Complaint: I have a loan with one main financial XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX oh XXXX my monthly payment is XXXX due on the XXXX of each month. they tried to take my XX/XX/XXXX payment out early and put me in insuffient funds. my credit union XXXX XXXX charged me XXXX XXXX XXXX. when I called branch manager at one main XXXX XXXX she apologized and told me she would return my XXXX. I went ahead and made a payment on line for XXXX $ on XX/XX/XXXX and then they went into my account again and took out XXXX.they double dipped.i have had problems before and they assured me everything was fine.XXXX even told me they would not debit my account twice but they did. these people can not be trusted.i will never do business with them again

Complaint: Hi, for the past 4 months I've been going back and forth the credit reporting agencies regarding these accounts in question and the reason for this is because I know that these accounts are being reported incorrectly. Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 609 ) it is my right to challenge any account in my credit if I believe they are being reported inaccurate, unverifiable or incomplete. I believe they are and some of them have been corrected on some of the bureaus and some have not. I would like to make this complaint to show the level of urgency I have towards this matter. If you can please help I would really appreciate it. These accounts have to be deleted since they are holding my credit scores back and I'm looking to use my credit soon to make a major purchase. Was approved for a loan, but didn't receive money

Complaint: On Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX i applied online to One Main financial for a personal loan and was approved for an unsecured loan for the amount of {$17000.00} providing, according to the approval message received on the site, i would furnish proof of identity and could verify my income.I then was directed to go into my nearest One Main Financial office to furnish said proof. I was again told that if i provided the required info my loan was approved. I had my XXXX tax return and 1099s from XXXX. I was informed that they needed my XXXX tax returns as well. I then asked for an explanation of why they needed my tax returns as i had just financed 2 brand new vehicles with only my 1099 and a statement from the folks who issued my 1099. I asked to see the policy or have it explained that states this request and my request was refused. I then asked, " so the only way i can get this loan is to show my XXXX tax return? ". The branch manager XXXX said yes. I then informed her i didn't have it completed and would need time to prepare it. I then informed her that since she would not provide me with the policy they have concerning my tax info that i was contacting the executive office to get clarification.Executive office explained in detail and informed me to go back to the One Main branch i applied at to finish up my loan. On Thursday XX/XX/XXXX i went back in with my completed tax forms and was then told my application was deleted and now i needed to reapply. They then ran my application again and i was denied because of too many inquiries. Costing me not only the loan i was already approved for but hurting my credit unnecessarily. When i asked why they did this to me and deleted my initial approved app, XXXX stated that, i assumed you didn't want the loan anymore even though i never stated that and was actually only looking for clarification and for my completed tax return which i had my accountant working on in that week.

Complaint: I have a personal loan account with OneMain Financial Co. I had an automatic draft on my bank account for {$220.00}. due on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called the branch manager to move the date to XX/XX/XXXX, since I receive XXXX on the XX/XX/XXXX Wednesday of month. The branch manager billed me that day XX/XX/XXXX, which over drafted my account and caused a domino effect of over draft charges. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made an office visit to address my issues on my account. The company gave me a {$36.00}. refund check for the over draft fee and meanwhile offered me additional money. I accepted an additional {$1500.00}. loan to address additional over draft charges that I might occur. I was told that they would refund my {$220.00}, and I wouldn't have to make a payment until XX/XX/XXXX, the new amount would be {$240.00}. mo.. I asked for my pay dates to occur on the XX/XX/XXXX Wednesday of the month ; I was charged {$34.00}. extra for the first payment {$270.00}. due on XX/XX/XXXX, which I paid {$270.00}, on XX/XX/XXXX. Over a week later, I received a {$220.00} refund check. On XXXX XXXX, I received a statement for {$500.00}, due on XX/XX/XXXX. stating that I was in the arrears and they wanted the {$220.00}. returned. Also, with them giving a check for {$36.00}. over draft because of their mistake ; they charged me {$34.00}. for an additional 10 days ; so they only refunded to {$2.00} for over draft. I received several phone calls demanding return of the {$220.00} ; and there was no 10 day grace period allowed for the initial payment. I am current on my {$240.00}. payments and do not feel that I should return the {$220.00}. when it was not even due until XX/XX/XXXX. The company made a mistake in their transactions and they want to hold me liable for it.

