Complaint: I contacting Midwest Collection. They said I owe {$670.00} ... I asked them to produce original paperwork from this debt. The bill collector said he was working on paperwork. He said it was a payday loan for $ XXXX from 2012. He has reported it to the credit bureau but I never received information who the original debtor..Now he says If I pay Immediately {$250.00} .it will settle the debt. My suspension is that this bill was sold off several times and no one has the original paperwork. I thought it was my right under Fair Debt Reporting Act that I am entitled to see this. Can you please help?

Initially there were XXXX accounts showing from this company. XXXX has been removed and I was advised of it the other was never responded to. This needs to be removed from the credit bureaus immediately. I refuse to pay something that does not belong to me. I am also concerned about them having my Information and I do n't know who they are.

If you google the company XXXX there are reports of scams matching this company and they have provided no source of the company they claim that they are collecting for, if you look them up in the better business bureau there are over XXXX complaints of this being a fradulent company. Now they are reporting on my credit under another name demanding that I pay something that is not even mine. Now they are going under this information for the same information saying that I owe a payday loan from XX/XX/XXXX XXXX # : XXXX Current Creditor : XXXX - XXXX Original Creditor : XXXX Account # : XXXX Account Balance : {$760.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. XXXX XXXX, MO XXXX Toll-Free # : XXXX Fax # : XXXX Website : XXXX My information is being passed along repeatedly to DIFFERENT companies buying my old information and saying that I owe a debt that I never took out, it is getting ridiculous that now it is on my credit report displaying the name XXXX XXXX and also that the debt was opened on XX/XX/XXXX. I am totally being scammed, I want this off of my XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX report IMMEDIATELY because I am being scammed, none of these companies can provide debt validation so I can investigate this properly to the authorities. No company would decide to go on trying to collect a debt that is supposed to be from XX/XX/XXXX and it is almost XX/XX/XXXX. That is how I know this is FAKE! If I took out a loan that should be able to provide documents, electronic signatures if it was done on line and also provide the XXXX address of the computer it came from, they put it on my credit report before even notifying me, total scammers. Please rectify this issue IMMEDIATELY

Complaint: I received a phone call to collect on a debt and the agent quote an address that I have not lived at in 7 years, the call got disconnected. I am trying to purchase a home and when my credit report was pulled there is a {$850.00} collection account. I called the agency to see what this collection was for and it was the same people that tired to contact me previously. The agent told me that they are going to report this debit every week on XXXX to continue to decrease my credit score until I pay it or if I pay the {$850.00} they will wipe the debit off of my credit report like it was never there. The collection agency is calling me all day everyday.

Complaint: Midwest Recovery Systems reported a collection debt to my XXXX and XXXX credit file in XX/XX/XXXX for {$790.00}. I never received a 30 day disclosure of any collection activity. When I called them on XX/XX/XXXX after finding out this debt was placed on my credit file by XXXX XXXX, I could not reach a person and only heard advertisements for switching phone service, etc. It appears that the debt was sold from another collection agency (? ) to Midwest Recovery Systems. Midwest Recovery Systems has violated federal law by not sending me a 30 day notice to validate the collection to my address on file with XXXX and XXXX. This caused my credit score to drop at least XXXX points and possibly up to XXXX points. I intend to seek full restitution and damages if this is not removed from my credit file immediately. I 'm almost positive the debt was originally incurred in XX/XX/XXXX/XX/XX/XXXX, which would make the debt 8-9 years old now which is well past the statute of limitations. This is an illegal practice of debt selling and manipulation that violates the FCRA. Furthermore it can not be reported beyond 7 years. If a collection company can report to a credit bureau then they can sure pull my current address to send me a letter regarding a debt. This item needs to be removed immediately from my credit file so my family can buy first house.

Complaint: I received an alert from my credit protection account that XXXX collections account were posted on my account from Midwest Recovery Systems with the original creditor being XXXX XXXX. The information on both collections account was the same and reflecting I owed the amount of $ XXXXfor each collection account. The only difference was the account numbers had a different last digit number. I have never done business nor heard of a company called XXXX XXXX. The collection agency ( Midwest Recovery Systems ) have never contacted me regarding this debt and gave me a chance to dispute it within the 30 days. I just woke up XXXX morning and XXXX collection accounts were there. Four days later after they added these collection accounts to all XXXX credit bureaus, I received another alert stating that my information was found through the XXXX XXXX and was possibly sold. I have an identity theft report and have disputed this with all XXXX credit bureaus. I have also filed a complaint with the XXXX in which I saw this company has had over XXXX complaints with the same issue that they were not notifying people of collection accounts and just placing these fraud accounts on their credit. I decided to report them as well to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau because it seems this collection agency are not conducting business legally and just placing false collection accounts on consumer 's credit report without allowing the information to be verified or the consumer a chance to dispute it. I am in the process of purchasing a home and this has majorly impacted my credit where I can not obtain a home. I do n't want this to happen to another XXXX people.

Upon checking my report I noticed an account sent to collections by Midwest Recovery Systems for a payday loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX that I did not take out. I received no notifications from either XXXX XXXX XXXX or Midwest Recovery Systems informing me of the debt nor were there any attempts to collect. My first time hearing of this account was when I received the notification from XXXX XXXX and signed in to check my reports. Furthermore, a XXXX search for XXXX XXXX XXXX turned up no results leading me to wonder if such a company even exists. I did not contact Midwest Recovery Systems as I fear this is a scam. Instead I disputed the items with XXXX and XXXX and filed complaints with the XXXX, the Missouri Attorney General 's Office ( Midwest Recovery Systems allegedly is located in Missouri ), and the Federal Trade Commission.

They 're address is listed as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MO XXXX. They show original creditor as XXXX XXXX. 1. I have not ever received debt verification or any correspondence from the collection agency. They say the account was placed in their office XX/XX/XXXX for debt dated XX/XX/XXXX, yet they have never contacted me. 2. I have never done business with CP Investors. I have not ever been contacted by them for any debt. I believe XXXX XXXX to be a scam and Midwest Recovery also. They failed to notify my of any account in their office within 30 days and reported a, fraudulent account to the credit bureaus. I would like the account removed immediately and Midwest Recovery held accountable for failure to comply with the law. What they are doing appears to be fraud.
