Complaint: Roundpoint Mortgage completed an escrow analysis on XXXX/XXXX/2017. After such analysis my monthly payment amount increased by over $ 250/month ; however there was no change to my escrowed items. The only escrow item is for property taxes which have actually decreased from the prior year. I have been calling Roundpoint Mortgage since midXXXX to no avail. I was told by a CSR that I was unable to dispute the new payment amount and that I needed to make the payment by XXXX XXXX, 2017 or I would be assessed a late fee. I have never been late on my mortgage and value a good credit rating so I made the payment on XXXX XXXX, 2017. Since that time I have contacted Roundpoint numerous times and spoken with ( 8 ) eight representatives ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ) and continue to get mixed information. No one is capable of resolving my issue or providing me with an explanation for the increased payment. I have emailed proof of insurance coverage ( Flood, Hazard, Content ) to ensure these items were not escrowed.

Complaint: I submitted a application to Round Point mortgage requesting a Deed in lieu. I do not want to keep the house because I can not afford it. I have attended workshops for struggling home owners like myself and have learned that the best option would be to do a Deed i n Lieu. I have faxed Round Point all the requested documents to be reviewed for a Deed in lieu however ; now Round point is re questing a listing agreement. I asked them why since I am not planning to put it up for sale because I do not have time to do all of that. I have asked a Round Point Agent to be provided a Deed in lieu as soon as possible because I have a very ill father and I need to travel out of town to see him. I do not have a time frame on as to when I will come back to the USA. I want to finish the Deed in Lieu process before I travel out because I do not want to keep the house. I rather return it to Round Point and walk away. Please help me I am scared that my father might pass before I get to see him. I honestly feel Round Point intentions are to prolong my case so my home can finally foreclosed instead of them offering a Deed in lieu. I am still willing to work directly with Round Point so we can have th is issue resolved as soon as possible.

Complaint: I successfully completed a loan modification on XXXX XXXX XXXX after making 3 months of on-time " trial '' payments from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX and continued making on-time mortgage payments to date. Unfortunately after reviewing my credit report in XXXX XXXX , I called the loan servicing comp any ( RountPoint Mortgage ) and they told me that they failed to complete the modification in their system. None of my payments were being applied to my account as reflected on the mortga ge Billing Statement ( attached ) dated XXXX / XXXX / XXXX which reflects a past due amount of {$14000.00}! I signed and returned the executed Loan modification agreeme nt RPM on XXXX XXXX , XXXX and it was not completed until XXXX XXXX . I received the executed copy of the Modification in XXXX XXXX , which was dated XXXX / XXXX / XXXX , which is obviously incorrect . ( See attachment ) They have continued reporting that my payments were 120 days past due to date, and have basically refused to repo rt them as being on time. All payments were paid on-time to the lender XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and Roundpoint whe n they were due since XXXX XXXX , XXXX and the previous past due balance was added to my principal, along with $ XXXX in fees. Initially I was told that by completing the load modification, that all reporting to the credit bureau 's from XXXX / XXXX / XXXX would reflect " paid on-time and in good standing '', as long as I followed thru with making my payments before they were due, which I did. After months of requests and disputes with all parties, including the Credit Bureau 's, they have only corrected 1 month, XXXX XXXX . All payments from XXXX XXXX to present should reflect " on-time '' and be in good standing for that point forward. They have failed to report correct information or rectify the situation from XXXX to present. I have exhausted all options and this is causing financial hardship due to incorrect information being reported on my credit report which has greatly affec ted my credit score . Complaint: This is my third complaint against Roundpoint Mortgage Servicing Corporation for the same issue. Roundpoint continues to act as if they are servicing my mortgage, even though the previous CFPB complaints have resulted in them acknowledging that my mortgage was transferred to XXXX effective XXXX XXXX XXXX meaning that I never owed Roundpoint a single mortgage payment.
