Complaint: Hi, Ive submitted a request for debit validation 30 days ago. Today is the first post date and no information has been provided. Ive contacted both XXXX and XXXX. No letters of validation have been emailed or sent to my home. This is unacceptable! Both companies have given me a harsh time and are not presenting information I requested, so therefore this items needs to be deleted off my credit report! If they can not foster the agreed upon terms they will need to follow protocol and fix this situation. Ive been yelled at by 3 different agents. Complaint: They have been calling for several years. This is supposedly for a debt that is owed by a son who has not lived with us for over 20 years and has not used this phone number than longer than this amount of time. This company calls using their name and hangs up when the answering machine answers. There are repeated other phone calls that call first and hang up with the answering machine answering, then followed by another call from this company. I have stopped answering any of their calls, More than two years of telling them that he doesn't live here, is not at this number and their lies about his being sued etc and having been contacted by them. If he owed a debt his phone number has been a matter of public record for the entire 20 plus years that he hasn't lived with us and before. These phon743e calls start in the early morning and continue throughout the day and evening. They are truly a harassment. The company name is Portfolio Recovery and one of their many calls comes from XXXX XXXX XXXX

IS very AGGRESSIVELY ATTEMPTING TO COLLECT ON THE DEBT THAT IS 9 YEARS OLD.. I contacted capital one bank the original creditor on this account who stated 1099c was issued 5 years ago, and confirmed that first date of default/last date of activity on this account was back in XXXX thus this account is too old to report on my credit and has passed a statutory allowed amount of 7 years. I supplied this info to porfolio on numerous occasions who ignored and still refuses to remove this erroneous collection. Every time we call they just collect and update information on me and now they called my work and parents house, AND changed the " on record until '' date on XXXX report from XXXX year to XXXX how is it even legal ... why can't we stop them from harassment and violation of federal laws on collection FDCPA???

Complaint: Contacted the XXXX police department on XX/XX/2010. Spoke with former detective on the case of identity and fraud on Police report - # XXXX. I was notified PRA has never contacted them to retrieve police report in regards to the fraud on account ending XXXX. Yet PRA, continues to report this fraudulent debt anyways on my credit reports willfully and with negligence. It their responsibility to retrieve the police report directly from the XXXX police department. They are reporting this debt any ways to the credit reporting agencies. I have filed numerous complaints for them to cease reporting all debts in my name and obtain the police reports and yet they continue to violate the FCRA anyways freely. So I continue to report these violations to the CFPB.

Complaint: I opened a credit card account with XXXX XXXX and they sold it to another company by the name of Portfolio Recover Associates, LLC. Portfolio Recover Associates never contacted me and never sent me a certified letter saying that they were going to take me to court. They went to court, where I was not notified again, and sent out a judgement against me to garnish 25 % of my check each pay period for the amount of XXXX. On XX/XX/, 2019 I tried to resolve it with XXXX XXXX and Portfolio Recover Associates and was told, by XXXX XXXX of Portfolio Associates, that my only two options were that I had to either pay it all in full or they were still going to garnish my checks. Complaint: About 2 months ago, I received a phone call from Portfolio Recovery Associates. The claimed that I owed XXXX XXXX about {$500.00} and they were attempting to collect the debt. The person on the phone then said that they couldn't do much since too much time had passed. She then said that if they restarted collections, this would " reset '' the debt and that XXXX XXXX could attempt to collect on it again. I said that I doubted that I owed XXXX XXXX any money and hung up. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX withdrew {$5.00} from my checking account without either my wife or my permission. Two days later I received a letter thanking me for setting up a repayment plan with them for the XXXX XXXX card, paying back a debt of about {$500.00}, {$5.00} at a time. I did NOT authorize this plan. I did not grant Portfolio Recovery Associates to draw off of our joint checking account. I did have an arrangement with them for another debt, which I paid off. I believe the accessed my account information from there.
