Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: I signed a lease with XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX for one year. But, in XX/XX/XXXX my father-in-law said he would help us with a downpayment for a house and we were approved for a new construction house with a move-in date of XX/XX/XXXX. Per Delaware Law, if you are going to move into a house with full ownership, you can break your lease with a written request as long as you give 60 DAYS notice. So, on XX/XX/XXXX I informed XXXX XXXX in writing that we would be vacating the apartment on XX/XX/XXXX.
Written notice to break the lease was given with 68 Days notice!!! But, XXXX XXXX keeps insisting that I owe the rest of lease and the security deposit covered by XXXX.
XXXX XXXX sold the debt to HunterWarfield collection company to collect for {$2800.00} for rest of lease and also sold the XXXX debt to HunterWarfield as well for {$750.00}. They totally disregarded my email request to early term the lease on XX/XX/XXXX. I do have a copy of that written notice.

Frequent or repeated calls
Complaint: XX/XX/2017 XXXX - I called and talked to the Collection Agency - Hunter-Warfield in XXXX, Florida. This is a wrong amount that they are trying to collect and has put on our Credit Reports for Me ; My Son and Daughter were on the lease for XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Florida. The Management Company they are under is called XXXX XXXX.
When we moved out ; we had a bed bug infestation in the carpet and flea infestation. They did not listen to any of the complaints of the infestation ; and instead charged us extra for a carpet stain ; which the carpet already had small stains when we moved in.
Our next door neighbor moved out and they pulled up the carpet in her apartment and I believe the bed bugs and flees in her apartment came through the walls to our apartment.
These apartment buildings take no claim when they do wrong but like to pass on to the tenant for the problems the whole complex was dealing with.
I will pay {$400.00} but will not pay for carpet that was infested while we were there!!!
I want this collection removed from my Daughter 's, Son 's and My credit bureau file as this is causing problems of trying to get another home ; or buying a home!!!
They are still adding interest charges to a collection ; I believe they are not supposed to do that if it is in Collections making the collection larger and larger.!!!
THIS IS NOT RIGHT TO DO TO THE CONSUMER!!!
PLEASE CHECK INTO THIS FOR ME PLEASE!!!
HUNTER AND WARFIELD - XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.
XXXX, FL XXXX fax - XXXX telephone no. XXXX or XXXX!!!
Thank you for all your aid in this unscrupulous endeavor and behavior on behalf of the Apartment communities out here in the Country. Unethical Collection Practices on their tenants on move-out!!!
Financial Ruin of tenants to get other places to stay by putting on credit reports as open Collections!!!

Complaint: They call and call and call and never say anything then hang up. They been doing this for over a year. About a year and 1/2 ago we managed to talk to some rude person that said we ow money. They would not tell us for what. We told them they had the wrong people and had no idea what they were talking about. We asked them to send us the information on what makes them think it is us and they refused.
I would like to know where their office is and who is in charge and why they keep calling. I would love to meet them in person.

Debt was result of identity theft
Complaint: This company Hunter Warfield has been reporting a debt that they say that I owe for appx XXXX from I found this out around XXXX of this year ... I sent them a copy of my current lease on XX/XX/2018 along with a copy of my utility bill and other information and a copy of a signed affidavit of identity theft .... I requested that they remove this from their files permanently and delete it from all of the credit bureaus they have reported it too. I included a copy of a letter requesting an investigation of the information that they have according to section 623 et. seq. of the fcra and that was on XX/XX/2018 I have since not received any of that information and they continue to report this after I have provided them information that I was never at that address ... at this point as I understand it they have violated the fcra and this is my last effort before securing legal representation on this matter. as I understand that this is from a rental of a property that I do not live .... I have also provided this company with as much information as I can regarding my identity being stolen and the fraudulent addresses accounts, including utility, insurance etc ... that were fraudulently opened .... accounts and addresses that just came out of the blue ...

Debt is not yours
Complaint: I received notification that a collection for an amount not owed was placed on my credit by Hunter Warfield. In XX/XX/2015, my wife and I were looking at moving to XXXX from XXXX and we reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX was the rep, and she told us that they had an apartment that might meet our needs that would be coming up. We had specific concerns due to having dogs and we were not familiar with the area. We were told that she could hold the unit for us for a period of 10 days if we filled the application and paid a {$99.00} application fee ( please see emails below ). We paid the fee and came out the week before XXXX. We were not happy with the unit and decided not to move forward. We told the agent that same day but followed up with XXXX on the XXXX. We never heard anything afterwards until we received a letter from Hunter Warfield. We never signed a lease or agreed to anything beyond the application. Hunter Warfield has not sent us any proof of the debt other then invoices from XXXX XXXX XXXX. The invoices were created weeks after we decided against the apartment and they weren't signed by us. The email that I will attach will show that at no time were we told of any fees other then the credit application fee of {$99.00} that we paid.
The only proof that Hunter Warfield provided us after we disputed this was Internal Documents created by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. Most were created weeks after we decided against the apartment. I have attached all the documents that Hunter Warfield has provided us with and none of it was agreed to before hand. Hunter Warfield claims that they don't have to prove that we agreed to the charges. They simply wouldn't remove the debt because their client want us to pay this amount even though we didn't agree to it.

Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Complaint: Hunter Warfield damaged my credit by reporting a collections account related to an eviction that had nothing to do with me. I was never financially obligated to the apartment complex, XXXX XXXX, and had never signed lease documentation as anything other than a roommate. XXXX XXXX XXXX was solely financially responsible and he was evicted for failure to pay. Hunter Warfield has an obligation to possess and verify copies of signatures on lease documentation to ensure they are taking action against parties who are in fact liable for debt. They failed to do so and damaged my credit. I found out about this while applying for a mortgage. My credit score caused the interest rate offered to me to be significantly higher, thus costing me much more over the duration of the loan. This has been tremendously distressing and although actions are being taken to correct this information on my credit file, I am incurring additional expenses for transitional housing, a delay in closing, and the stress of having to start a new loan once this is resolved. This ha effectively displaced me. Hunter Warfield failed to do their due diligence and I have suffered multiple harms as a result. At this time I am awaiting for them to furnish me with copies of all paperwork they have on file from XXXX XXXX.

Complaint: Per my last complaint. This account has been in dispute with Hunter Warfield since XX/XX/2018. A certified dispute was mailed to the collection company multiple times requesting an itemized report of the alleged amounts owed and why. A copy of the lease has been received from Hunter Warfield, but this company has failed to comply by my request of an ITEMIZED report of WHAT is owed and WHY. A copy of the lease does not fulfil the request of an itemized report of the amounts owed and why. I have request this information because I was NOT evicted from this property. I do not feel that I am obligated to any amounts owed. Hunter Warfield has had over 120 days to provide proper verification of the amounts owed via the multiple disputes received regarding this account. Based on my last complaint, Complaint # XXXX-XXXX, a representative from Hunter Warfield was able to confirm that they have indeed received my request for verification of the amounts owed. They have not provided proper verification of the amounts owed. By law Hunter Warfield is obligated to provide the requested information within 30 days of the initial dispute. They are now breaking the law by keeping this inaccuracy on my credit report without providing me with the requested documentation. I do plan to use my rights under FCRA, to sue for deformation of character. Again, this is against the law. Attached is another copy of the notarized Dismissal from XXXX County Court house. Please DELETE this account. Balance owed is {$0.00}.
Thanks!
