Debt collection: I do not know

You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Complaint: National Enterprise Systems has called my place of employment five times in the last couple weeks to collect on a debt that I do not believe I owe. I just started recording the time and name of the representative calling. Today XX/XX/19 someone who identified themselves as XXXX XXXX called at XXXX asking for me to identify myself and confirm my social security number and my date of birth. I have read that the representatives of NES regularly use aliases so I am not even sure if that is his real name. I told them they could not call me at work and informed him that I had told the previous callers that they could not call me at work also. He then either lied, knowingly or unknowingly, and said that they had never called before. I informed him that he was violating the fair debt collection practices act and then he started talking over me so that I could not get a word in. He told me I was neglecting a debt owed but he would not identify who he was calling for unless I would provide personal information about myself which I refused to do out of privacy and identity theft concerns. He said that he would remove my work number from his call list but he is not the first person to do so, now I do not believe they take any action to prevent repeated violations of the FDCPA. I do have some old student loans that I owe on and I am making payments to the federal government on those loans because they were federally insured loans. But NES does not ever call about those loans so I believe they are either wrong of the calls are outright fraud.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: Credit card debt

Debt was paid
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX ACCT NUMBER XXXX XXXX XXXX I am in receipt of your letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, where you state that you are reporting the validity of this account and you are absolutely WRONG! I have attempted on several occasions to get this matter taken care of and you refuse to provide me what I have been asking since XX/XX/XXXX and that is COPIES OF ALL SIGNED DELIVERY RECEIPTS FROM XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX where there was acceptance of ALL furniture that was delivered and accepted. I have also requested the receipt from the Delivery Company that was contracted through XXXX XXXX @ XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, CA XXXX, where the items were refused for delivery that I previously listed in dated correspondence on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and not a fraudulent signature on Delivery Receipt dated XX/XX/XXXX. Im exercising my right under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Section 609, to request further information about the following item on my credit report. I wish to see ALL the original sources of the information reported including, but not limited to, the original delivery receipt with my signature of refusal from the delivery company that was contracted. If you cant provide me with this information, that I have requested on several occasions, you need to remove the account immediately as neither your agency nor National Enterprise Systems can verify that they are reporting accurately. Once these items are removed, you need to immediately delete the account from the credit reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX ) that you have reported INACCURATE information to. My sole purpose is to get this item removed from my credit report files. This letter should not be interpreted as recognition of the debt or acknowledgment of liability for the debt. If your company does not receive the signed delivery receipts, and refusal delivery signed on delivery receipt, you should delete all information regarding the account from my credit files within 15 business days from the receipt of this letter, as mentioned in this agreement. Following the acceptance of the agreement, please prepare a letter on your company letter head unambiguously agreeing to the aforementioned terms and conditions and have it signed by your agencys authorized signatory. If I do not receive an approval letter within 15 days of your receipt of this letter, I will assume this matter is resolved. XXXX

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: I do not know

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I received a letter which posted a charge of {$1400.00} levied by the collection agency National Enterprise System ( NES ). The date on the letter reads XX/XX/2019. When I called NES, the different representatives that I was transferred to refused to give me an explanation of the debt. They did not want to tell me what services or merchandises that I purchased that cost this dollar amount. They asked me to give them the account number written on the letter which I did. But instead of telling me why I owe this debt, they keenly insisted on me giving them my personal information, although I repeatedly verified the account number and my address.

Attempts to collect debt not owed

Debt collection: I do not know

Debt is not yours
Complaint: XXXX claimed I owed a debt which I do not owe them. They reversed an old fraud charge to my account when I wanted to close my account last year. I recently opened a cfpb complaint because they were illegally denying me access to my financial statements. They have not responded to my complaint. They did, however, use my contact information from my complaint to update the collection of my account they falsely accused me of owing. They took my personal contact information from my CFPB complaint and are using it to harass me for a debt I do not owe. I'm not surprised, considering they did not protect me from fraud on my account and denied me access to statements of the account. They have no morals or ethics, whatsoever.

Written notification about debt

Debt collection: Private student loan debt

Didn't receive notice of right to dispute
Complaint: I was alerted to a change of a negative report on my credit report. I discovered that National Enterprise System ( NES ) re-parked/parked a debt from a previous report from XXXX XXXX XXXX/XXXX. So they reported a debt already reported which affected my credit score. I never received any notice of the debt. No letter or correspondence and I was unsure what the debt was for. Also, they indicated that account was for an attorney. However, this is a zombie debt which became legally uncollectable XX/XX/2019. When I discovered the debt around late XXXX was on my credit report, I sent a certified letter to NES providing : 1. I never received any communication about this debt and I wanted more information about it. 2. I asked who was the attorney or law firm that the debt was being collected for in light of NES providing this was an attorney seeking the debt on the credit report. XXXX. Because I was activated for XXXX XXXX, I was protected under the SCRA so I asked for information on the interest rates since it was unclear why I owed the money. NES responded and provided nothing I asked for except the copy of the promissory note. I paid the amount regardless to settle but I was not provided the Initial G information, I was not provided a breakdown of cost outside the principal amount per Washington Law, this debt was parked/re-parked and I received a negative credit report for a debt that was already posted since 6 years ago, NES filed that an attorney was the account holder when there was no legal consequences especially with Washington 's new law that provides payment of a time barred debt does not re-age the debt or makes it active again, and the debt collector did not provide me any information on the interests rates charged to insure my SCRA rights were not violated. So I am unsure what the final amount negotiated involved, and NES in its collection efforts indicated that they were contact with the original creditor and they needed their approval of the settlement yet the credit report shows that the prior creditor of the account was paid in full.
