Complaint: After my three year lease with Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation ended, I received an invoice for {$4200.00}. I promptly responded and paid {$660.00}, the amount I was certain was due to Nissan. With respect to the other items in the original invoice, I sent Nissan a letter dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX disputing certain items, asking for verification that certain expenses had been paid and asked for verification of the basis of certain charges. The next invoice I received a letter from Nissan credited my payment but did not respond to any of the issues raises in my letter. I then sent another copy of the letter, and had the post office provide me with a tracking source that the letter had been delivered. On XXXX XXXX, XXXX I received another letter from Nissan reminding me that the balance of {$3500.00} was due, and staring that if I did not pay the amount due, my account may be referred to collections and the credit reporting agencies. Nissan has an XXXX number to call, and I tried it twice, finally hanging up in frustration after being on hold over 12 minutes. The majority of the amount Nissan claims is due is likely valid, e.g., the amount Nissan claimed paid to the XXXX for an annual car tax. I am only asking for verification that Nissan paid the bill from the city .A majority of the amount in question can be resolved by Nissan providing me with the backup requested.

Problems when you are unable to pay

Complaint: I made a payment saturday XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. My car was repossessed that day. We immediately tried to phone Nissan but they were closed. We called monday XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and notified them there was a payment made saturday for {$800.00}. They said there was n't any record of it and they said it would take XXXX business days to post. On their website it states it takes XXXX business days to apply payment, which should have been XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. I made another payment to them for the remaining balance on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX of XXXX, which was supposed to be enough to clear it. Both payments cleared my bank on XX/XX/XXXX.Then they proceeded to say they required proof that the payment was paid by my bank in the amount of XXXX as even as off today XXXX/XXXX/XXXX they show no record of it, so I called with a tracer number for the payment but they refused that. I then faxed a statement from my bank showing the payment posted and the amount still that was insufficient. I 've now been told despite the fact the money has been withdrawn from my account that my checking account now has to show a positive balance. I have overdraft protection on my account. all the payments have been paid. but yet they will not release the car so that i may pick it up. every time i call them the requirements that i must meet to gain possession of the vehicle change. and in the meantime I 'm left with no transportation and no money. i believe they are stalling so they may then auction the car as everyday it sits there storage fees continue to increase. this car should have been released on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX.

Complaint: On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I called Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp. ( XXXX ) and spoke with XXXX. I informed him that I made two payments of {$390.00} which came out of my checking account on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. He advised that I need to wait until the payments were posted ( meaning on Nissan 's side ). I understand completely and asked if I should call back tomorrow XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. He said yes. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX around XXXX XXXX EST I called back and spoke with XXXX. I reiterate the same information I gave from the previous night ( which he saw in all the notes and stated to me ) so XXXX proceeds to confirm that they ( Nissan ) did receive two payments for {$390.00} on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and asks me if I would like the refund in a form of an ACH or a manual check and it will take 7-10 business days to receive the refund either way ; however, because I requested the refund in a form of an ACH, I would not be able to get a confirmation number. IF, they were to cut a manual check, he would be able to give me a confirmation number. On XXXX/XXXX/XXXX I opened my mail from Nissan stating that I owed a payment for {$390.00} due XX/XX/XXXX because I " attempted to make a phone payment through their Billpay Matrix on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX which failed ''. Check phone records, I never did that, all I did was call their XXXX number at that time to try to get my money back on XXXX refund of {$390.00} since the duplicate payment was paid twice inadvertently. At this time, upon receipt of the letter ( thank God for my great note-taking ) I call Nissan back on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX EST and finally get XXXX XXXX, unable to help me with a resolution after consulting with her supervisor named XXXX, I ask her to transfer me to HER immediate supervisor immediately for a resolution. At this point I am speaking with XXXX. Please keep in mind, I