Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 $XXXX was taken out of my Chase checking account and it was labeled "Returned Check."I discovered this on XX/XX/XXXX, Friday, when I went on line to check my account. I immediately called Chase. After 3 hours on the phone being passed from one department to another, I was told I'd have to go to the branch.On Saturday,XX/XX/XXXX, I went in to the branch at XXXX XXXX XXXX.XXXX XXXX FL XXXX and spoke with XXXX XXXX. I sat at his desk for over an hour while he made a few calls. I heard him say several times, "No, I do not want to be sent to another department. I will hold." As I said, after over an hour he is sitting on hold so I told him I have to leave and he said he would call me in 15 minutes. That was Saturday. He finally calls me back Monday morning to tell me he has no answer why the $XXXX was taken from my account. I told him I wanted to speak to someone higher in authority. He said he would call me back. He never did. I still have no answer!!!

Complaint: OnXX/XX/2019, I received an email from Chase confirming an address change made on an account. I do not have active accounts with Chase and have not for almost a decade. I was suspicious and contacted their Customer Service, who advised me to forward the suspicious email to XXXX. I did so, and on the same date I froze all of my credit reports. On XX/XX/2019, I received another email, welcoming me to my new Chase savings account. I forwarded this email as well to XXXX, although I had not received a response to my previous email. On the same date, I contacted Chase customer service and, after multiple transfers, was able to speak with someone in the Fraud department who advised the account was opened fraudulently online using my information, and that the account had been deactivated. On XX/XX/2019, I received another email associated with the savings account, which suggested to me that the account was not deactivated after all. The next day I contacted the Fraud department at Chase again. The representative reiterated that the account was deactivated, but could not verify the email that was sent, and would not provide further details "for the security of the account." I do not believe that Chase has deactivated this account, and throughout I have been frustrated by their unwillingness to take seriously this fraudulent activity. I understand from my conversations with Chase that the account was opened online, and the representative on XX/XX/XXXX advised to me that it is relatively easy to open a savings account online with little verification. At best, Chase is willfully negligent regarding fraudulent account openings; at worst, this is akin to the XXXX XXXX scheme where accounts are purposefully opened by the company. I have received no response from the Abuse team to which my concerns were directed, and all of my calls to Chase have been unsatisfactory and/or inaccurate.

Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I went to Chase Bank to open a new savings account XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX IL XXXX With the Banker XXXX XXXX small business specialists NMLS ID:XXXX consumer banking XXXX-XXXX and she wrote my name wrong “XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX” even though I’ve been banking with chase for the las 18 year checking account under name XXXX XXXX XXXX she link the new savings account to the checking account and yet still wrote my name wrong she ask for my consular ID XXXX passport and prove of address. She didn’t ask to double check the information in in the computer. I trusted her I was a little late about XXXX XXXX went I got home I noticed the mistake but I couldn’t go back it was late night. It was on Thursday Friday and Saturday I work at a XXXX and weekends are busy so I work from XXXX XXXX to XXXX with a 1:30 min break sometimes. I went back to chase Bank on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXXto ask for help and fix my name on the new savings account. The lady who helped me was the manager also she was trained a new employee and she did not help me instead she chage my checking account name by them I have to accounts with not matching name and everything got worse my accounts were restricted. I did not receive an email or texted message on my phone. On the XX/XX/XXXX I made a deposit XXXX cash and XXXX check from my state tax return... which was taken without let me know that my accounts were restricted. On the XX/XX/XXXX payments should be sent to the Rent company’s, insurance office payments, cellphone bill, electricity bill Gas bill. I couldn’t use my money because of those mistakes that were made by professional employees that work for Chase I was ask to bring papers work to verify my identity and also verify the social security number two times with two wrong names; I started getting calls from a social security department and crime so they said to be XXXX Pennsylvania XXXX XXXX New York Scammers but they have my information one of them ask for a XXXX to fix my situation.... I went to another chase bank on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was