Debt is not mine
Complaint: i lived in la mirage apartments in XX/XX/XXXX with another person name XXXX XXXX. when we moved out he gave them his forwarding address. they sent him that we owe {$590.00}. i wasnt aware of that.in XX/XX/XXXX i got a call from FCO saying i owe {$590.00}, i told them that that 's the first time i hear about it and that i can pay my half and they would have to contact XXXX for the other half. i asked if itll show on my credit report and they said no if i pay it. they did end up putting it on my report as " settled amount paid less then original amount '' .its been on my credit report for 5.5 years already. i sent them over 20 letters and called them more then 10 times. theyve been nothing but rude and hang up the phone on me saying there 's nothing they can do and " why am i calling you already paid us '' .i sumbit a compliant with the FTC and the company 's response was that they listened to the recordings from their orignall call 5.5 years ago and that they didnt promise me it wont be on my report. i called them today XX/XX/XXXX and asked for the reecording and they hang up the phone on me. i called again and asked for a manager and after 30 min on hold he told me i can send you a letter that you paid and you owe us {$0.00}. when i told him i do n't need that i need a deletion letter or a copy of the recording so i can give it to my lawyer he hung up the phone on me again. i dont know what else to do with this company. they are the only collection account i have on my report and they 're messing up my credit when i dont deserve it.

Debt is not mine
Complaint: I was forced to move out of an apartment complex due to repeated issues of non compliance by the management and owner of the building - including but not limited to mold, unlawfully towing personal vehicles, and not abiding by their terms of the lease to provide an adequate place to live. I notified the owner in writing that I would not pay one month 's rent for the partial last month I resided there - due to them breaking the lease, and the need for me to obtain proper housing for my family. I did have a deposit on this unit, and did forfeit that deposit upon move out. A collection agency ( FAIR COLLECTIONS AND OUT XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MD XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX ) has contacted me and is reporting against my credit for a balance due that I do not owe. I have contacted my local and state representatives for assistance, and filed a dispute to this collection agency, however to date they are still negatively and inaccurately reporting and collecting against me.

Right to dispute notice not received
Complaint: To who it may concern : In XXXX 2016, I submitted a employment background investigation, and was informed I had collection accounts on my credit report. To my surprise, I was un aware of this debt, nor did I receive notice from the collection agency. Even to this day, I make them send things via email, because I do not receive mail. I immediately contact the agency to make payment arrangements and paying right away. Previous, I spent a year address things on my credit report. There should n't have been anything outstanding or negative. I was in dispute of the debt, however had to clear debt to complete clearance. Now, that I am down to the final payment of the debt, I was informed by XXXX of the credit reporting agency to have the debt removed it would have to come for the collection agency. I am requesting to have this debt removed because I was not contacted and given time to dispute this debt. It is impacting my negatively. Preventing me from being able to provide essential living things for my daughter and myself. The collection agency does report when payments are made, I have to continuously call in. Thanks in advance.

Debt is not mine
Complaint: In line with the multiple unethical credit reporting complaints as identitied via the internet, since the beginning of this year I have been disputing an account from Fair Collection and Outsourcing ( FCO ) -creditor XXXX in in the amount of XXXX dollars which has been placed on CRAs XXXX , XXXX , and XXXX. As well as receiving a threatening/harassing phone call from a gentleman customer service representative - once @ XX/XX/XXXX and another in XX/XX/XXXX, in which I still confirmed my dispute the account is not mine.
I recently did a direct contact and phone calls with the client ( XXXX ) on this account you and the supervisor at that location informed me that they do " not '' have any records annotating the {$3100.00} amount FCO reported to the CRAs. Also documented. This information pose illegal reporting from FCO and under my credit rights and I 'm requesting investigation on the FCO company and my actual account and this inorrect information permanently deleted from my CRA reports XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I 'm also concerned and request investigation of FCO 's document replication of account ledgers ( false documentation ) from the actual creditor. This false reporting is currently hindering my employment associated with credit requirements ( position with clearances ), as well my quality of life and pursuit of the American dream. I recently filed a complaint via XXXX where this company 's rating is graded an XXXX, and received the complaint results stating after multiple attempts of communication from XXXX with FCO, FCO failed to respond to XXXX regarding my complaint. They also informed me to pursue this company with an attorney and/or CFPB. Again, I have also filed another dispute with FCO compliance officer via email, as well as via the CRAs. This company has created havoc on thousands of law abiding citizens and should be seriously investigated and fined.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX, XXXX I requested validation from FCO regarding collection account reported on my credit report dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX.

