Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I paid the first payment of my new mortgage on line. I then set up for auto pay and they immediately deducted the second payment on XX/XX/XXXX. When I realized what had happened I called Roundpoint Mortgage Services Corp. on Monday XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to someone in customer service who said that the credit will be applied to my account in a day or two. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I called and was told that it had to be processed and a check would be sent out on XX/XX/XXXX. I explained that this would not be sufficient as I had already waited several days. I was put on hold twice for 20 minutes waiting for a manager that never appeared so I finally hung up. I called back again and got another story and the check is still not going out and I will still have to wait for it. I again was put on hold for a manager. After 15 minutes I was told a manager would call me back. customer service is in the Philippines.

Complaint: I would like to request the assistance with an issue I have with Round Point Mortgage Service which is servicing my XXXX backed home loan. In XXXX I refinanced my XXXX Home Loan with XXXX which then handed the loan off to XXXX and now Round Point Mortgage Service. Due to a unrelated issue in XXXX I filed Chapter XXXX Bankruptcy due to a divorce however, I did not file against my home and continued to pay monthly mortgage payments as scheduled. I went through the Chapter XXXX repaying all unsecured creditors and satisfied all of the US Bankruptcy Court requirements. The issue came after I completed the Bankruptcy. I contacted Round Point Mortgage Service in reference to my mortgage which took several weeks to get Round Point to remove me from Bankruptcy status at which time they claimed I was 4 months behind on my payments from the beginning of XXXX. I then received a certified letter from Round Point stating that if I did not pay the four months of payments by XXXX XXXX they would began foreclosure procedures. I have contacted Round Point numerous times in attempt to resolve this issue. I have sent them 26 months of Credit Union Statement, Payment History 's from previous mortgage services companies and court documents. My attorney has sent signed documents from XXXX XXXX attorney certifying my mortgage is in good standing. Round Point has still failed to resolve this issue, they have lied about speaking to my attorney and give a different excuse each time I speak to them. I am seriously concerned about losing my home, my federal employment and XXXX benefits due to this issue. I am in hope you can offer assist to me in getting a resolution to this issue I can provide all of my supporting documentation to support fact that I am " NOT '' in default on my mortgage.

Complaint: I have a home which was damaged by water. We received the homeowners insurance proceeds. These proceeds were made payable to me and the mortgage company, Roundpoint mortgage. We have provided Roundpoint mortgage all documentation to release said funds so we can get the repairs done and move back in the home. Each time we call to see what the delay is, they request for additional documentation on the contractor. We are behind on the mortgage and are submitting a loan modification, but we really need Roundpoint Mortgage to release the funds so the repairs can be done.

Complaint: For the second time in a year, we have received a drastically different payment amount and escrow analysis. The burden this creates on short-notice for a family of XXXX is tremendous. We have relied on our mortgage company to do their job ; however, we are for the second time, realizing this is not happening. RoundPoint Mortgage is giving us a $ XXXX payment increase and asking that we come up with a huge addition to our escrow in a short amount of time. This should n't be allowed to happen like this. We can not afford the home we are living in for {$200.00} more a month and XXXX dollars to be paid on short notice. These are DRASTIC changes in our finances and we have been waiting on call backs from XXXX at RoundPoint Mortgage who was supposedly getting to the bottom of this issue for weeks now. Having your home and mortgage in the hands of RoundPoint Mortgage is risky and terrifying for a family. This is the second time in a year we have received a notice of a large increase in payment. We never get clear answers and wait on callbacks that will never come. The only way we received a resolution in the past was going through this Bureau. That should n't be the way business is done. We are busy enough!

Complaint: This company continuously miscalculates escrow and did n't pay the tax bills I sent to them until I reached out to them 3-5 times. To this day, I have sent XXXX tax bills and only XXXX was paid with my initial request over a month ago. The XXXX tax bills exceeds the escrow amount so I asked that it be increased or recalculated. Instead, they decreased it. Their customer service is usually awful, and people usually have no clue what I 'm even talking about.

Complaint: My mortgage company incorrectly reported my payment history as XXXX days late to all three credit bureaus. I am currently XXXX days late, not XXXX. I am requesting this information be corrected immediately. The entire reason for my payments that started falling behind was because Roundpoint did not pay our Homeowner 's Insurance despite it being escrowed. In order to avoid our policy not to lapse, we had to pay our of our pockets. Roundpoint took almost 2 months to rectify their mistake and reimburse us for the error.

