Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: I had been a XXXX XXXX customer since XX/XX/XXXXand in XX/XX/XXXX, I moved. I decided to suspend my cable service until I found a permanent home. XXXX explained I could do that for up to 3 months. I was very clear and specific about the fact that I wanted to pay up to the last date of service because I didn't want to have any fees due as I know how cable companies are prone to refer unpaid, outstanding bills to collections. Well, after a month, I called to inform XXXX that I wasn't going to reinstate service with them. Somehow, it turns out, I had a bill. I repeatedly asked them to send me the bill so that I could review the charges. I never received the bill and they continued to pursue collection for the bill. In XX/XX/XXXX, they referred my account to Receivables Performance Mgt. When I received their first collection letter, I requested a copy of the last bill and they didn't provide it. At this point, they have now posted the collection on my credit report. I find that both XXXX and Receivables Performance Mgt. have acted improperly in their collections process. I have a right to verify the charges and to review the last bill of service. I would like to have this corrected and removed from my credit report.

Complaint: We moved into a new house back inXX/XX/2017 and decided to use XXXX as our cable provider. Little did we know we could not obtain a clear signal where we live. XXXX knowing that we had low signal which caused issues throughout allowed us to sign a 2 year contract with them. They did not tell us that we had low signal. As the guy finished up connecting everything there was no signal. He informed us that we would need to give it 30-45 minutes before everything synced up and would work appropriately. This obviously did not happen. we called XXXX customer service and notified them of our problem they said it would be a week and a half before anybody could come out. This royally upset us. So we waited and they came out and tried to trouble shoot it and said there was a problem with service box they would need to send higher tech out here to diagnose and fix problem. so we waited for that. We finally had a picture almost 3 weeks later. All was great for about 1 week then the signal loss started happening. We again called them and they sent somebody out a week later to try and diagnose the problem they said everything looked good. So finally we went on continuing for about 2 and half weeks later with our signal dropping randomly. We were disappointed at this time with XXXX Finally after further troubleshooting they found out that the spot our sat in is like a whole how they described it for bad signal. So we told them ok, How are we going to make this right? Their reply " you can continue services since you get signal most of the time, or you can pay the cancellation fee of {$350.00}. '' We were shocked hearing this. We fought with them talking with supervisor after supervisor about what has happened. We informed them that we do not believe we should have to pay a cancellation fee. They said because their were some data usages we would have to. End result- we cancelled services immediately This was about 5 months into signing the contract. After discussing with XXXX they said they would review our account and signal loss and let us know if any fees would be owed. From then on I never received an itemized bill from XXXX. Later on discovering they were sending them to my fathers address 6 hours away due to us having the same name. Causing them to call and ask questions on what's going on. This is how we found out they were sending them to him. We then received a letter from XXXX notifying us that our account has been sent to collections and that we owe the following {$950.00}

Debt was paid
Complaint: on XX/XX/2018 I was notified that a negative collection account was placed on my credit account by a RPM Receivables Performance Management for {$77.00}, original client XXXX.
I am in the process of closing on a house so this my prevent me from being able to complete the transaction. I contacted XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX who comfirmed that I owed no money to them. I took the chat transcript and sent to RPM, letting them know this debt was not valid and that any further reporting would be with the knowledge it was false. They ignored me and reported me to further agencies.
They now admit this was in error and was paid, but have yet to remove negative marks from my report.

You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: Received a call on my cell phone today at XXXX am looking for my husband. We have not received any notification of this debt from the collection agency or my rights to dispute the debt. They demanded payment within the first 30 days I would assume since I have received nothing from them. I told them I disputed it and the collector states " ok so you are disputing the debt? '' I answered yes. He said " okay '' and hung up. Since that call I have received 3 more calls as of XXXX about the debt. I asked them to cease and desist from calling my number. They put me on hold, transferred me to someone else. I asked the new person to not call my cell phone again, she asked if I knew XXXX. I said yes and to not contact me again. I explained to her that she had already violated FDCPA and she spoke over me I have no idea what she said she talked so fast and hung up on me.
I will be hiring an attorney for FDCPA violation for not sending me notice of my rights to dispute and demanding money in the first 30 days of them receiving the file. I will also have attorney file TCPA violation for calling my cell phone repeatly and not ceasing and desisting as I instructed when the cell phone they called is mine and mine alone and is in my name alone.

Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: Repeated calls to both me and husband. Silence each time we answered. Attempted to call back. Asked for personal information without clarifying the company or reason for contacting me. Man, XXXX XXXX was very rude and blamed me for not understanding him. I had to XXXX the company to find out it was a debt collector. We have received nothing in writing from this company. I have blocked the number as they have called three times in one day. 3 calls to me, and 2 to my husband.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I received a collection letter from Receivables Performance Management LLC dated XX/XX/XXXX stating I owe XXXX XXXX XXXX {$2000.00} for account XXXX. There is {$0.00} in the field for collection fees. I recently found the paperwork from XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX stating the amount due is {$1700.00} for account XXXX. When I contacted the company earlier today and asked about the difference in the amount owed the agent from RPM just kept reinstating the settlement offer. I wonder how can the settlement offer be fair if the principal amount owed is incorrect. I am reporting this because I am not sure if this is just a clerical error or if the company is trying to collect more than what is owed to XXXX XXXX XXXX for Receivable Performance Management LLC profit. I don't this company taking advantage of people.