There is a " New Charges '' section reflecting {$1300.00}, with no itemization of these charges. Additionally, there is a {$750.00} " Damages '' charge ; however a Damage Assessment was not provided.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: The collection agency are attempting to falsely collect a debt I do not owe by damaging my credit report. I requested for debt validation including all receipts and copies of any bills I am being charged but to no avail. I am also being charged for staying over my least from XXXX/XXXX/2015 to XXXX/XXXX/2015 but I have proof that my new lease at my current residence was signed on XXXX/XXXX/2015 which proves I moved week before my lease ended. This inaccurate credit reporting has caused serious damages to lifestyle.

Debt resulted from identity theft
Complaint: I was contacted by Fair Collections & Outsourcing several years ago about ( XXXX ) accounts that they claimed belonged to me and stemmed from the rental of an apartment at XXXX in XXXX, GA. The collection agency placed these accounts on my credit file at that time. I contacted the agency t make them aware that this was as a result of identity fraud, completed a fraud affidavit packet and also forwarded a copy of my police report that detailed the fraud. At that time several years ago the accounts were removed from my credit file. Just recently I found that Fair Collections & Outsourcing re-reported these accounts even though I had gone through the process of completing the affidavit, and providing the police report. They improperly and re-inserted a previously resolved claim. I have notified them again that these were previously resolved and addressed and they claimed to have no knowledge of that but they were removed from my credit files several years back. This is an ongoing fraudulent attempt to collect a debt that they know fully well I do n't know. When I caled most recently to try to discuss the representative told me that even though it had been deleted and previously resolved the original creditor had decided to continue to collect it and that that had to honor their clients request even if it was a fraudulent account.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: A little less then 6 years ago I lived in XXXX in XXXX XXXX, ca with my roommate XXXX XXXX. When we moved out he gave them his mail forwarding address and I did n't have one at the time. We left them our {$700.00} deposit. After couple of months I received a phone call from FCO stating that me and guy owe {$590.00}. I explained them I have n't received any bills or phone calls from them and I 'm willing to pay my half and they can collect the other half from guy. They promised me that if I pay my half they wo n't report it to the credit bearus. After couple of months I saw that they did report it to my credit bearus as " settlement amount paid less then amount owed ''. If I would 've known I would 've paid them the other half too just so it wo n't be on my report. I called then and send them over 10 letters and offered to pay the other half but they 've been nothing but rude stating " it is what it is deal with it ''. Very very rude customer service they treat you like you 're a criminal.

Debt was paid
Complaint: This company added a collection to all XXXX credit bureau 's for a debt I DO NOT owe. I have contacted the company and asked for proof the support these charges and have gotten no response. ( see attached letter and fax confirmation ).
These charges that FCO is attempting to collect stem from a 1 year rental agreement ( XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX ) with their client XXXX XXXX XXXX. At the end of my 1 year contract I chose not to renew my lease because the renewal rental rate was far greater that market rate for the home and area so I submitted my notice to vacate and moved XX/XX/XXXX. The house and carpets were professionally cleaned and the house was left in good repair when I moved out. I requested an exit walk thru appointment was told by XXXX this was not necessary and they would contact me if there were concerns to be addressed. I heard nothing further from XXXX so I assumed everything was fine until a few months ago when this collection showed up on all XXXX credit bureau files. The collection agency ( FCO ) sent me a letter and a ledger of charges from XXXX which made up the balance they were collecting and I was literally dumbfounded. I am being charged for an increase in rent for XX/XX/XXXX which reflects the renewal rate even though I was still contracted at the rate of {$1300.00} per month. I am being charged rent for XX/XX/XXXX at the renewal rate when I my lease has already ended and I had moved out. I am being charged for General Maintenance to make repairs ( what does that even mean? ), for weed spray applied to the yard, dryer vent cleaning, repainting the ENTIRE house, and the list goes on and on. Under NC law ALL the things they are charging me for and attempting to collect fall under reasonable wear and tear. I have asked for proof of the necessity of these repairs as proof of damage beyond reasonable wear and tear and defined by NC statue and have gotten no reply.

Complaint: I was contacted by Fair Collections and Outsourcing inc.by phone that I owed XXXX $ to XXXX XXXX XXXX owned by XXXX XXXX on XXXX XXXX. 40 days after my lease ended at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX IN XXXXon XXXX XXXX. No prior notice of any money owed was sent during this time prior to the phone call. XXXX collections explained the amount owed was for unknown late fees, unknown damages, XXXX $ unexplained and XXXX $ described as electric re-billing. I was never offerd a final walkthrough inspection of the apartment to check damages. The Electricity was never included in my lease and was my responsibility not XXXX XXXX to pay. After 15 years leasing from this company I am surprised that I was turned over to a collections agency threatening my credit score and rental history without notice and so quickly. On the day my lease ended I was returning my keys ; the Offices of XXXX XXXX in XXXX Indiana were closed. This includes, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX.
