Complaint: Hello, In XX/XX/2018, I sent a certified letter to LexisNexis to dispute the inaccuracy and compliance of a public record that they maintain under my social security number. In this letter, I requested that they please validate this information with the court and provide me with copies of any documentation associated with this account, bearing my signature. They responded back and said it was verified as accurate. I sent another letter to them in XXXX requesting the procedure that they used to verify the accuracy and to also send me copies of names, addresses and phone numbers of each person they contacted from the court. They responded back with a letter saying that I requested them to initiate a dispute on my behalf with XXXX XXXX and XXXX, and that I would have to dispute each agency separately myself. THIS WAS NEVER IN MY LETTER!!! Also, In XXXX, I requested that LexisNexis put a security freeze on my report. That was granted on XX/XX/2018 and is still in effect today. Because they failed to provide me the information that I initially requested, I sent them another certified letter in XXXX requesting the same information to either be accurately verified or removed from my report. This time, they NEVER RESPONDED AT ALL! So, I sent them another certified letter in XXXX to inform them that by not replying in a timely manner to my initial letter dated XX/XX/2018, they have not only violated federal law, but they have also failed to provide me with a copy of any viable evidence, bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported accurately. Then, for whatever reason, they initiated an investigation with both XXXX and XXXX without my knowledge, nor my permission, and responded back saying that the public record on my report had been verified, and that the source of their verification was XXXX??? At this point, I realized that they are just playing games! However as one last act of good faith, I sent out two more certified letters to both LexisNexis headquarters and to the CEO of the company on XX/XX/2018 asking still, for the proper proof of verification from the court. They both responded with the same letters saying that I need to launch my own separate investigations with XXXX XXXX and XXXX! This is ridiculous! I'm tired of playing these games with them!!!

Complaint: I have contacted LexisNexis about a bankruptcy appearing on my credit report from XX/XX/2010. I asked the rep at LexisNexis how they verified this account as accurate, and he stated that they obtain their information from public records and sell it to the 3 bureaus ; XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX for profit. Under the FCRA laws, LexisNexis MUST obtain their information DIRECTLY from the ORIGINAL CREDITOR of the account, or it should be deleted from my credit report immediately. As you can plainly see in this letter which I have included from the United States Bankruptcy Court in XXXX, ND, the Clerk of Court states that " The Court does not send this information directly to these entities. '' If LexisNexis is not verifying this account information with the ORIGINAL CREDITOR, they are in violation of FCRA laws, and this bankruptcy should be deleted from their records and from my credit report immediately.

This is an ongoing issue with XXXX XXXX and they have don't respond or ignoring my request. Federal Law requires that they should provide mechanisms to ensure that each item in our report actually belong to us. The tracking from the USPS XXXX shows the letter was delivered on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX. It has been more than 30 days as today is XX/XX/XXXX, and I have not received any proof that the company investigated this matter at all. Therefore, in accordance with s.1629e ( 8 ) of the debt collection practices act, which clearly states that any information known to be false, can not be reported to any credit bureau , I request that they immediately delete this information from my reports. Complaint: I've sent multiple letters to this agency about this not being my account. After being advised by identitytheft.gov, I've completed and sent a fraud affidavit via certified mail. I can see they received it, but nothing has changed. See supporting documents. Even the USPS tracking.My official complaint is against LEXIS NEXIS. My information used to obtain medical, housing, and surprisingly a TAX LIEN. I am a victim of identity theft and have put this off for too long. I've completed the proper steps, 1. notify creditors 2. police report 3. informed the state of Texas. The individual I've suspected for this theft is now deceased, and the police department said to contact the federal trade commission to seek relief.

Complaint: Upon pulling of my Lexis Nexus report, by a mortgage lender, they noticed a State Tax Lien. Ive spoken with my county circuit clerks office and looked online repeatedly for this incorrect tax lien and they have no record of it. So again, I went to the XXXX County Circuit clerks office website today and seen again, no such record. They are hindering my ability to purchase a home for something that it being reported on my credit file incorrect. I have attached a picture of the XXXX County Circuit clerks website where it says no information found with the case number!

Complaint: On XX/XX/2018, I sent a direct dispute to LexisNexis Consumer Service Center via certified mail with electronic return receipt. It was received on XX/XX/2018. I received a letter from XXXX stating the dispute had been verified. As of XX/XX/2018, I still had not received a response from LexisNexis and my credit reports had not been updated to reflect the dispute. So I sent another letter certified mail with electronic return receipt, which was received by LexisNexis on XX/XX/2018. The response I received from LexisNexis was dated XX/XX/2018 and postmarked XX/XX/2018. The letter states, " You recently requested LexisNexis initiate on your behalf a dispute with XXXX ... ''. My direct dispute to LexisNexis was clear. LexisNexis has both a legal and ethical responsibility to validate my dispute. I find theresponse and actions taken by LexisNexis to be both illegal, unprofessional, and dishonorable.They have severely and illegally impacted my rights as a consumer who lodged a formal directdispute with their agency. I have attached evidence to support my complaint.
