are unable to explain them. One fine in particular is a property inspection fee which is unnecessary and is charged to my account each month. Another issue that I have with Selene is the fact that the company breached my privacy by divulging my personal information without my consent. Selene sent a representative to my home when I was not home and a family friend who was at my house was asked : " when do you expect the loan to be brought current ''. Also, my mortgage changed servicers several times. The first time it changed I was in the midst of a mortgage modification with XXXX. During the process XXXX lost my paperwork, denied my request, and committed numerous RESPA and TILA violations. I made some payments during this time however XXXX was unable to show where the payments where applied to my principal. Ultimately my mortgage was transferred to 2 other servicers then to Selene who eventually finalized the modification. The modification placed almost 10 years worth of mortgage payments on the end of my loan which placed me underwater with my home. I would like for a consumer finance representative to assist me with this case.
