Complaint: I have been trying to get a loan mod from Selene Finance for over a year.
Selene Finance has refused to give me any notification that they denied my loan modification request. I was only told over the phone by XXXX that my loan mod request was denied 5 times and there was no reason for the denial. Now they are notifying me that they will auction my house on XX/XX/2018.
At mediation earlier this year, the lawyer for Selene Finance lied in mediation three times in front of the judge. He said he had sent me a loan mod package. He said I did not accept a loan mod package he sent. And he said that I had never sent a loan mod package ( which contradicts his first two lies ) ; He presented a loan mod package in mediation which was basically saying pay the same mortgage you can't afford to pay.

Complaint: Hello, I was working with another company regarding a business mater.
I was told by the other company that I have not paid my mortgage since XX/XX/2018. I have paid my mortgage and the mortgage is current.. My mortgage is showing at the credit bureau that I have not paid my mortgage since XX/XX/2018.
This can effect my credit score as well as other adverse actions.
Also, I have not received my mortgage statement since XX/XX/2018. When I call Selene Finance XXXX XXXX a customer service agent said a third party administrator will send the statement. I have been calling since XX/XX/18.
Please help.

Complaint: I owe {$97000.00} on my Mortgage which was held by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which was send to XXXX XXXX XXXX. And now is held by Selene Finance in XXXX, Texas. I requested a loss mitigation packet through Selene Finance which has fallen on death ears. I sent my XX/XX/2018 payment to XXXX XXXX XXXX under a loss mitigation agreement which passed along to Selene Finance which were return to me around XX/XX/2018. I wishing to maintain this property and am trying to pay my payments.

Complaint: Begun to seek a review for loss mitigation of any kind to bring my loan current and Selene Financial employees are inadequate. This is a very stressful process and when the servicer of your loan is contridicting themselves and keep asking for documents you have already sent, it needs to brought to higher attention, I initiated a review the week of XX/XX/XXXX. Upon the review, I was advised to send in outstanding docs.
Advised by supervisor to send in outstanding docs : Husband contribution letter ( I am not receiving income ) His bank statements for XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX All of his expenses Sent in everything on XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX supervisor advises outstanding docs : Contributor needs to sign the application Profit and Loss statetement for contributor since he receives a XXXX ( independent contractor XX/XX/XXXX statment ( supervisor verified XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX on fille ) Sent everything in XX/XX/XXXX Called in to Selene Financial to be updated on review, supervisor ( XXXX ) again tells me about outstanding documents : Letter from me indicating I am not receiving income Husbands XX/XX/XXXX tax returns XX/XX/XXXX statement ... sent in XX/XX/XXXX Called today XX/XX/XXXX and was advised by one representative my husband income would not qualify as a contributor!!!
Supervisor ( XXXX ) wouldn't confirm or even verify all docs that have been asked for up until this point have been received.
Spoke to XXXX ... she verified all docs had been recieved on XX/XX/XXXX.
She advised me I have not given them to review the packet. I asked what was the time frame of documents being reviewed. She advised 2-3 days and I had not given them time to review. Today is XX/XX/XXXX. Its been almost two weeks since I sent in what was requested In the meantime, the last bank statement expired on XX/XX/XXXX.
I am believing the review is being conducted by several underwriters that is not looking at the whole picture of all doc requested. Its too many hands on this one loan. My heart goes out to anyone else in this situation. The package, according to what as been asked, seems to have been completed since XX/XX/XXXX. My loan is becoming more deliquent each month. I will not loose my house because of anything I done wrong. I have complied with this company and request for the modification.

Complaint: When my mother passed, I inherited her property. I received the deed a few months after her passing. I worked out a modification with the original lender, XXXX, and was paying as agreed upon. Eventually, my loan was sold to Selene Financial. I entered a new modification plan with them and was paying as agreed. My payments were to be around $ XXXX/mo ( with taxes and insurance escrowed ). Unexpectedly, my mortgage doubled to around $ XXXX/mo with no explanation. The mortgage statement said that my escrow was - {$4200.00} which i would take that to mean that they paid the taxes and insurance but after speaking with the county, Selene never paid them. I had to pay my taxes and insurance out of pocket. They are no longer accepting my payments and they are not honoring the modification.

Complaint: What and absolutely awful and deplorable organization this is. Every single person I attempted to have conversations with were rude and unprofessional. " Hurry up sir and can't have you holding up my line. '' Recently XXXX XXXX Mortgage sold my mortgage to a company called XXXX XXXX. Upon reviewing the letter received by XXXX, I reached out to XXXX XXXX via phone call to discuss the transfer process and ensure a smooth transition. It was incredibly unsettling when communications were established with XXXX to learn that they are a collections company. It was through many other follow up calls to XXXX about my account that it became evident that there was a considerable amount of unprofessionalism and lack of intercompany communication. It was challenging to find and obtain a member of this company who could provide me with the information regarding my account. After the unsatisfactory encounter, I started to do some research into XXXX mortgage. What I found was profoundly disturbing. I compiled a list of negative reviews. The sources for these reviews are known for their contributions to the consumer affairs environment. The XXXX XXXX XXXX registered 100 complaints in the last 3 years and give the company a D- consumer grade. As of today XX/XX/18 I reached out to my Credit Union for advice. The only choice is to refinance the home through my credit union. This comes a a stiff price of {$12000.00} in closing costs to accomplish and rid myself of the deplorable conditions currently experiencing with XXXX XXXX. There needs to be a better less expensive way to relieve me of something I had no control over.