Yet, today, I received a thick envelope from Roundpoint i n the mail ( reference XXXX ) claiming that I was behind on mortgage payments and recommending me for forclosure avoidance. In reality, I have been making my monthly payments regularly and on time to XXXX , my true mortgage servicer. It 's clear that Roundpoint 's internal processes are totally broken : I should not be receiving this harassment in the mail from them after three complaints. I highly recommend RoundPoint as a future company for CFPB examination activities, as it 's clear that they are having process failures resulting in illegal harassment of mortgage borro wers.

Complaint: I closed on the sale of my home on XXXX / XXXX /17. Round Point Mortgaging held my mortgage at the time. XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted Round Point for the payoff statement o n XXXX / XXXX /17. The payoff statement stated {$130000.00} was amount of payoff, good through XXXX / XXXX /17. A check was sent by XXXX XXXX to Round Point for {$130000.00} on the day of closing, XXXX / XXXX /17. I cont inued to receive phone calls from Round Point in an attempt to collect payment they were saying was past due, so I stopped answering their calls knowing the pay off check was en route. Then I received foreclosure paper work in the mail from Round Point M ortgage Co. I called and spoke with a woman who told me there was a shortage of {$860.00} from the pay off amount and stated the reason why was because of escrow shortage & fees. She also informed me as of XXXX / XXXX /17 the amount d ue was $ 1300+. This woman also informed me that XXXX other pay off statements had been generated b by Round Point Mortgage Co since the original da ted XXXX / XXXX /17. I was told t he reason for the updated pay off statements was due to Round Point paying the property taxes that had come due on the property. It took me two weeks to actually speak with my " Accoun nt Manager ' ' who then told me it was XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX error, not Round Point 's. After contacting XXXX XXXX XXXX , they of course stated it was an error o n Round Point Mortgage Co 's, not theirs, and stated they never received any " updated '' pay off statements ; only the 1st dated XXXX / XXXX /17. I contacted the Town I live in to find out about the taxes being paid. They received the payment from the buyers of my property and then received Round Point 's check for taxes in amount of {$2000.00}. They have issued a refund to Round Point Mortgage on XXXX / XXXX /17 for {$2000.00}, which to date is not bei ng reported b y Round Point as r eceived. I received a statement from Round Point o n XXXX / XXXX /17 showin g a balance due now of {$2200.00}. I 'm unclear whether the error was on Round Point 's for sending the tax payment or XXXX XXXX for not sending the correct payoff. I 'm under the assumption at this point my next step is t o 1. report this to cfpb and 2. hire a lawyer to take care of this issue.

Complaint: Due to a paperwork mixup, Roundpoint Mortgage thought they owned the servicing rights to my mortgage, but they did not, XXXX did. I am attaching the welcome letter from XXXX , clearly demonstrating that XXXX acquired servicing rights effective XXXX XXXX 2017 . For XXXX months, Roundpoint harassed me asking for payments. Finally, after I filed CFPB Complaint # XXXX , Roundpoint sent me a letter acknowledging that XXXX owned servicing rights and that I would be goodbye 'd by Roundpoint, which I have attached. However, today, XXXX XXXX 2017 , I received a phone call from Roundpoint asking for my " past due '' payment for XXXX . Complaint: We purchased a house in XXXX XXXX . Our mortgage was sold to Roundpoint Mortgage Company as of XXXX XXXX XXXX . We had an escrow account created for payment of our property taxes and home insurance. We paid into our escrow account from the first day of the closing of our new home. We received property tax installment vouchers and notice in XXXX XXXX that our XXXX XXXX property tax was never paid. We were then assessed a tax penalty of {$610.00}. I wrote Roundpoint an email on XXXX XXXX and explained the situation and sent the email. I also called them on that date as well. They said it would be paid by XXXX XXXX XXXX . We checked with the city and it was not paid. We then kept calling from XXXX XXXX XXXX until XXXX XXXX XXXX because our XXXX payment was due on XXXX XXXX XXXX . We were assured each time we called that the penalty would be paid. Then on XXXX XXXX , Rounpoint finally pai d the property tax payment BUT NOT THE tax penalty payment. SO on XXXX XXXX XXXX we were again short {$610.00} AND going to be assessed another {$620.00}. We frantically called Rounpoint on XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and