Complaint: Santander Bank, branch @ XXXX PA closed our XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) accounts on or about XX/XX/2015. Representatives at branch & compliance told us they mailed XXXX checks for the ending balances. As of this date Santander Bank has lied misrepresented and refuses to return our deposit money, {$28000.00}. Branch Manager XXXX XXXX is not cooperating, nor is XXXX or XXXX ( branch assistants XXXX. Compliance Dept has told us XXXX times that the branch closed the accounts and is able to issue us a bank check at the branch however, no one is cooperating. Our XXXX may close as a result of Santander Bank 's fraudulent representations and refusal to return our demand deposit money, principal amount owing {$28000.00}. We ask the honorable CFPB to open an investigation and seek justice which we believe is the principal amount plus penalties and interest. Thank you.

Complaint: My friend in class XXXX reffered me to this website called XXXX, a babysitting website, and so I was told this is a legit website. I got a reply to a job posting from a women name XXXX XXXX, stating that I would help take care of her sick sister. The women promised {$500.00} in advance and {$500.00} each week for the responsiblilities. She told me she would erase the posting so no one else would get it and that she would email me. She 's been texting me of this number ( XXXX ) and told me she sent me a check and then asked if I received it and asked me to deposit it into my bank account and so I thought the check was real and deposited the check at my bank ( Santander ). I deposited the check on Friday the XXXX of XXXX 2015 and it cleared Tuesday the XXXX of XXXX 2015. She then asked me to deposit XXXX that same day for the apartment for her sister into an account by the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX ; Account type ; checkings ; Account number XXXX ; Routing number ; XXXX I deposited the money in cash and then the next day I got a call from the bank telling me the check was no good. I went straight to the bank and they told me there 's nothing they can do that I am held responsible for the funds. I am a XXXX year old college student just trying to get extra work on top of my other XXXX jobs. I just got my first car and have to pay for my XXXX college classes on my own, I pay for all of my own expenses with no help from my parents. when I went into the bank the same day they called me to tell me, a bank teller then looked at a second fake check that was delivered to me the next day I brought in for proof and she looked at it and saw right away that it was a fake check. My confusion and frustration is why did n't the bank teller that I gave the fake check to deposit not notice the same thing the bank teller noticed about the XXXX one, mind you both tellers worked in the same exact bank that this occurred. I 've been scammed and I feel as though I deserve a dispute. I have been with Santander a long time now and they wont even help me from recoving from being a victim of fraud. They are not helping whats so ever and they wont allow to even make claim.

Complaint: Santander is not following XXXX guidelines for XXXX lien holders. I am currently in the process of doing a short sale. The first lien holder - XXXX has approved our short sale and allotted Santander the required amount. Santander is dragging their feet not issuing an approval. The first lien holder will not stop the scheduled sheriff 's sale for Monday XXXX XXXX without Santander issuing an approval letter. We are doing the right thing following XXXX guidelines for a short sale and Santander is not.