After 5 years of paying the minimum payment I still have the debt but now the debt increase because they said that issued a check for {$1000.00} written XX/XX/XXXX and {$700.00} of XX/XX/XXXX.The problem is that I never received those checks. Then I started investigated by myself. I hired an Attorney but anybody gave me a good answer. I obtained a copy of that check, proof 1 back and fort of the check No XXXX. the said that my complaint did not proceed because the check It was signed for me. The reality the check I have never signed or received. During that time I was in the hospital. Until today after fighting 2 years trough attorney, and letters.. I still have problems with the check. Any body believe me. I am desperate everybody said that I can not do anything about that debt.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I got a loan from one main fiancial for XXXX. I had been current on this loan till XX/XX/XXXX were my wife took ill and I had too take over all our bills. The balance was just over {$1900.00} when I stopped paying the bill. One main financial had stopped contacting me about the loan. Until late XX/XX/XXXX, to where I was informed by XXXX XXXX XXXX, a collections agency that they are representing one main financial and that they were attempting to collect over 3300.00 dollars on behalf of one main financial. They had got a court date and was pursuing too attempt to collect this amount. I contacted a lawyer that specialized in these situations. He told me I didnt have to go too court that he would handle it, which I wasnt able to attend anyway because of work. I assumed he would fight for the previous amount mentioned and that I owed. He said they wouldnt move from that price so we agreed that if I made a payment bye XX/XX/XXXX the judgement order wouldnt be enforced long as I stayed concurrent. Ive been current on such loan. On XX/XX/XXXX they one main financial reported to the credit bureau that I was late on loan. If this would have been discussed in renegotiating the loan ( meaning that they would still be reporting me as late to credit bureaus ) I would not have agreed to any terms with one main financial are there lawyers XXXX XXXX XXXX. They are deceiving the consumer allowing them to think that the loan has been put back in gud standings and it would be that way as long as youre current on said loan.