so surprising about everything he offered help and talk to his supervisor XXXX but they couldn’t fix the problem not till XX/XX/2019 I was able to take all my money in cash XXXX from checking and XXXX from savings. I was really disappointed of the poor quality of service and not even an apology from anyone from Chase even worse they still sending me emails treating me to close my accounts asking me to destroy atm cars checks and not to used my account and privacy policy that doesn’t make sense now It was a nightmare and really intimidating those call from whoever they were I hope that this never happens again and review all your policies. I not longer doing business with chase and I demand to stop mailing me and emails I got block to XXXX my chase app I can provide with all the paperwork that brought me here and cause me a lot of stress and time form work and personal time the the shame to be ask to borrow money to family and friends and calling all companies bills Thank You for your time.... Chase Sapphire VisaDispute of Transactions from Merchant XXXX from whom I had not received the goods but Chase is still charging me for the amount.I detail below the incident leading up to the claim and Chase handling of the issue. I have provided proof to show that I had not collected the goods and the merchant is fraudulently claiming to the contrary and Chase closing the dispute in favor of Merchant. I would like to add that my sister was with me during this purchase and can support me (including providing sworn statement) in all what I have written about the incident below.1) I went to XXXX to do some shopping for my daughter's wedding where I was also purchasing items for relatives (living in the US) who were directly participating in the wedding activities. I selected and paid for the disputed items at the store XXXX on the XX/XX/XXXX (Saturday). I specifically told them that I might have to come back if the individuals for whom they were purchased, were not happy with the design. I was at no stage informed that they do not refund any payments. 2) XXXX wanted me to split the payments into small amounts and use different cards to make it easy for them to process such a large amount, which I did. Three different payments to XXXX, totaling INR XXXX, made on the same day. (Paid with Chase Card INR XXXX-$XXXX ; Paid with Chase Card INR XXXX-$XXXX; Paid with XXXX card INR XXXX-$XXXX)3) I was told to come back on Tuesday the XX/XX/XXXX as the store had to prepare the items. I wish to emphasize here that the items purchased were all straight off-the-shelf and did not require any alterations. XXXX claimed they needed to iron and fold properly to transport to the US.4) Since some of the original choice of items were not acceptable to the individuals, I had purchased them for, I requested a refund for these. I tried to speak to the Store Owner twice - on the Sunday the XX/XX/XXXX (visiting the store) and the Monday the XX/XX/XXXX (by phone), without any success. I then emailed him on the XX/XX/XXXX and also sent a copy of the email by registered post asking for a refund for the unwanted items. 5) I initiated the cancellation of the full order and did not collect the items on the advice of the Credit Card Representative on the XX/XX/XXXX.6) XX/XX/19 - I initiated dispute with the Credit Card Companies, Chase Visa and US XXXX7) XX/XX/19 - I returned to US.8) XX/XX/19 – Uploaded supporting documentation via Chase Secure Message Center (Included the email conversation with the store owner)9) XX/XX/19 – Uploaded additional documentation via Chase Secure Message Center (Included receipts from another Mens Store receipts to prove that I purchased identical items from another store) 10) XX/XX/19 - Chase ruled dispute in favor of the Merchant XXXX 11) XX/XX/19 - Appealed the decision, providing other supporting documentation to prove that it was a common practice in India to stamp "DELIVERED" in addition to "PAID". XXXX XXXX receipts did not have 'DELIVERED'12) Chase Declined the Appeal as well (Letter dated XX/XX/XXXX from Chase). I am still waiting to hear from the US XXXX on this matter for the amount of $XXXX.Proof that items were not collected:It is customary in XXXX for the stores to stamp 'DELIVERED' on the receipts when the items are collected. Without this stamp, the security guard at the entrance will not allow anyone to leave the store with the shop items. I sent few photos of receipts from various other purchases I had made in India as evidence of this practice. This will show you that I had NOT collected any of the items from XXXX I had paid for using my credit cards. The receipts from XXXX did NOT have this stamp. This indicates that I never picked up any of the items from store.Merchant is now claiming that I had collected the goods without providing proof that I collected the goods, as per the Representative from Chase.Even after appeal, Chase ruled in favor of Merchant when I have clearly shown that I did not collect the goods.I am a US Citizen and only traveled to India to purchase the items for my daughter's wedding. I hope you can help me resolve this issue.