Complaint: ESCROW COMPLAINT This escrow was forced on me against my will and without my consent. I had an outstanding balance on my taxes of XXXX. I did n't know about it and as soon as the county informed me by mail, I paid it. However, I was too late. Roundpoint paid it and forced an escrow. They claim that they called my house many times. I have the phone records. THERE WERE NO CALLS. No letter was sent Once in XX/XX/XXXX there was a XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) shortage on my taxes. They want to also claim that this " deliquency '' was another reason for the escow. They actually wasted a stamp to let me know this. I sent them a nickel in the mail since they were so concerned. In addition, I paid my property taxes seven months in advance ( pre-payment program ) from XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Roundpoint failed to acknowledge this and kept demanding escrow. They said they " the tax funds will just be rolled into the next tax installment. '' NOW THERE IS AN EXCESS IN THE ACCOUNT. They said they did an analysis, but they did NOT take the pre-payment into consideration. By law, they can not have more than XXXX USD in excess ( commonly called cushion funds ). There is an excess on the account and they will not acknowledge it. I have called them many times. The custumer service is very difficult to understand. I do n't think they are very informed. Please assist me with this situation. They should not be collecting tax money for taxes that were paid in advance. They had no right to force an escrow. I paid that XXXX. It was not a fatal amount. They have their little agenda to force everyone on an escrow. I was not informed correctly

Complaint: Statement filed with BBB and Roundpoint mortgage on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX : I acquired a mortgage on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and began making bi-monthly payments of {$320.00} beginning XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. the first payment was not due until XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, so I should have been saving some interest as well as having about {$100.00} additional applied to my principal. Come to find out, they have this set up so that I can not save on interest. Money is being put into escrow. additionally, funds received prior to the first of the month are not being applied to the intended month at all. there is no way for me to get ahead the way that they have this set up. I called today to have my due date changed to the end of the month so that I can make my payment early in the month and save on interest, as well as not worry about late fees when using direct deposit. I get paid on the XXXX and the XXXX so if I do bi- monthly payments, I will never be on time the way that they have their system in place, even if I am paying ahead. If my due date is toward the end of the month, say the XXXX, we will have no problems. I will appreciate any assistance in clearing this up. All I want to do is make my mortgage payment and save a little interest the way I was told I would be able to do so. I was told today that I would have to refinance to change the due date, this seems like a crooked statement to me and I will not accept that. I will not hand over thousands of dollars to refinance a mortgage just to change a date on the papers. Thanks, XXXX XXXX Since filing my complaint, I have continued to make my payments as I have. I received a payment coupon mailed on XXXX that stated my outstanding principal was {$75000.00}. I received another mailed on XXXX, my outstanding principal is now {$75000.00}. How does my principal go up {$410.00} in 4 days when I have been paying extra toward my mortgage from the beginning? I get no answers from Roundpoint. I was on hold for 45minutes earlier today.

Complaint: While out of work and searching for a new job in XXXX, I proactively requested a mortgage loan modification from Roundpoint Mortgage ( XXXX XXXX because I was unsure how long my job search would last. I have never missed/been late on a mortgage payment in 30 years of home ownership and I did n't want to start then. RPM and I began a protracted, XXXX loan modification process characterized by having to resend the same paperwork multiple times and XXXX different points of contact that changed without prior notice. I made all reduced payments on-time as directed by the loan modification group. The net result of my loan modification was a $ 200+ decrease in my mortgage payment and I am totally current. During a review of my credit history in XXXX, I discovered that RPM had reported me to the credit reporting agencies as making late payments during the loan modification process even though I was compliant with all instructions from RPM. A month of calling and talking to many people at RPM ensued, and despite assurances that it would be taken care of, which yielded no results on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. RPM would not change their reporting me as making late payments. This is an unfair business practice. I followed all RPM instructions completely. I should not have to bear the brunt of what appears to be a communications gap between the regular mortgage and loan modification groups or a generally bad business practice. I request that Roundpoint Mortgage contact the credit reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) and remove the late payment reports from my credit history.

Complaint: In XXXX XXXX, we submitted our 1st hardship package to Roundpoint Mortgage as we had fell behind 1 mth. They continually lost paperwork, never called, or sent out letters ; unless I contacted them first. During the process, we were repeatedly told us that it was approved, and docs were being processed and would be mailed out. Later we find out we were denied, 1st letter stated that our only option was short sale or deed in lieu, as income was insufficient for other options. When I called to find out why, I was told to reapply. So, yet again, I submitted package. As this was in review, I spoke several time to loss mitigation and was told that, payment would not be accepted and they even went as far as locking us from our online account. During this review, we were informed by XXXX XXXX XXXX that they had submitted the home to foreclosure ... ... DUAL TRACKING ... .while we were in review for loss mitigation. Once I involved the VA, things appeared to be moving along. Then they continued with needing additional paperwork, which was submitted and EVERYONE giving me different answers, as our Point of Contact was never available. Finally, when we did receive our modification, it was {$30.00} less than our regular payment and that was due to a decrease by XXXX interest and taxes. Which, we took as we had no other alternatives. I was told that after modification was complete, credit would be rectified, as " missed '' payments were added to the end of the loan. After we submitted all the notarized paperwork in XXXX XXXX, I was informed that to this day we are still in active mitigation. I asked why and NO ONE can explain it. Due to their delays, we had to have a Monitored Disbursement on a Homeowners Insurance Claim and the Contractor was furious due to being told 1 thing and someone else saying otherwise. Credit has NOT been rectified as stated and we are still sitting in Active Mitigation.