Complaint: I had purchased a selection of insurance coverage protection plans when I obtained a loan through OneMain Financial. The coverage included involuntary employment insurance. Upon direction and full disclosure of my employment statuses, a claim for unemployment coverage was submitted to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX, on my behalf. The claim was subsequently paid by XXXX XXXX XXXX, with no contact with me during the claim review process or upon determination of the claim status. Subsequently, through a 2nd period of unemployment, an additional claim was submitted to XXXX XXXX XXXX by OneMain Financial, on my behalf in XX/XX/XXXX. Upon submission of the 2nd claim, XXXX XXXX XXXX denied the claim and demanded repayment of the initial claim in a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX. The letter, furthermore, DEMANDED a written explanation of the initial, XX/XX/XXXX, unemployment claim as well as full reimbursement of the amount paid to OneMain Financial. In a subsequent letter, dated XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX alleged I presented misrepresented information, in violation of Pennsylvania 's illegal ac 18 PA ST 4117 and may be subjected to criminal and civil penalties. Upon receipt of the letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, I personally telephoned Ms. XXXX XXXX, IFC, Special Investigator and discussed my employment status as well as what was disclosed to OneMain Financial prior to submission of the initial claim. The branch office of OneMain Financial advised me, " all '' information would be submitted to " the insurance company '' as I was unaware of the XXXX XXXX, at that time, for company review. Ms. XXXX advised me all correspondence must be sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX in writing. In a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, I recapped my displeasure with the reference of having conducted an unlawful act and personal attack on my reputation, character and integrity. In addition, I recapped the context of the telephone discussion I had with Ms. XXXX including reference to the telephone conversation that occurred between myself and the OneMain Financial branch office in XX/XX/XXXX. My XX/XX/XXXX letter also requested an amicable resolution to this matter. In response to my letter of XX/XX/XXXX, in a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, by Ms. XXXX on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX, Ms. XXXX reference employment information obtained from 2 previous employers. The letter also referenced my response to " have you returned to work '' as " No ''. This response was the recommended response by the OneMain Financial branch as there was a gap in employment, part of which was voluntary, however, the branch office of OneMain Financial led me to believe the verbal dialogue as well as the signed claim form would all be submitted to XXXX XXXX XXXX, on my behalf. The letter continued the DEMAND for repayment and included a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX purported to have been sent to me indicating the claim had been reviewed and paid to OneMain Financial. In a response letter, dated XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX, my introduction portion of the letter indicated " With all due respect, XXXX has reviewed and made the determination based upon information provided by other parties. In addition, the letter requested specific information including, any information obtained from the OneMain Financial branch office, details regarding information obtained from previous employers, request for termination of any coverage provided by XXXX XXXX XXXX on my behalf, effective XX/XX/XXXX, an explanation why XXXX XXXX XXXX is demanding payment from me for monies paid to OneMain Financial, a review and determination of 2 months for which I should be eligible for payment and a detailed plan to resolve this issue as well as correction to IRS reporting. In a response letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX, dated XX/XX/XXXX, the letter references " validation '' of employment by previous employers, an interview with the branch manager of OneMain Financial that referenced my discussion with the branch manager regarding insurance coverages included with my loan. In addition, the interview with the branch manager references the branch manager did not advise me benefits would be paid, however, " XXXX '' would review the information and then make a determination on my claim. Notwithstanding, what has been stated, the letter as well as the " interview '' do not reference the full disclosure of employment statuses made by me to the OneMain Financial branch office. The letter, furthermore, indicates any additional information necessary for XXXX XXXX to review the claim would be requested from me. There was NEVER any contact by or with me, from XXXX XXXX XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX provided for a written repayment plan which must be executed within 30 days of the XX/XX/XXXX letter, an involuntary unemployment claim form for the 2 months previously questioned, refused to cancel the insurance coverage, as requested in my XX/XX/XXXX letter, indicating the cancelation must be requested through the OneMain Financial branch, refusal to release information obtained from a previous employer and indication the IRS reporting correction would be processed upon full repayment. The letter also indicates XXXX XXXX XXXX is demanding repayment from me rather than OneMain Financial " because the insurance contract is between myself and XXXX '', " not between XXXX and OneMain '', however " made benefit payments to OneMain Financial on my behalf '' for the claim in question. If in fact the insurance contract is between myself ( the borrower ) and XXXX XXXX ( the underwriter ), why have benefits been paid to OneMain Financial? If the insurance contract is between myself ( the borrower ) and XXXX XXXX ( the underwriter ), why do I need to contact the OneMain Financial branch office to cancel coverage? If the insurance contract is between myself ( the borrower ) and XXXX XXXX ( the underwriter ), why will the eligible benefits be paid to OneMain Financial?

Complaint: I had an existing loan with One Main Financial and decided to refinance the loan. I went in to the office on XX/XX/2019 to sign the final paperwork and during that time, XXXX ( my loan officer ) mentioned to me that I would have a refund coming to me for the unused portion of my insurance that had been paid on my previous loan and that I would be receiving that in the mail. I did not receive the check in the mail so I called XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to see if he could call the insurance company. I was worried that maybe it had been lost or stolen. He said he would call me back. He never did so the following Tuesday I called and the manager answered and said XXXX was busy. I explained what had happened and he seemed very aware of the conversation I had with XXXX. He told me things had changed and they were no longer refunding the money. I told him that was not what XXXX had said to me and the papers I had signed did not reflect this. He said he was going to check into this and call me back and never did. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent an email to " One Main Support '' and received a reply the next day which said " Your message has been forwarded to our Executive Office of Customer Care ''. I don't understand why it is so difficult to get an answer from this company. Also, if I am not entitled to this refund why did XXXX tell me I would be receiving it? And I would like them to come up with a document ( with my signature ) saying that I am not entitled to the money. I don't think that is asking too much.