am told they do not disclose last names. She tells me that I " should 've '' been told that the transfer takes 7-10 business days to process from XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. It is very deceptive to be told by XXXX that it will take 7-10 business days from XXXX/XXXX/XXXX for my credit/refund to reach my account, while XXXX tells me on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX that they began the process of refunding my second payment of {$390.00} on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, and it takes an additional 7-10 business days for it to hit my checking account. How misleading is this?!?!?!?!? They are basically holding on to my money for a month and at the same time double billing me!!! Then XXXX proceeds to tell me that I will HAVE to pay my regular payment of {$390.00} due XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, even though she can not guarantee me that MY refund from XX/XX/XXXX of the extra payment of {$390.00} will be credited to me even after XXXX 's employee, XXXX, provided me with wrong and misleading information, was extremely deceitful!! To top it off, XXXX offers to deduct {$90.00} from my XX/XX/XXXX payment even though the statement they will mail me will not reflect this ... .how could I have any trust in this company?! I would rather their employees do the right thing and do what they said ( which is give to give me back my money which is what was owed to me ), and just save me the time and aggravation!!! Why is it that they are not held accountable for misleading and wrongfully informing me for monies owed to me, yet they have no accountability or retribution?!?!?!? Regretfully, XXXX XXXX County, FL

Complaint: I have written this company at least 10-12 times in the past two years inquiring about the status of account # XXXX. I also disputed the accuracy of this account through the XXXX major credit reporting agencies. The bureau responded every single time ( 14X ) stating that Nissan stated they are reporting accurately. However, they are lying because the amount they stated that I owe is not correct and nor is the date of status ( my last activity ) on the account accurate. They never notified me that they sold the truck nor the amount that they sold it for. The amount I owe should be less whatever they sold the truck for. This should be the amount that 's reported on my credit file. I have contacted this company via the credit reporting agency asking for a debt validation regarding this account # XXXX. However, I have n't received a response. They still manage to keep reporting it on my credit profile every month even though they have not validated the debt. At this time, I am asking this company officially to validate this debt by sending me a copy of the contract which contractually binds me to pay the debt as being reported on my credit file. In addition, you should take note that re-aging this account is illegal. The FCRA Compliance Date is the official beginning of first date of delinquency which can not be changed once an account is charged-off. The 7-year clock begins 180 days from the time I FIRST missed a payment. Once a charge-off or collection account reaches seven years the credit bureaus must purge the account and it will no longer appear on future credit reports. This date from which the collection must be removed is informally referred to as the " purge from '' date. Re-aging a delinquent account is a serious violation of the FCRA. An original creditor or a debt collector may engage in illegal re-aging on the same charged-off account. Once the original creditor reports the FCRA Compliance Date to the credit reporting agencies, it is set in stone. This date can not be changed or updated under any circumstance. If this request is not met in approximately fifteen working days, I will have no choice but to contact a consumer attorney in hopes to resolve this issue. I have tried for months to be civil in hopes of reaching a mutual resolution, but to no avail. The company has chosen to practice illegal and unethical tactics in an attempt to get me to pay a debt that does n't belong to me. Please govern yourselves accordingly.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I leased a Nissan Leaf ( all-electric vehicle with an XXXX mile range per charge ) from XXXX Nissan for a 3 year term. In XX/XX/XXXX my wife filed for divorce and I decided to move to Oregon. Driving the car to Oregon was out of the question. My attorney requested I find what the " walk-away '' value of the lease would be. In XX/XX/XXXX the dealership calculated the final lump payment to be {$6200.