Complaint: I moved into an apartment called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and signed a lease with this apartments, sometime around when I moved out this apartments renamed themselves to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. after moving out the apartments said that I owed them money, which I don't agree but they say that I owed them a months rent, as well as late fees, and clean up fees. this amount they claim I owed was XXXX At some time after this they sold this debt to IQ Data International and this company repeatedly called me to collect this debt. Finally I got a lawyer to try and settle this debt, and they have sent a letter requesting an amount to pay, this amount includes interest, as well as a statement saying I would be charged annual interest at 6 %. I had never agreed to pay any interest to the apartment complex or IQ data systems. However the amount reflected on my credit report is much higher than the amount the apartment complex has said that I owe them. The IQ Data Intonational has apparently decided upon themselves to charge me interest as well as put this on my credit report, which is showing I owe around XXXX dollars which is well over the amount the apartment complex says that I owe as well above any amount this IQ data international company would be able to prove i owe with any debt validation letter or statement. They have just decided they can charge whatever they want without any legal basis. ( see attached files for the " debt validation '' as well as a statement from them ADMITTING they are charging me interest on a debt that's not legal for. also notice on my credit report they have reported an amount higher than the debt validation document that I have attached which is clearly an illegal practice by them ) Also I had disputed this debt with the credit agencies some time ago, and never received any documentation at that time or for months afterwards validating this debt, yet they have not removed the debt and have continued to call me to collect the debt. Also when they have called they have been quite rude and sarcastic. It is my complaint that they are breaking the law by placing on my credit report, as well as asking me to pay an about well over what they are entitled to, I have a letter from them saying they will charge me interest, which is not legal, and they have no legal basis to do this, yet they have done it. As well they have put on my credit report an amount well over the amount owed, which I can only assume is also some sort of interest penalty which is again not legal, was never agreed to and is a blatant disregard for state and federal laws which show this does not apply to an apartment complex contract.

Complaint: IQ Data contacted me verbally and by letter on XX/XX/2018 concerning apartment rental balance {$5800.00} I informed IQ Data due to my spouse and I being separated I was not responsible for the full amount that's owed. XXXX at XXXX offered me half the debt at {$2900.00} if I paid a {$500.00} down payment. This payment was made but did not receive a letter with change in balance nor updated amount at {$2400.00} to all Credit Bureaus as paying as agreed. When I asked for this agreement in writing I was told that all calls are recorded and that's all he could do at this time. I'm very uncomfortable and would like the balance to reflect to Credit Bureaus and receive a letter by mail.

Complaint: To start the apartment complex back in 2016 sent me paperwork with the wrong amount and wrong name listed. SO I tried to contact them to get this corrected and got no response. It then got sent to IQ data who I recently tried to communicate with to settle the account and was treated very poor. A manager by the name of XXXX XXXX cut me off and hung up on me, when I called back to ask for his manager I was advised there is no need to speak to different managers in regards to the account. I am trying to settle my account before I process my bankruptcy due to financial and medical hardship. The manager stated that this month out of the year is the lowest they are able to settle accounts for which makes no sense why it matters what month it is. Also when I was trying to explain my situation he spoke over me and told me they aren't scared of my threat of bankruptcy and hung up. I was not threatening anyone but trying to explain what ii am doing to try and settle an account.

Complaint: In 2015, while I was stationed in Alaska with the XXXX XXXX, I was given a directive by my chain of command and my commanding officer to move from my apartment in XXXX ( XXXX XXXX, where my " debt '' is allegedly from ) after my son was born, to which I gave notice to the apartment complex. We moved back onto XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2015, and my wife successfully closed out our apartment with the staff. We have been receiving telephone calls ever since from predatory collection employees, one of whom made threatening statements to my wife over the phone about damaging our credit reports, having 24 hours to pay the amount quoted to her on the phone, often from spoofed area codes mirroring ours. To this day I have never received paperwork pertaining to this supposed debt, and I PCSed to another state two years ago. My credit report is otherwise immaculate, but IQ Data International had other thoughts, I suppose.

Complaint: My wife & I are currently homeless. We are trying to find an apartment, a home, a mobile home.. anything.. but they all run a credit check.. As of XX/XX/XXXX a judgement has shown up from an eviction that happened 5-6 years ago. My wife went in my place to court regarding the eviction. She spoke with the judge & the attorney representing the apartment complex.. my wife explained our situation.. I was having a mental breakdown.. their attorney informed my wife if we were moved out within 10 days they would not file a judgement for the reminder of the lease. We were out before the 10 days was up.. Now there is a judgement on my credit file.. I have Never Ever been served. On XX/XX/XXXX at approximately XXXX EST I called the original creditor who said, call this number, I called that number & spoke with a woman who said I needed to call so & so at this number.. 5 calls later, 8 total, I was told to call their debt collection agency.. I called IQ Data International to set up a payment plan, but when I asked the female debt collector about the balance due, she said that she couldnt provide the balance information unless I gave her my bank account information and set up automatic withdrawals. After several minutes of going round & round, I explained that I know the laws regarding debt collection, seeing as I was a debt collector for 15 years. I finally got the balance of {$2600.00} but the original judgment on my credit report says {$2200.00}. The debt collector couldn't explain the discrepancies in the amount. When I suggested alternative methods of payment, the debt collector was rude and said that company only accepts payments on " its '' terms. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the debt collector told me that she was the supervisor and then threatened to mark my account as refused to pay, and threatened to take legal action against me! I explained I love in SSI & you can't garnish that. She claimed she can garnish anything, watch her!! When I said that I was willing to make a payment, but wasnt comfortable sharing my bank account information & would feel more comfortable mailing in a money order the debt collector hung up on me!!! IQ Data Internationalviolated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) by engaging in harassing behavior ; by using false, deceptive, and/or misleading representations or means in connection with debt collection ; by misrepresenting the character, amount, and legal status of a debt ; by threatening to take legal action without actually intending to do so ; and by employing false and deceptive means to collect a debt. IQ Data International violated my rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I am in the process of figuring out how to file subsequent claims with the Michigan Attorney General, the FTC, the CFPB, the XXXX XXXX XXXX & any other agencies that I can file a complaint with.

