Complaint: My credit monitoring subscription notified me that Midwest Recovery Systems had posted collection accounts on my XXXX and XXXX credit bureaus dated XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I have never received notice of this debt from Midwest Recovery Systems nor have I been given the opportunity to dispute this debt before they reported it to the credit bureaus. I had to look up the company on the internet to find their contact information. I contacted them on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX and spoke with a XXXX He informed me that on XX/XX/XXXX, I had taken a loan from a company called XXXX in the amount of {$1400.00} and that that sum was deposited into my bank account. He told me the current sum due is now {$1700.00}. I asked for an account number to which they gave me XXXX. I have never heard of XXXX. Looking at my bank statement from XX/XX/XXXX, there are no deposits from anything unfamiliar nor are any of them for the amount of {$1400.00}. I have searched my bank statements from XX/XX/XXXX through current date and there have not been any deposits to my bank account in the amount of {$1400.00}. Midwest Recovery Systems is also not registered to collect with the state in which I currently live nor are they registered with the state in which I previously lived.

Complaint: I went to check my credit score on XXXX XXXX ( as I do several times a month ), and I noticed a significant dip in my credit score from one of the reporting agencies ( nearly XXXX points ). After digging through my reported items, I noticed my score dropped because of a newly reported collection account from Midwest Recovery Systems. The account stated that I owed {$690.00} and that the account was opened XXXX XXXX 2016. The collection account was reported to the credit reporting agencies on XXXX XXXX, 2016. I never received a written statement saying a debt was owed, and I have n't received any phone calls from this collection agency. Also, I have no record of any debt owed to the company listed as the original creditor XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: About a year and a half ago I purchased a membership to XXXX over Texas. I paid off the membership, and have provided proof to the debt company that it has been paid off. I have been harassed for months about this issue. I have issued verbal and written statements that they are not allowed to call me again, that the debt was paid, and that they have received proof of payment. They have acknowledged all of this, yet they continue to call, sometimes multiple times a day, and harass me at home and at school. They have used intimidation tactics, such as saying if I do not pay the debt in full they will destroy my credit. They have talked to my father, invading my privacy and causing emotional and social stress. They have not, as they said they would, sent me proof that the debt is owed. It has been more than 30 days. They are being fraudulent and negligent. They have reported it, falsely, and it is impacting my credit negatively and harming my ability to take out loans to pay for college and get an apartment.

Complaint: Midwest Recovery LLC has repeatedly called me and threatened legal action for an unknown debt that appears to date back 15 yrs ago. They leave multiple voicemails at my home daily, and they tell me that someone is coming to my job to serve me with legal papers. They have also called my job leaving messages for me with our accounting department. I called them back from work and asked for their address to send a cease and desist letter, but they would not give it to me, and the man yelled at me saying that he hopes I 'm embarrassed when I am served with legal papers at my work " tomorrow '' and then hung up on me. This company also keeps reporting this 15 yr old debt on my credit reports causing me to have to dispute and remove them.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was checking my credit report and noticed a new collection entry from Midwest Recovery Systems. I called customer service and was told I had an outstanding payday loan and this company had purchased my debt and was demanding {$690.00}. When I explained to the rep that I had no knowledge of this and why was I not contacted before it was submitted to the credit bureau she had no explanation. When I asked to verify when this occurred she was unable to provide me with that information. She said " maybe in XX/XX/XXXX '' but was not able to provide any other details. I asked for something in writing in order to research this, and she sent a very vague letter via email. I do not owe this debt and this company has submitted this to all my credit reports without my knowledge.