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX I requested information from the dealership on how to return the vehicle. I was instructed to contact Nissan. I did so and was first referred to an independent evaluation service who determined the vehicle in excellent condition for return. I took the vehicle to the dealership and completed the transfer. I was told I would receive a certified letter within XXXX weeks from XXXX with the final payoff amount. I never received that letter. In XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from Nissan accusing me of being 2 months past due on my lease payments. I told them I had returned the car but they claimed they had no record of it being returned. I called the dealership who confirmed it had been turned over to XXXX in XXXX. I called XXXX again and was referred to their " Concern Department '' and told an investigator would be put on the case and I would hear back within a few days. I never heard from them again. XX/XX/XXXX I received a document from Nissan dated XX/XX/XXXX that listed the vehicle as " repossessed '' and that I owed {$19000.00}. I called Nissan and was transferred to an individual by the name of XXXX. He was obnoxious and condescending in his attitude and response. He insisted the dealership should have told me the car would be classified as " repossessed. " I told him that not once in the entire process did anyone ever disclose, suggest, or warn that turning in the car it would be considered as repossession and that on multiple occasions I was told the pay-off would be in the {$5000.00} to {$6200.00} range. XXXX then asked why I had n't made a final lump sum payment the day I turned in the vehicle. I replied I was instructed by the dealership to wait for a certified letter. XXXX declared that Nissan did n't want the car back and that I owed them {$19000.00}. I asked if there was someone else I could talk to and he told me to talk to the credit bureaus and to my attorney. I tried to contact the General Manager of XXXX Nissan but he never returned my phone call. I followed all the steps I was instructed to follow but now in XX/XX/XXXX, I have no resolution in this matter except for a document that says we owe {$19000.00} and a FICO score that has dropped from XXXX to in the low XXXX 's. I ask that the dealership and Nissan be investigated for unintentional negligence because they misled, misrepresented, or concealed material facts pertinent to the surrender of my leased vehicle. They failed to warn me of any negative circumstances or damage to my credit as a result of returning the vehicle. For constructive fraud because they were careless and negligent in misrepresenting, concealing, and making false statements regarding the status of my surrender of the leased vehicle. They " lost '' the vehicle, then " found '' it and subsequently classified my return as a repossession is an attempt to cover up their own mismanagement of the return. And for actual fraud due to intentional concealment of material facts, false statements, and deceit with regard to the status of my voluntary surrender of the leased vehicle. The damage done to my credit rating and the insistence of payment of {$19000.00} for a vehicle that I no longer have in my possession or access to is tantamount to extortion and blackmail. I was told on several occasions by the dealership that the pay-off amount would be between {$5000.00} and {$6200.00} depending on when I returned the vehicle. I am willing and prepared to pay the remaining balance due on the lease.

Complaint: Grounded an Infiniti Lease XX/XX/XXXX early, though due back XX/XX/XXXX. Leased a Nissan this time around, XXXX XXXX ( Mgr-XXXX ) contacted Nissan-Infiniti to make sure I would be able to qualify for the " Pull-Ahead '' program. I did the same thing, not taking his word, to make sure and he also provided me with the terms of that " Pull-Ahead '' Early Lease Turn-In, prior to finalizing the new Nissan Lease. After calling Nissan-Infiniti Lease/Finance Customer Care multiple times to verify this would not be an issue turning in an Infiniti to lease a new Nissan, and was informed that I did in fact qualify. XX/XX/XXXX, called again to confirm and verify after getting another letter about non-payment of last lease payment, oddly I 've been paying impeccably on time. Why would I refuse to pay my last payment and lease a new Nissan, almost 3-4 weeks ahead of it due date, I could have kept my lease, paid this last payment and leased the Nissan XX/XX/XXXX. Now XXXX the Loss Recovery at Infiniti tells me its my fault, I figured this is how they ( Infiniti-Nissan ) would operate after the fact. Someone ( s ), was grossly negligent in providing inaccurate information or XXXX failed to properly provide it 's customer service reps with the adequate training and information to provide customers with the right information. Now someone wants to claim stake, that an Infiniti lease end program gave alternative dates. LIE. I was negotiating multiple Infiniti dealers for favorable lease terms from XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX and none of them mentioned anything about a Lease End Pull Ahead Program or such dates about XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX. Why is it that they do n't even know, did n't know, including Nissan dealers from XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX who also did n't know about this Pull Ahead program? I even pulled my credit at multiple Nissan Stores, and they had n't heard of such a program. I think Infiniti-Nissan discrimates on who and when to use this selective " Pull-Ahead '' program for its Infiniti or Nissan customers, if their dealers do n't even know they had such a program, and XXXX XXXX happened to stumble on it. I have a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, collections letter claiming {$640.00}. I could have paid it instead of leasing a new Nissan, all someone had to do was say that I DID NOT QUALIFY, and I would have used a perfectly fine Infiniti until XX/XX/XXXX, I had no rush to part with my luxury Infinity and lease a substandard Nissan, when I was in the zone of the lease end/lease turn-in period. Information crucial, and I am beyond certain that Infiniti-Nissan failed to properly communicate such promotion or program to its dealers, and its returning customers, then later falsifying that lease customers did or did not qualify and charge them with the last XXXX payments, as the program specifically only allowed up to the last XXXX payments waived.