Threatened to arrest you or take you to jail if you do not pay
Complaint: After my last communication with radius / XXXX, or whatever name they are using at this time, they called the XXXX police and said I had threatened them through CFPB and that is not true. I said their tactics might kill me, and that may be true if they take my XXXX income and pension income, as I could not support myself without it. What are they trying to prove? I know they are massively powerful already. I suppose I am lucky that I was not arrested. What comes next? How will they threaten me next? I am terrified now. This debt was from my late husband, who took other credit card debt, of his, and dumped it on this card without my knowledge or consent. He ran up debt on my XXXX card buying expensive clothes, and then dumped that debt on this card, I told this to XXXX in numerous letters to them and their collectors over a 3 year period. He killed himself in XX/XX/2015, and his problems are over. What more do they want? He stole my life savings of over 300K. I do not think it is appropriate to call the police to my door because I owe them money.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I am an IDENTITY THEFT victim. A family member, who is now deceased, used this credit card to pay off debt on other credit cards. He committed suicide in XX/XX/XXXX. I have sent detailed documentation to XXXX and their first collection agency, XXXX. XXXX ceased collection efforts, and now, even though I sent XXXX detailed documentation, including my report to the FTC, XXXX has hired another collection agency. This group says they have contacted me three or four times about this debt, beginning inXX/XX/XXXX, but I HAVE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM BEFORE THEIR LETTER OF XX/XX/XXXX. Why would they make such a bizarre claim? I do not know to what address they sent letters, but I did not get any from this group ; EVER until XX/XX/XXXX. I am XXXX, and my only income is SSD and a pension. I made a settlement offer to XXXX, which they ignored, and continue to come after me. I have had several XXXX XXXX XXXX, and XXXX relapses due to this harassment. I feel that I have no way out

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I have reported this company calling my number to collect a debt not mine on separate occasions. I reported them on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, andXX/XX/XXXX. I have no knowledge of the debt they are attempting to collect. Since I refuse to provide them with my personal information, they refuse rudely to give any information about the purpose of the call. I would like to believe that something legally can be done to stop them from calling my number repeatedly in a harassing manner.
I would be willing to pursue any legal means that may be provided by your organization.

Can't get other flexible options for repaying your loan
Complaint: I entered into a Student Loan Rehab agreement on XX/XX/XXXX. Without my knowledge, XXXX XXXX XXXX sent my file out for wage garnishment. I was informed by XXXX that I had to make 5 monthly payments to have the garnishment stopped. I made 5 monthly payments, the most recent on XX/XX/XXXX. I also called and spoke to supervisors and representatives about when the garnishment would stop per the contract. I was informed that would obtain approval in 7-10 days from XXXX the servicer. I called two times on XX/XX/XXXX and an additional 4 times since XX/XX/XXXX. I was told by XXXX I had made the 5 payments and met all their criteria but they could not and would not stop the garnishment. I informed them this was causing a severe financial crisis but they still refused to take any further action.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: To : Consumer Financial Protection Bureau I am writing to bring to your attention an issue that I am having with a Debt collection company under the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX sent me a letter where advised that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX asked them to collect from me the amount of {$160.00} because according XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX records after I returned my XX/XX/XXXX leased vehicle by ending XX/XX/XXXX I got an outstanding balance. I first never received notification of a charge against me and this collection letter doesn't explain the reason why I owe them money. I immediately took steps to see what was going on and I decided to call XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and clarify this issue they couldn't explain me the reason why I am getting this charge about it and beside that they were rude over the phone and refusing to talk to me and telling me that I have not longer account with them and I had to be direct to the collection company this happened twice in two different time that I tried to resolve this issue with XXXX XXXX, and they kept re-directing me to the collection company. After feel so frustrated I decided to call the dealer XXXX XXXX where I returned my XX/XX/XXXX leased and spoke with same sale person who took my leased back and sold me a new XXXX leased and he checked my records and he said XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is charging me because I didn't return the 2nd Key from my XX/XX/XXXX Leased and I called again to XXXX XXXX XXXX and advised them that I still have the XX/XX/XXXX Leased key with me that I can return it and also I asked them how you can charge for something that I wasn't aware that I will get charge if I don't return also there is not where saying that I have a time frame to return the key and get charge for if it doesn't get returned. I am very concern at this time because they sound not be reasonable and careless if they make a negative mark on their customer credit records for something can be resolve in the right way. Once again I never get any disclosure that I had to returned the 2nd key in a time frame if not I will be charge for. This is incorrect and not acceptable. I really appreciate if someone can assist me in this matter. Thanks!

Complaint: I am in the process of purchasing a home. I had my credit pulled and was surprised to see a collection from XXXX XXXX XXXX which dropped my score. I have received no phone calls or contact via US Mail to confirm this collection is mine. Due to this I did not & have not obtained the full statutory period in which to dispute the validity of this debt in question as I did not receive an initial notification regarding the debt. I would like this collection removed from my credit due to erroneous collection practices.

