Complaint: I applied for a charge card and was turned down in the bank 's letter tome dated XXXX/XXXX/15. The letter invited me to call XXXX withquestions but even though the personal at that number worked for thebank 's credit card operations they purported to have no way for meor even them to contact the banks credit card decision personal. The letter from the bank also invited me to appeal thedecision in writing which I promptly mailed XXXX/XXXX/15. Many attempts to obtain a written response tomy Appeal Credit Decision letter since have beenunsuccessful.

Complaint: I am currently sick, receiving only a percentage of my salary through a XXXX policy. Because of my illness and lack of funds, my checking account became overdrawn. Santander bank has charged me XXXX overdraft fees in the amount of {$35.00} each, for a total of {$350.00}. I called Santander bank and they agreed to remove only XXXX of the XXXX overdraft fees. This is an outrageous punt of money and it is discriminatory and predatory against someone with a XXXX.

Complaint: Santander bank failed to comply with their funds availability policy ( that the first XXXX $ of ATM deposits will be available on the first day after the day of the deposit. This failure caused a " default fee '' to be charged ( by them ) when the XXXX $ was not available the next day. On XXXX XXXX, 2015 I made a ( Non-envelope ) ATM XXXX of a {$4000.00} check, and on XXXX XXXX an automatic payment was rejected for insufficient funds because XXXX had decided to hold the funds until XXXX XXXX. In the months that followed while trying to resolve this, I have been lied to ( and even threatened ) repeatedly - in person, by phone and by letter. I have never been given any justification for the banks actions except that " they reserve the right to not honor their own policy '' ( a reservation not stated anywhere in their policy ) I am a long time customer in perfect standing ( the account involved is more than 30 years old ) which was well before Santander was allowed to come from XXXX and take over United States banks. Complaint: I have been a victim of an atm scam and Santander bank will not provide me aresolution. I noticed XXXX separate cash atm withdrawls by viewing my online account at Santander on XXXX XXXX. The XXXX amounts were XXXX, and then XXXX additional charges for XXXX. Upon reviewing these I called the bank immediately to inquire ; as I knew I did not deduct these funds. They told me I would need to wait a few days as they were in pending status. Upon clearing, I followed up by filing a claim and gave the details. Atm cash withdrawals on my account that I did not make, however, I had my card in my possession. I waited the XXXX days for them to complete the investigation and the claim was denied with the reasoning that I had the card, there were no incorrect pin attempts and the transactions were done in the city I work. I told them this was not acceptable, wanted to see the tapes, and they had it done any adequate due diligence. At this point I call them every day to speak with someone to help and they just put me in a que and say someone with call me back - I have yet to hear from anyone. I started another investigation but due to the lack of due diligence I do n't foresee the outcome changing. This can not be okay - I have done some initial research and know that they are in violation of XXXX XXXX I am asking for your help and how I can get a proper resolution to these charges I did not make.

Complaint: This complaint is in regards to a joint checking account with Santander Bank ; my son & I opened the account approximately 10 years ago. My son XXXX is the primary user of the account. Over the 10 years he has never bounced a check. XX/XX/2015 he made a mistake and the account became over-drafted ( he did n't realize ) a few days later he received an automated deposit in which made the account positive again. He then paid his rent and other bills with out knowing he had been charged several over draft fees. This resulted in the account again becoming over drafted. Apparently he was allowed to continue to use his ATM debit account due to the fact the account has over-draft protection. The account went several days into over draft before he realized the entire situation. Once I called the bank & spoke with the branch manager they had charged the account {$40.00} per day with a total of {$750.00}. The manager after checking with her regional supervisor agreed to refund {$100.00}. My complaint is as follows : myself nor my son where given written or verbal notice of the over draft of the account or fees being charged. 1 ) The fees are excessive in nature! 2 ) The overdraft protection should n't allow the consumer continue to engage in charges to the account when over-drafted after a certain amount of usage. 3 ) The bank has misused overdraft protection allowing the bank to charge the consumer absorbent fees without notice. 4 ) The fees charged to the account and action taken by the bank is egregious towards consumers.
