Complaint: Being retired, I depend on interest I earn on balances I keep with online banks. I recently applied to open two online banking accounts, both paying 2.25 % p.a. interest. The first one, XXXX, turned me down and mailed me a 'Notice of Action Taken ' which I am attaching to this complaint. The Notice mentions that the Bank obtained my credit score from ChexSystems , Inc. and that my score is XXXX. My credit score having never been under 800 and currently hovering at XXXX has never been an issue, I was dumbfounded. I have several other online bank accounts. I have no debts or mortgages. Trying to contact ChexSystems proved impossible, but I was able to file a request for information after having indicated I had recently been refused. The letter that I have received from ChexSystems shows no reported information mishandled. I have now also been turned down for an online banking account by XXXX. I feel powerless as ChexSystems has ruined my chances to open these two accounts. It is fair to assume this will happen next time I try to open a bank account. Since there is no way to way to speak to a human at ChexSystem, the feeling of powerlessness is even stronger. I appeal to CFPB to contact ChexSystems and have it send corrected information to both banks mentioned so that my applications to open accounts may be approved. Thank you in advance. Complaint: I recently found out that my name was attached and associated with 3 consumer reporting agencies, XXXX XXXX, Chex Systems, and certegy. I have called certegy they have a check in the amount of XXXX that was wrote on XX/XX/2014, associated with my ID found this out while I went to XXXX to cash a check as I have been doing many years they cant verify an address on file NONE of the addresses i have given them is tied to me, I called early warnings they gave a bank account that was opened in 2014 with XXXX XXXX, I wasnt even in XXXX yet, I disputed this issue with them and they are saying its accurate and its not, I want my signature to be verified, and what ID and address was used, the same for Chex systems its so frustrating all of a sudden I cant cash checks at XXXX or XXXX due to fraudulent accounts Ive never wrote a check in my life and Ive NEVER had a XXXX XXXX account. I want this removed from my name, how is it even possible I got 2 different fraudulent items in 2 different cities I can ONLY be at one place at ONE time! I just want them to detach these accounts from reporting against me because they are NOT mines and I do not write checks let alone shop at target and never have I ever been declined to cash a check until recently. I want this fixed, its a negative on me and I do not like it especially since these accounts have nothing to do with me.

Complaint: On three occasions, I tried to open a savings account at XXXX XXXX XXXX branches located in XXXX, TX. The bank disapproved my application to open a basic savings account. The disapproval was solely communicated verbally and the bank refused to provide a written disapproval. The personnel I dealt with at XXXX XXXX XXXX stated that they chose not to open a savings account for me because I appear to be a XXXX. I contacted ChexSystems. According to my latest ChexSystems report, I have no overdrawn bank accounts. I filed numerous complaints against XXXX XXXX with governmental authorities. Recently I received a letter from XXXX XXXX stating that they disapproved my application for a savings account due to information received from ChexSystems. They provided a letter on ChexSystems letterhead stating that ChexSystems disapproved the account. The ChexSystems letter disapproved the account, but stated no reason for the disapproval.

Under the statue of limitations at CRA if there's no response and must be removed or it's a violation and can be sued each Bureau and collection of {$1000.00} fine. My area has rampant mail theft and common mail mix-ups. On the likely chance I do not receive this mail, I will not be able to unfreeze my credit with them, and a random stranger could do it instead. It is very insecure.

Complaint: I was a victim of identity theft, and there was a bank inquiry from XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/2018. That I'm trying to get removed off my credit report and XXXX file - that caused an incorrect address on my personal file to appear from this XXXX XXXX inquiry. I have tried calling XXXX XXXX branch where the inquiry came from. I called the branch more than one time to try and resolve this as well as the fraud hotline. Nothing has been resolved. I have supplied documentation of what is on my credit file. On XX/XX/18 when I talked with the XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX - XXXX, he says there is nothing that they can do on their end. I talked with XXXX XXXX, and XXXX ( Branch Manager ) to resolve this issue at : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX WA XXXX XXXX I want this issue resolved, want the inquiry removed off my credit report. Complaint: I had tried to open XXXX accounts, XXXX was business and XXXX was personal at XXXX XXXX, and also at XXXX XXXX. I was told by both banks that I am unable to open account today due to their system reporting back that I am showing up in their system, under CHEX SYSTEMS, and that I am bot able to open the account. I have never had this problem occur ever, and I also am aware that I DO NOT have an outstanding balance with any Bank or any Credit card company, in fact my credit score is above XXXX. I work for XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX as a XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX and maintain my credit and history is very important. I have had Identity Theft done to me in the past were I had notified all 3 Credit Companies, Social Security Office, WA DMV, Federal Trade Commission about Identity Theft and How I was a victim of it. I had also filled out ID theft Victim Document and notarized it to provide to all the company 's as well. Their were credit cards and many credit inquiry 's that were happening to my account which I was unaware of. Some one was using my identity. I had then noticed that their was an account opened with XXXX XXXX under my name which I never was aware of and never did I open this account or authorize anyone to open it on behalf. Their were transactions happening on that account and someone was actually using it as a bank. I immediately contacted the bank and notified them of the situation and sent in all the documents, and instead I was told that this is false and they do not believe me. I had then checked again 2 months later and then their was an account under XXXX opened recently under my name, and prior to that their was XXXX account opened some time back as well. I then again filled a police report and filled ID theft. I called XXXX XXXX left a message several times and never heard back. I also notified 3 credit company 's about this issue and they replied within a timely manner. It has been one thing after another, XXXX bank finally resolved the issue and took me off their system, but I am still showing at Check Systems and it shows that Washington XXXX had sent over a complaint against me to put me under check systems, but I never banked with XXXX XXXX and I did contact XXXX XXXXl and let them know that along with Check systems but nothing has seemed worked and has only caused problems. I would like to have my name removed from Check Systems as I never opened an account with XXXX XXXX or XXXX or XXXX, I bank with only XXXX XXXX and have been since 2004. I need check systems to remove my name off the list as son as possible so I can bank with other banks and not have a problem. Thanks in advance.

I was told I am not qualified to open an account due to what XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX had REPORTED to CHEXSYSTEMS and to the credit companys. As soon I was notified of this information I knew it was incorrect and as I am a victim of Identity theft and I have gone through similar problems I knew that this was not me and I had Never banked with XXXX XXXX XXXX or XXXX I have been with XXXX XXXX since XX/XX/2004 and my home mortgage is also through them and I continued to stay with them. I had contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX Immediately via phone and I received NO HELP at all in fact I was told an Attorney can contact them if I thought this was Fraudulent. I then went into the Bank at XXXX XXXX in XXXX WA ( new location ) and submitted all my documents which included ID Theft Affidavit, Police Report, Credit Freeze showing proof that my credit is on freeze and alert, Social Security Letter showing that I notified SSA, Federal Trade Commission Report and more. I was rejected again and again. I also went into XXXX and gave them all the documents, told them I never banked with them and someone is using my Identity. I was ignored and no one helped. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX Employee ( XXXX ) for XXXX as a XXXX XXXX XXXX and my credit, my Identity and my value and worthiness is very important to me. I have had continues ID theft and its very hard for me to stop this without any help even after submitting countless amounts of documents. I am very tired of this and need XXXX XXXX XXXX and also XXXX to please remove me off their ChexSystems and also notify Chexsystems that this is an error on their end.