Complaint: I had a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I got a title loan in XXXX and one main financial has loaned me through the past years up to XXXX dollars.the last rework of the loan was XXXX in XXXX. I asked how can you loan that much if the car isn't worth that much. I was told at that time that it was. Here 's my problem. On XXXX XXXX.of XXXX I was in an accident that totaled my car. My insurance pd XXXX for the car as I was not at fault. This being XXXX of XXXX one main financial will not rework the loan, although the insurance check went straight to them and they sent the title to my insurance company. I spoke to XXXX at one main financial in XXXX, nc on Friday XX/XX/XXXX. I was told I would have to make 6 regular payments before they could rework it. I have a different car now and have a XXXX dollar monthly payment. I am XXXX retired widow on XXXX raising my granddaughter since her birth in XXXX. I have a mortgage payment of XXXX on my house monthly. Because I adopted my granddaughter, she gets XXXX a month off my husband since his death in XXXX. I have utilities to pay, cell phone, internet service, and groceries and clothes and whatever she needs. I can't get any help with XXXX XXXX XXXX because I adopted her. My point being. I can not come up with an extra XXXX to repay one main financial for even 6 monthes. They denied my request to rework the remainder of my loan to a smaller payment. What happens. They have no collateral and i don't have any extra money. What can I do?

Complaint: We have had 2 loans with XXXX XXXX XXXX - one secured by car, other unsecured. We fell behind on payments a few months ago following our daughter becoming a victim of violent crime. We have continued to make payments but can not get caught up from the one month late payment. All of our payments are going to interest only and the company refuses to help us make arrangements to get caught up. They keep threatening us with repossession of our vehicle but refuse to let us get back on track. They call my husbands cell and my cell constantly every day, from different numbers. Yesterday, the contacted my mother - who has no knowledge of this or connection to it. They pretended to be a legal service company, stating they were attempting to serve me with legal documents and that if they dont receive my signature by today, they will document my refusal to sign and the process will move forward without me. They told all of this to my mother who is not party to this debt. They are impersonating a legal entity and threatening legal actions to us and others about us. Yet, when we try to work out arrangements with them, they demand full payment of past due and currently due and still threaten repossession. We do not know what else to do. We have been frantically trying to resolve this issue but they continue to get more aggressive and threatening instead of helping. Weve even considered bankruptcy filing due to this situation. It is illegal to pretend to be a legal process server/threaten legal action/tell others about my debt or threaten them about my debt. This needs to be stopped. Note : my husband is the party on this loan. He is also the owner of the vehicle involved. Yet, one main is contacting myself and my mother repeatedly and sharing debt information and threatening legal action against my husband.

Complaint: OneMain Financial has violated the terms of the Fair Credit Reporting Act by conducting a hard credit pull of my credit file without my authorization. I did not authorize a hard credit pull by OneMain or XXXX, the matching service that OneMain received my information from, for a personal loan. OneMain, without authorization and despite the fact that I never contacted them or communicated with a representative in any way, ran a hard credit pull on my credit history. XXXX made it clear that no hard check would be run, and that options listed were based only on a soft check. At no point did I authorize a hard check with XXXX or OneMain, which obtained my information from XXXX. I've spoken with XXXX after speaking with the OneMain office in XXXX XXXX this morning, and verified with XXXX 's agent that their terms and conditions do not include authorizing a hard credit check either by XXXX or One Main. I called OneMain for the first time morning after noticing that OneMain had done a hard pull on my credit, again without ever obtaining my authorization. I've pasted a transcript of the conversation with the XXXX agent, along with the terms and conditions I agreed to with XXXX, which did not authorize XXXX, OneMain or any affiliate that XXXX works with to conduct a hard pull. This morning, I was told by OneMain that XXXX gave permission to do a hard check on my credit, which their agent says they never do. Again, their terms and conditions, listed on their website, also support this. I have asked OneMain to correct this situation. The unauthorized credit pull caused my credit score to drop 20 points. Complaint: Why does XXXX XXXX allowed to have companies that advertise and they endorse that say they can help you fix your credit by offering consolidation loans and then they tell you that unless you have a score of 700 or above they can't help you, in the mean time run a hard credit check and bring down your score more? I have gotten numerous emails, texts, and phone calls from companies endorsed by XXXX XXXX that just say that my score of XXXX prevents them from financing me. That unless I have a score of 700 or above that they can't help me.
