Complaint: I currently have a debt to Springleaf Financial. This issue has persisted for approx a year. This company will call me constantly, multiple times a day, on different telephone numbers, sometimes leave messages and sometimes not. They have called me at work when I have asked them not too. When they dont reach me they call my " reference '' list of individuals that they required i leave with them. These individuals include my children, family, friends, none of which have any responsibility towards this debt. I have asked for this to stop on many occasions and it persists. I realize this is my debt and I am making attempts to get it paid, but this is harassment of myself and others. I do n't know what else to do and found this information on the internet. Thank you.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, My wife and I took out a 2nd mortgage loan with XXXX Bank. After a few years, the loan was transferred to American General Finance, which was purchased by Springleaf Financial Services. Springleaf is where my problem started. I XXXX was delinquent with my 2nd mortgage. Springleaf 's local office transferred my loan to the main office in XXXX, Indiana, but only AFTER they paid off my first mortgage, which was with XXXX Mortgage, without any communication with me at all. I only found out when I received an amended declaration from my homeowners insurance company dated effective XX/XX/XXXX. I do n't think the way this was done, by " stealth '', was legal, so consider this part one of my complaint. Then, I applied for modification of my loan with Springleaf three times, and was turned down each time, until I spoke with the man who was in charge of modifications, and told him that since my modification was declined, that I intended to explore legal action about the way my first mortgage was paid off. Magically, I received a call from the same man the next day informing me that aftyer reconsideration, my modification was approved. My modification was done XX/XX/XXXX. When it was done, I received NOTHING regarding the funds used to pay off XXXX Mortgage ... no Settlement Statement ... nothing at all. In fact, I have NEVER received ANYTHING regarding this payoff. My contention is that since funds were advanced to reimburse Springleaf for the payoff of XXXX Mortgage, the modification was actually a cash out refinance loan, and I received no RESPA documents ( settlement statement, etc ) and should have been given a 3 day right of recision, which I was not. My loan was transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX, against whom I have already filed a complaint with you XXXX XXXX # XXXX XXXX, and XXXX is denying any culpability, since they are the servicer and did not actually do the loan. I sent XXXX notice that I wanted to rescind the loan well before the 3 year time limit, and their first response was that the loan was from XX/XX/XXXX and therefore not eligible to rescind, even though the modification was done XX/XX/XXXX At any rate, the 2nd part of my complaint is the lack of RESPA and right of recision from Springleaf.

Complaint: I paid all of my credit cards off in XXXX. I missed the change on my loan with Springleaf and paid {$860.00} of the {$860.00} balance. In XXXX, I received a bill for {$14.00} which I assumed was residual interest and paid that in full immediately. I 've now received a XXXX statement for {$0.00} to which they only replied they " believe '' that will close out my balance. I believe I have been charged interest on the interest balance. I did n't experience 2 months of residual payments with any other credit cards I paid off on the same day. If somehow correct ( which I ca n't imagine having to pay {$0.00} on a {$0.00} balance ), they are a ) using a financial calculation unique to them and b ) not clear in their disclosure of this practice. The agent with whom I spoke offered to write the {$0.00} balance off as " settled for less than owed '' which I refused of course. Thank you

Complaint: Springleaf XXXX local office has taken out Hard Inquiries that were not authorized by me, amazingly 2 months apart - XXXX 2014 and XXXX 2014 - which is very stupid. I have not received any correspondence on these Inquiries concerning rejection. For my XXXX payment, of {$300.00}, they have only credited me with a payment of {$300.00}, with no visible reasons on the Springleaf website or correspondence of receipt. Complaint: I have made my payments online through my XXXX Bank bill pay. Your company has received these checks, cashed/deposited them. Yet your staff continues to call, stating I have not made my payments. They are rude, unprofessional and raise their voices to me. I have the cancelled checks through my bank showing you have cashed/deposited them. Then you charge me " late '' fees when I am not late. This is against the law. I have filed complaints today through XXXX agencies about unfair practices, charging late fees and harassment from your staff. I have proof of these payment via cancelled checks. This site does n't allow me to attach the checks. I can attach these checks showing they were paid/deposited by Springleaf before their due dates. Since Springleaf has taken over my loan this is the XXXX or XXXX occurrence illegally charging me late fees and falsely accusing me of not making payments after you have cashed my checks.