Changes in terms mid-deal or after closing
Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted Texas XXXX of XXXX by email, inquiring about a XXXX XXXX XXXX and later received an email response from XXXX XXXX, Internet Manager that informed me that they had just the vehicle that I inquired about on their lot and gave me the discounted price for a XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX from the sticker price of {$37000.00}. XXXX XXXX also send to me " spec sheet '' for this vehicle as well. ( Document attached ) ... Being that this was exactly what I was looking for, I later contacted XXXX XXXX to let him know that I would be stopping by the dealership within the next couple of days. Several days later, I visited the dealership to meet with XXXX XXXX with my daughter and was informed that he was not in due to that being his day off ... Needless to say, that is when everything went so far left that nothing was done per XXXX 's and my discussion. I was assigned another person, XXXX XXXX and I told him in great detail why I stopped by the dealership and wanted to see the vehicle that XXXX and I had picked out. Per XXXX XXXX, that vehicle was not available and that particular vehicle would be much more costly than previously discussed with XXXX. Again, I should have exited the dealership at that time because either the " spec sheet '' that XXXX had sent me was wrong or the salesperson wanted to be " deceitful '' and sell me the vehicle that would benefit him most in his " commission/bonus '' being that it was near the XXXX holidays. I don't know, but, I feel that this whole transaction was done out of deceit and fraudulent. ( I am attaching the letter that I sent to the General Manager of the dealership that gives a full scope of what transpired ). For time purposes, I didn't want to be redundant in my complaint, so, I chose to attach a copy of the actual letter sent.
During the time I sent the letter to the General Manager, I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX offices several times and filed complaints with them voicing my dissatisfaction with the deceit transaction I received. During my conversation with the Representative with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I informed them that since the dealership did not follow through with paying off my lease with XXXX XXXX as was agreed upon during this transaction, and they were not giving me the vehicle that I went in to purchase, the XXXX XXXX I could not afford to pay 2 car notes, my XXXX XXXX payment of {$720.00} and another car note in the amount of {$670.00} for the XXXX XXXX that I never desired to purchase in the first place. I informed the Representative at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that if this contract is not corrected immediately, I would submit a Voluntary Surrender of the XXXX XXXX, by the way, ended up costing a considerable amount more than the vehicle I went in to purchase. I am a single woman, XXXX years old and does not have a need to have 2 vehicles ... While speaking with the Representative, I had her to fill out the request to Voluntary Surrender the XXXX XXXX due to the fact that I truly did not trust that the dealership would be honest and do what they say they would do. The Representative assured me that I would be contacted by the vendor that they chose to pick up the vehicle so that I would be able to give them the keys. Based on the fact that I chose not to drive the vehicle after completing the Voluntary Surrender request and it was parked in front of my garage, the vendor picked up the vehicle the same day that they left a message on my phone while I was at work. I did not have the opportunity to give them the keys. After speaking with the Sales Manager, we had agreed that I would take the vehicle to the dealership the following day to see what could be worked out ... Well, I never had that opportunity because when I got home from work the same day that I spoke with the Sales Manager, the vehicle has been picked up. I contacted the vendor who had the car and had to drive in traffic over an hour one way to take the keys to the vehicle and get my personal items out of the car such as my insurance documents and license plate that was just put on the vehicle about 2 days prior. This has been the worst transaction I have ever done in my 60+ years. I feel that I was taken totally advantage of due to being a senior citizen and those sales guys told me a bunch of " lies and " promises '' that they knew they were not going to fulfill ... Such as, telling me that the vehicle I wanted the XXXX XXXX cost to much and they didn't have the one I wanted in stock and once they, ( Texas XXXX ) paid off the remainder of my lease with XXXX XXXX and my credit report updated to reflect that I no longer had that payment of {$720.00} a month, and to drive the XXXX XXXX for about 3-4 months, then they, ( Texas XXXX ) would switch me out of the XXXX XXXX and into the XXXX XXXX. Well, clearly, this was a " LIE ''. It was their intent to keep me in the XXXX XXXX and to close out the deal. I would never pay {$670.00} a month for a vehicle that I NEVER, EVER dreamed of purchasing.
Lastly, the biggest scam that happened with this vehicle is that it was picked up on or before XX/XX/XXXX and I received a letter dated from XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX apprising me of the 'NOTICE OF OUR PLAN TO SELL PROPERTY ''. In this letter it states that the vehicle will be sold at a private sale sometime after XX/XX/XXXX. I never heard anything more from XXXX XXXX XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX notifying me of the balance owing of {$11000.00}. Understand, this is a vehicle that upon relinquishing back to them had less than 2000 miles and on this " EXPLANATION OF CALCULATION OF SURPLUS OR DEFICIENCY '' shows the Gross Obligation of {$35000.00} and they sold this vehicle for {$19000.00}, " what a ripoff ... On top of this deceitful transaction, XXXX XXXX XXXX had the audacity to send this outstanding debt to a collection agency, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ...
I am taking the time to file this complaint because I don't feel that companies/dealerships should have the right to conduct such dishonest transactions without having to pay a price for their deceitful practices ... I know that I have used the word " deceit '' numerous times in my complaint, but, unfortunately, I can't think of a better term to use at this time. When I walked into this dealership, I had excellent credit, no derogatory items at all, so, I have decided to share my 'NEGATIVE ' experiences with anybody I come in contact with regarding this dealership.
In closing, I am requesting that this charge be deleted and cleared from my credit reports and files.