Complaint: My XXXX XXXX XXXX was bought out by another company. The company is Selene Finance. I was never notified. I went to go pay my bill and saw the loan was removed due to release on XX/XX/2018. I had to call XXXX to ask why this had happened. It took me about half hour to get through to them due to high call volume. They informed me that my loan had been sold to Selene and gave me their number. I asked why I had not been notified and she just said I am sorry you were not notified.
I called Selene after being on hold for about twenty minutes. The rep. asked for my info and after getting it told me that this phone call was an attempt to collect a Debt. I told him that my account was not delinquent and he said yes that is true. He gave me my account number so that I would be able to complete my online account. I asked him why I was not notified since the first payment would be due on XX/XX/XXXX. He said that I would be receiving a packet in the mail very soon and then I could mail in my payment. I asked why I was not notified sooner, he had no answer.
If I had waited for them to get me this info by mail and then mail it in, the payment would have been late. I completed the online account with Selene and scheduled a payment for XX/XX/XXXX. I see on the XXXX that many people have gone through this with not being notified and then having late payments. Also it seems that this company has a problem with posting payments on time and others going in to foreclosure due to this practice.

They now expect us after paying twice to pay the month of XX/XX/XXXX unless we want late fees. Thankfully we have the money but it is shady that we got double charged

Complaint: My mortgage company, by default, is Selene Finance. I had never missed a payment until last fall ( which was due to greatly decreased income as a result of having to retire on XXXX ). I tried to get caught, but they would not take my payments. I applied for and reciev d ( in XXXX ) a grant from XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of XXXX. I have been trying to work with SF sorry nce them to get them to accept the grant money and modify my loan an. They did not send me the paperwork until XXXX, which I returned by the end of the month.
Meanwhile, theyve been sending methreatening letters, charging me late fees and further interest. Today I finally recieved another bill from them, in which they have accepted the money, but the staement says I owe XXXX months, XXXX late month with added fees, but they have not sent a loan modification, or lowered my monthly payments.

Complaint: My mortgage was sold to this company Selene Finance from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2018. I sent my XXXX mortgage payment to Selene Finance on XX/XX/2018 via check. I called Selene Finance on XX/XX/XXXX to see if they received my check payment. I couldn't get online their website because it didn't recognize my account. Customer service rep told me to call back on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked her what is going to happen with my check payment until that time she said it will get applied to my account. So I called back XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to customer service rep named XXXX which was very rude to me when I asked him if they received my check yet. He said no they didnt. I then told him i will make my payment directly with my bank via electronically which I did. On XX/XX/XXXX i tried to go on selene finance website to see if my payment posted, but now Selene has kicked me off of site. I tried to log in and request a code so I can sign into website but I never get a code from them via email. So now I have no idea how to contact this company to see if my payment was received. How can this company do this.? Every time you call them you are on hold for a very long time over 45 mins. I have read a lot of complaints about this company saying they never got your payment and then add late charges to account. They do whatever it takes just so consumers can not contact them whether website portal or phone. I just want to know if they received my payment. So i dont get any late charges thats all.

Complaint: We had a mortgage with XXXX XXXX XXXX, everything was fine until we had a wind damage insurance claim. the Insurance co ( XXXX ) sent us a check to be endorsed by us and the mortgage company on XX/XX/2018 in the amount of {$22000.00}. the rules kept changing on how to get the contractors paid. I got my insurance company to call five times to help get this problem resolved. I told them that I was going thru the Cal. DOJ if we did not get the checks. On XX/XX/2018, they sold my loan to Selena Finance XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX, TXXXXX, XXXX. I called Selena and they said a balance of {$9000.00} was transferred, However : no insurance or claim adjusters report were forward and Selena said, I could resubmit all the paper work again. I am aXXXX % XXXX XXXX veteran and my ceiling is falling down. I had the roof repaired and floor replace ( paid ) the ceiling and paint still needs yo be done. I have been back and forth since XX/XX/2018 and has cost me {$78.00} in mailing all this paper work. I am not going to do this again. I will send the appraiser cost for repair.

Complaint: I have never missed nor have I ever been late on a mortgage payment to Selene Finance. I stopped receiving statements from the company in XX/XX/2018. I want concerned at that time, as mail delivery in my area is spotty at best. I had no reason to suspect anything being wrong and continued making my mortgage payments as usual. My payment was {$670.00} a month and i continued to pay {$700.00} a month as I am in the habit of paying additional to lower my principal. I received a letter regarding bankruptcy rights XX/XX/2018, and tried to log into my account on line. I kept getting a message that no account associated with my information could be found. I then called and was told that no one could talk with me about my account since I'm being represented by an attorney. I tried to explain to them that I am Not being represented by an attorney as and was then told I would need to call back and talk with the bankruptcy department. I called the next day and was on hold for nearly two and a half hours. When someone finally answered, I was told the office closes at 4. I called the next day and again was on hold for two hours only to get a recording to call back during regular business hours. The following day I received an email from an attorney with a letter of intent for accelerate. I then sent a letter to Selene along with bank statements showing all payments clearing my bank on time and in full. I do not know if my payments have changed due to escrow, but I have paid an additional amount for the last three months to cover this. I am still unable to actually talk to a person and I have had no response to my letter or payment statement.