no payment was made. We therefore paid the penalty ourselves so that we would n't be assessed another penalty. The most frustrating thing with this whole ordeal is the lack of customer service we received. We must have called Roundpoint over a dozen times the month of XXXX and each time we had to retell and re-educate them about what the situation was. Roundpoint had no idea what was going on with our escrow account and our property tax payments. I found out all the information from the city and reported it to Roundpoint. We asked if we can speak with the tax department and they said we could n ot because they were not consumer facing. The customer reps did n't know anything and each time we called we had to re-tell the entire saga and wait for them to read through all of the notes in our account only to be told that " yes '' we will pay the penalty because it is our fault. But it was NEVER paid. There was no one that took responsibility for what was happening an no one could they tell us when payment would be made. We asked if we can get the customer service person phone number and they said they did n't h ave one to giv e out. Then I was able to elevate the issue on XXXX XXXX XXXX and was able to speak to a supervisor who gave me her number EXCEPT every time I called and left a message, she did n't call me back either. No one could tell us the status of our issue. All we wanted to know was if the {$610.00} tax penalty was going to be paid by Roundpoint an d it turned out that it was n't AND that we were about to be assessed a second penalty. On XXXX XXXX XXXX , we finally received a letter from XXXX XXXX , Assistant VP. The letter stated that " Per the enclosed notification of servicing transfer, your loan was service transferred to Roundpoint effective XXXX . At the time of the transfer, we were not provided with the legal description of your property. Therefore, we were unaware the property taxes for your account were due in XXXX XXXX . '' They did not address the outstanding tax penalty of {$610.00} but basically ended it with that it was n't their fault but the fault of the company that sold them the mortgage. How is it possible that a mortgage to a real property that was transferred 3 months prior to when property taxes were due did n't include enough information for this company to find out when the property taxes were due? Our mortgage was transferred with a significant amount int the escrow account for payment of property taxes and it ultimately was n't paid by Roundpoint w ho are legally responsible for that payment as the providers of escrow account payment services. They missed the payment and are now refusing to be accountable for their mistake. Not only did this company not pay our property taxes BUT they also did not pay our home insurance for XXXX . Our insurance agent called us in XXXX XXXX as well to notify us that they have n't received a payment, which we also paid ourselves. I am writing to get the tax payment penalty credited to our escrow account because it was NOT our responsibility to notify the this company about our property taxes that were due. It is their responsibility as an escrow services provider to ask for that information when they purchase a mortgage THAT HAD AN ESCROW ACCOUNT . One woul d assume if there is an escrow account that was transferred with a mortgage that maybe there should be payments made from it? We have also tried to close our escrow account, but was told that we could not do so because we have to wait a year from the date we first became their customer and that our mortgage must allow for the waiver and that a committee has to review this request. Well, has n't been a year and its been a disaster. We are now being hel d hostage t o this company for services that they have n't performed AND which we have paid ourselves out of pocket. Please help us in this matter. We have tried everything. As of last week, when I received the letter, I was finally contacted by a Customer Service rep that stated that she has been assigned to our issue. She was again not aware of what the issue was and I had to tell her the entire story again and that we paid the outstanding amount OR ELSE another tax penalty would have been assessed. We had told the general customer service line this information on XXXX but yet again, had to re-state it. She wanted proof that we made the payment and I sent it via on XXXX XXXX XXXX . I have not received a response and have not checked back since we also received the letter stating that they are not responsible for missing our property tax payment on an account they had for OVER 3 months prior to when the property tax was due. We 'd greatly appreciate anything you can help us with in this matter.