Despite XXXX XXXX receiving and signing for request for validation of debt letter on XXXX at the above address they have not sent validation of debt or any correspondence at all to me. They are attempting to use the address below on the credit report charge off which is not their legal address : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, WA XXXX However I have contacted them at their legal Washington State Department of Revenue License address for a small claims court case suing them for attempt to collect an invalid debt. I have received no response for debt validation or small claims court law suit. This is a FDCPA Violation because the debt collector refused to validate debt despite signature return certified mail validation request sent to their legal address [ 15 USC 1692g ] 809 ( b ) Another FDCPA Violation occured when the collections agency has ignored request to verify the debt yet has continue to collect by adding derogatory item to credit report E [ 15 USC 1692g ] 809 ( b ) I have not received any overdue notices in the mail from anyone which I can prove by USPS informed delivery. My USPS informed delivery subscription also proves that I have received no mail from XXXX XXXX XXXX or I.Q. DATA INTERNATIONAL, INC. all letters are scanned by image processing before delivery proving this company never sent any mail at all to my legal address.

Complaint: I received a call from I.Q Data in XXXX of XXXX about a debt owed for an apartment I used to rent in XXXX and moved out of in XXXX of XXXX. I received a letter from them that was sent out on XX/XX/XXXX stating I needed to pay {$330.00}. I called yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX when I came across the letter and tried to get a better understanding on the balance owed, especially 3 years later after moving out from the property. They could not give me any details about the balance and simply said it was for " an appliance repair ''. I looked at my " final walk through letter/form '' from the day I vacated the property and it didn't have a dollar figure of any appliance item being repaired. The only figures on the final move out certificate was {$90.00} for carpet cleaning & {$75.00} for 2 to 3 hour cleaning. I never received anything in the mail about this appliance repair with a balance owed and I definitely did not get my deposit back when I moved out from the property in XXXX of XXXX. So I am unsure as to why this is now being brought to my attention after 3 years. I made a payment yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, of {$290.00}, as I was promised the debt would be removed from my credit report immediately. I am requesting an investigation if possible. Please help!

Included within the 30 Day Notice we provided our newly purchased home address and a request for the balance of our account due for the apartment home we were renting. 3. Receipts for cleaning and repairs charged to us by XXXX Apartments following our move out date of XX/XX/2018 were NEVER provided to us. Not within the 21 Days after we vacated the apartment home and NEVER at anytime thereafter. The actual amount we owe ( d ), less cleaning and repair fees - since we never received copies of those receipts, is {$3700.00} NOT the {$4600.00} they demanded and not the {$4700.00} the IQ Data Collection Agency is demanding from us. We have documentation of all payments we made, correspondence with the Manager at XXXX Apartments, including correspondence of us trying to settle this account for the correct amount owed of {$3700.00}. The Manager at XXXX refused to correct his accounting errors and the correct payment owed. XXXX sold the debt to IQ Data Collection. We now have Negative marks with all 3 credit reporting agencies. This negative mark has resulted in us not qualifying for an auto loan or mortgage refi at lower interest rates.

XXXX XXXX received the cashier 's check and cashed it to settle my bill. When IQ Data contacted me, I explained the problem and sent them a copy of the cashier 's check but they ignored me. IQ Data 's problem is with XXXX XXXX not me. IQ Data reported this as a collection account even though it was paid. I feel they did this just to harass me. I have corrected this error with XXXX, XXXX and now I'm in the process of correcting it with XXXX. This should never have been reported to the credit bureaus.

Complaint: I moved out of my apartment after my lease was over due to the fact that I had complained repeatedly to the apartment about the roaches and trash all of which I have documentation for. As well as the trash in the stairs that resulted in my wife falling and nearly breaking her leg and going to emergency room. As a result of their incompetence we moved out. We were never evicted or taken to court or even received any notice whatsoever from a collection agency. Until today when it popped up on my credit report. I have never received a notice as required by the FCRA. I want this removed off of my credit report immediately or I will see you in court for violation of the FCRA law.

Complaint: XXXX from IQ Data International contacted us ( XX/XX/2019 at XXXX ) trying to ask about all of our personal information. My husband hung up on him and he called me back and told me I made my husband hang up bc I was in the background telling him not to give our personal info to someone we dont know. I asked for a bill and he refused and said if I didnt want to pay my debt then it would ruin my credit and I told him that I didnt say I wasnt paying it I asked for a bill, the entire time he kept talking over me and telling me how this was going on my credit report. He kept yelling and talking over me so I asked for a supervisor. XXXX XXXX came on the line and was still rude to me. She said if I wanted a bill I had to request it via mail and I said I never heard of it being done that way and she was just making me feel horrible because I said Ive never heard of someone asking you to pay a bill but wont send you a bill. I asked for the address and other info needed and when she told me my account number I asked if it was alphaneumeric because I couldnt tell if she was saying H or 8 and she was, you guessed it, rude. I asked my husband if he heard H and he agreed it sounded like H then I asked for the amount owed and she was rude again telling me that the amount today is less than the amount tomorrow. I asked her to confirm the amount of interest and again, rude. I understand theyre trying to collect a debt but I dont understand why theyre so incredibly rude about it from the start.