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX at about XXXX XXXX I received a call on my cell phone from someone identifying themselves as Investigator XXXX. This person immediately started to scream at me regarding a Nissan Versa that is under my father 's name and that I am consigned on. XXXX did not explain the situation, she just began to scream that they were going to take my car and there was an alert out and I would not be allowed to take anything out of it. When I asked what was going on she just kept screaming " ask you dad '' and refused to give me more information. My father has been making payments on this car since XX/XX/XXXX. I have never been contacted regarding a missed payment. I did not have access to this account prior to Friday XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX would not let me speak or give me answers. I know my rights, and I know that I have a right to be told what the problem is and I also have a right to try to fix it, which I did, immediately. Just like I would have made a payment if someone had contacted me XX/XX/XXXX when this problem began. I have a right to know if something is wrong. I have a right to not be screamed at and treated basically like I am a criminal. I understand this is my father 's fault. Lately he has proven himself untrustworthy and a liar, but I swear I did not know there was a problem. I rely on this vehicle to get to work, to take my daughter who is mentally ill to her appointments, and to take her to get her medications. I was terrified this weekend, even though I fixed the problem on Friday when someone in the Finance department finally listened to me and helped. I hid in my house, afraid that my daughter would be around for some repo man to violate my rights as a consumer. Every time I heard a car that sounded like a tow truck I cried. I hid. I am a citizen who has never been in trouble and this weekend I felt like someone was coming to arrest me. That is unacceptable. Just like my father not paying and not letting me know and giving you all the run around is unacceptable. Going forward I will be making the payments myself and I am taking the proper steps to remove him from this contract. I have not seen him and I have not talked to him prior to Friday when I called and asked what the problem was, and he continued to lie to me which tells me he has been lying to you all about the payments. I know you all probably hear this all the time, but I was not made aware of the situation, by my father or by Nissan. I would think that a call or a message to my cell would be the appropriate steps before having some " investigator '' call me screaming about the car. If I would have known XX/XX/XXXX that there was a problem I would have paid, but I was not given that right. I have exercised my right to cure the default, and I now want a guaranteed that the system has been updated and that I do not have to be afraid that when I go somewhere my car will not be gone when I come out. I want to know why your employee is allowed to speak to me in the manner that was used. I want to know what is being done about the failure to notify me, the other person on the contract, that there was a problem. I want to know what the consequence is for Investigator XXXX not informing me what the problem is and letting me know my options. I do understand that this is a grave mistake made by my father, and I should have checked on it, but I did not have a reason to think anything was wrong since he has been paying for three years and most importantly was not made aware of a problem. I understand the gravity of the situation but feel that it could have been explained to me before I was screamed at. I have a right to know the details. I would appreciate a response since I am now afraid to drive my car. I have taken the proper steps to ensure that this not happen ever again as I am now the only contact on the account. I

Complaint: I lost my job in XXXX 2015, towards the end of the month I realized I had not paid my car note that was due XXXX XXXX, 2015. I instantly called Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation to set up a payment arrangement. They agreed to offer a payment extension where they would move XXXX 2015 and XXXX 2015 payment to the end of the loan, extending my loan but giving me time to gain new employment. I signed the payment extension on XXXX XXXX, 2015, and mailed it the next day, by the claimed deadline, but they say did n't get it in time. When talking to them I specifically asked if I would be penalized if it got to them after XXXX/XXXX/2015, due to them not providing a return email address, or fax number, it having to be mailed to a P.O. Box, and me not being able to send it certified mail. They told me no. I have found new employment and have made XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX payments. My husband and I are currently trying to buy a house, which is when we were told that NMAC put a nick on my credit saying I was 30 days