Complaint: I have sent up to 3 dispute letters to Portfolio Recovery Associates and they have refused to provide me a copy of ANY original documentation ( a consumer contract with my signature on it ) as required under Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ) & Section 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ). Furthermore, they have failed to provide the method of verification as required under Section 611 ( a ) ( 7 ). Please be advised that under Section 611 ( 5 ) ( A ) of the FCRA you are required to promptly DELETE all information which can not be verified. They continue to send me old billing statements which is not proper verification of the account. They continue to report this unverified account n my credit company and continue to call and harass me.

Complaint: Portfolio Recovery is trying to report same collection twice. I already paid a collection and the account was closed. Then as soon as that was paid a new collection account appeared in their portal for the same amount that I already paid. They are using illegal and deceptive tactics to try to collect on the same debt multiple times and are reporting a debt that should be removed from my credit as still owed. When I paid the collections account for XXXX on XX/XX/19 there were only 2 accounts ( the XXXX I paid and a XXXX that is not mine and 7 years and 3 months old ). Then mysteriously less then 2 weeks later there are 3, the one I paid, the old one and a new one for a duplicate amount. If that debt really existed and really was sent the day they claimed it was it would have existed in the debt collectors portal the first time I went to pay the 1 amount for XXXX that was listed on my credit.

Complaint: Portfolio Recovery is reporting a dated {$550.00} delinquent account on my XXXX credit report. I have requested 4 disputes through XXXX ( dates ranging from XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX ), in which Portfolio Recovery provides no paperwork or proof but simply tells XXXX its valid and closes the inquiry. As a last result I mailed a dispute and request for proof directly to Portfolio Recovery at the end of XX/XX/XXXX. I have not received a response at all and the account is still on my credit report. Can you please hold Portfolio Recovery accountable to provide proof to keep this on my credit report or have them remove it?

Complaint: Portfolio Recovery called me in XXXX around XXXX. They told me about a debt they bought and I paid it. Then they told me about a second debt they had. I told them I would pay it later 2-4 wks? But I got a job offer that required me to move and I needed the money I was going to pay the debt with. They called me once a month then once a week before I had the money again to pay them. I got angry and changed my cell phone number. However I applied for credit again and shortly thereafter XXXX started calling me again, sometimes 2-3 times a week. I had received an email from them asking my permission to contact me that way and I agreed. After numerous calls, I emailed them rescinding my permission for all contact. When they kept calling me, I sent a letter. I answered a few of their calls and asked them to stop calling my personal cellphone. After they say they're collecting a debt they say they can not take me to court and it feels intimidating. If they can't take me to court bc of the age of the debt and I've asked them to stop calling me WHY ARE THEY STILL CALLING??? I DO NOT RESPOND TO HARRASSMENT AND INTIMIDATION.

Complaint: 1. Portfolio Recovery Services ; re : XXXX XXXX XXXX calls me on average 3-5 times daily 7 days a week beginning at about XXXX XXXX up until about XXXX XXXX at night. I've been able to use a call blocker on my cell phone to minimize those calls. 2. Today XX/XX/2019 @ XXXX XXXX after trying to reach me, they called my wife on her cell phone. They asked for me, and told her they were a debt collector, though they did not say for whom, nor did they identify who they were. I have requested verbally to them that they stop calling me. They still call, except now they are calling my wife as well. I owe XXXX XXXX some amount of money, though we disagree on the exact amount. I don't deny that. But when I had the card I was running a viable, profitable business. That business died on the vine, and my wife and me are left with only {$1600.00} per month social security to live on. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX, and not a lot of companies are interested in hiring me to go to work, so, I frankly do not have the extra money to pay this debt right now. But at some point I will, and when I do, I will pay them.
