Complaint: I have attempted to resolve this matter with this company several times. My car was hit in front of my house and it was a total loss. The car was paid off by the other party who hit my car and I also had insurance on the loan so when everything was finalized the loan should have been paid off in full and I was told that it was. I continued to receive a demand for payment and I do not owe this company. I have asked for a full accounting of the loan and how the loan was processed after the accident and they have failed to provide that to me but they want me to pay them something I do not owe

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX 2017 I arrived at Onemain Financial Branch located in XXXX California. I proceeded to apply for a loan and was informed I was approved for XXXX by associate XXXX and her District Manager XXXX. I was unable to stay later to complete application due to having to go to work and was informed I could go to another branch closer to me to complete application if needed. I went to XXXX XXXX California branch on XX/XX/XXXX and was informed I could not be approved. They did not ask for my most current paystub or any documentation and added inaccurate information to my application so it then showed I was not approved because my debt to income ratio was not accurate. I was extremely confused and upset because I had expected I would be getting funded. Although the original underwriter, the district manager approved my loan initially I was informed it could not be funded due to the information received by the XXXX XXXX location which was not accurate. They added payments to my application that were n't actually payments. If you approve someone initially as a company I believe you should honor that. I do n't understand the inconsistent underwriting and I think that needs to be dealt with company wide. As a previous customer who made her first payment on time and paid off loan I am also extremely disappointed in their practices.

Complaint: I obtained this loan on XX/XX/XXXX, 2017 to consolidate some of my other bills. I went into the office of OneMain Financial located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX. XXXX assisted me with the paperwork. I thought this was a good thing at the time to really help me with my financial needs. It was n't until about 3 weeks later when I learned of the {$950.00} fee just for doing the loan. I had talked with my XXXX XXXX insurance agent and was offered a loan with a much lower interest rate. This is when I discovered the outrageous fee on top of the 16 % interest rate. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and I was NOT told of this FEE at the time I applied for the loan. Since trying to get the pay off info from OneMain, it has been a nightmare. I truly feel they took advantage of me by not clearly explaining & pointing out the {$950.00} fee BEFORE I took out the loan. Nearly a {$1000.00} FEE is certainly NOT how you help a senior on a fixed income. Then they took my 1st loan payment from my bank account on the XX/XX/XXXX when my 1st loan payment was set for the XX/XX/XXXX, per the contract. I was given the run-around when I asked for the pmt to be reversed on X/X/17. They said to get a bank statement showing the pmt of {$460.00} cleared and bring it to the office and they would cut me a check for that amount right then. When I got there with the proof from my bank they refused to give me the check and told me it would be processed and mailed in about 1 week. I need this money now. By the way, my loan amount w/ OneMain was {$18000.00} on X/X/17 and the pay-off amount effective X/XX/17 is {$20000.00} through X/XX/17. I am going with the XXXX XXXX XXXX loan to pay off OneMain.This place is SHADY in my opinion and preys on people like me, a senior citizen. They need to be investigated.

Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, 2016 I submitted my last payment to One Main Financial in the city of XXXX in person to XXXX and my account was never credited nor did I receive my title. I was never notified of a foul play or robbery by XXXX. I visited my main location located at One Main Financial ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX and the manager stated that she would personally mail my title to me after she sent the requested documents to her corporation by fax. I never heard from her after numerous follow ups in XXXX and XXXX. I resent the documents in XXXX. I was told that the check I gave to XXXX representative XXXX was cashed by someone else. I never received a notice that there was foul play or a robbery by the management or carrier. Consumers have to know so that they can protect their assets. XXXX has yet to notify me. The only documents I received was past due letters and collection notices. The effort was placed on me as the consumer to prove that I presented a check to their company A full investigation should be done immediately for the consumers.

According, to the FCRA this information have to be provided with physical documentation. Also, this information have to be verified with the courts and the courts have to verify it. Third party sources such as XXXX does n't count as verification. I ask if could be removed Upon viewing my credit report I found many inaccuracies and they refuse to remove it from credit report that 's violating FCRA I 'm in the market to purchase a home and need these removed

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent correspondence to One Main Financial ( aka Springleaf ) via certified mail which they received on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX. In my correspondence I requested verification of a debt in which they claim was charged off in my name in the amount of {$7000.00}. I have not received original documentation verifying this debt. Additionally, upon further investigation, I retained copies of my credit report and as of XX/XX/XXXX One Main Financial ( aka Springleaf ) had not updated my dispute on my credit report within the time required by federal law under section FCRA, section 623 ( a ) ( 3 ) and therefore have violated my rights. A second letter was sent certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX and received on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX by One Main Financial ( aka Springleaf ) addressing my concerns with the validity of said debt and inaccuracies being reported. I received a response on XX/XX/XXXX ( 70 days after my initial letter and 36 days after my second letter ) that it would take an additional 30 to update the information. In this same letter, they also failed to provide me with the original documents I had requested to verify the debt in my original letter dated back in XX/XX/XXXX. The last and third certified letter I sent was on XX/XX/XXXX and was received by One Main Financial ( aka Springleaf ) on XX/XX/XXXX @ XXXX. I requested the same information as the second letter and requested the inaccuracy on my report be deleted due to non compliance of FCRA, section 623 ( a ) ( 3 ). It is now XX/XX/XXXX and to date I 've no resolution, my rights have been violated under the FCRA, section 623 ( a ) ( 3 ), and One Main Financial ( aka Springleaf ) continues to report inaccurate information to all XXXX and XXXX. <P/><P/>In addition to the complaint above, personal and sensitive information was shared with someone else claiming to be me on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX eastern time. I was told by the Executive Office of Customer Care they were of no fault of this even though there respresentative, XXXX XXXX was employed and calling on their behalf.

One Main and XXXX have been and are reporting hard inquiries without verifiable proofs of my consents. One Main and XXXX have been and are reporting those hard inquiries as inaccurate information without verifiable proofs. As a result, there are no permissible purposes of putting those hard inquiries on my credit report. I sent certified mails to both XXXX and One Main asking about the permissible purposes of those hard inquiries and verifiable proofs of the inaccurate information. I waited more than 30 days to have the verifiable proofs from XXXX and One Main of their inaccurate information and I didnt receive them from all of them.