late for XXXX 2015. When I call, on XX/XX/2015, to ask why they had put on my credit that I was 30 days late, they claimed that I did not get my paper work to them prior to the date. When I explained what the original agent told me they said that it was not in the notes and that she would never have told me that. So I was pretty much called a liar, then I was told that it states that if I do not send the form back and that they do not receive it prior to the 30 day mark that it will count against you, and since they had " processed '' it on XX/XX/XXXX that they would not do a courtesy removal! I have a copy of the signed agreement and nowhere does it state such. It does however have an offer expiration date of XX/XX/2015. This week I pulled my credit and it now shows that I am not 30 days late for XX/XX/XXXX, but that I am 30 days late for XX/XX/XXXX. I called them yesterday morning and explained that it was showing that I was 30 days late for XX/XX/XXXX and that I had a bank statement showing that is not true. He looked it up and said no ma'am you were not late. So I asked if there was a letter they could send me to verify since we are currently trying to purchase a home, he said yes and that he would notate that they needed to put the information specific to XX/XX/XXXX on it. When I received it, it did not notate any such thing. So I called NMAC back again, and explained that I had received the letter that was not detailed as I had asked and was promised it would be and wanted to know what was going on. He said he could send out a new letter showing what I was asking and that it would have the specific times I was late. He then told me that It would state that I was 30 days late in XX/XX/XXXX and asked if I understood. I said no I did not due to the agreement, and wanted to know why it is constantly changing, and that I did not understand how they can just mess with people. I did what I was asked to do, by the time I was asked to do it, and now I am being penalized and having to constantly call and get " help '' yet they will not give it. I never received the letter they promised me yesterday, instead I received it this morning. It is the same letter that I got yesterday, the only difference is the due date and payment amount due. So once again I am on hold for another 30 minutes to 1 hour, to beg for help again, that I feel I will not receive. It is almost like they take pride in playing with people 's lives. I would like the nick to be removed, seeing as I was in compliance from the beginning. Otherwise what is the point in trying to do the right thing and call and set up payment arrangements when, they are going to penalize you, and treat you like dirt anyways? Can you help me please?

Complaint: I purchased my vehicle from XXXX XXXX in XXXX and financed my purchase through Nissan Acceptance Corp on XX/XX/XXXX. At that time, I resided in Texas and my vehicle was titled and registered in that state. I moved from XXXX to XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX and my registration was good through XX/XX/XXXX. Knowing my registration was due to expire, I took a day off work on XX/XX/XXXX and drove XXXX miles to the XXXX XXXX XXXX Department to get my title and registration transfered. I worked with XXXX MVD employee, XXXX, and she advised Nissan needed to release my title in order for my registration to be renewed. XXXX attempted to call Nissan around XXXX. After several minutes on hold, me and my boyfriend called from our personal cell phones trying to get through to the same number. Nissan kept us all on hold saying, " We are sorry for the delay, but due to our new website you will be experiencing longer waits. '' XXXX was forced to hang up after quite some time in order to help other customers. Instead she faxed the request to Nissan. However, my boyfriend and I stayed on hold from our cell phones for over XXXX hours waiting for Nissan, but no-one ever answered. Since then I 've tried diligently to get a hold of Nissan and even reached out to the dealer where I purchased the car. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX in XXXX and explained my situation. They said one of the finance officers would call me, but I never heard back from them. I finally got a hold of someone at XXXX XXXX and they gave me a phone number for Nissan that is disconnected. I continued to call Nissan on several other occasions, XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX and encountered the same message about the long wait period due to there new website. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called the XXXX Department of Transportation and was told they were not holding up the process, the title release request was pending with Nissan and I just had to wait. On XX/XX/XXXX, I enlisted help from the local Nissan dealership here in XXXX, XXXX. I spoke with their title representative, XXXX, who offered to help me. XX/XX/XXXX i sent XXXX more info. She sent me a message that she was still trying to get a hold of Nissan. Another week later, she sent me a message that was finally able to get in contact with Nissan and they said they never received the request to release my title. XXXX contacted the XXXX XXXX, who confirmed they submitted the original request to Nissan and requested they submit the request AGAIN. I still have not heard from anyone about said matter and it is XXXX XXXXXXXXXXXX
