Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: XX/XX/2018 Fair Collections & Out Acct # XXXX To Whom It May Concern : Please be advised that I have received your correspondence .This is not a refusal to pay or a cease notice, but a notice that your claim of monies owed is disputed. According to the FDCPA you must validate a debt to a debtor if the debtor responds to your primary notice within a matter of days.
Under the FDCPA and according to recent findings with the Federal Trade Commission, you must send valid proof of this debt and a printout of records is not valid. See FTC.gov staff attorney opinion findings for details. Please dont send back a print out. The proof requested is as follows : Date you purchased debt Amount you paid for said debt Original Date of Charge Off Date of last payment/activity if any Creditors full name and address All records pertaining to actual debt to prove validity.
If you can not produce such proof after I have put you on notice then I reserve the right to file a suit against you for FDCPA violations in my courts venue. You will have to travel to defend yourself in that scenario.
Please also be advised that this request is an official validation of debt request and not a verification of address request. Proper proof of said debt is required. Please understand as well that under the FCRA any furnisher of information must put the account rating on hold while the debt is being investigated. Continuing to report this disputed debt to my credit reports is a FCRA violation also open to damages collected from you.
Awaiting your reply in a timely manner.

Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: Last year in XX/XX/XXXX someone broke into my apartment with no sign of forced entry. No one had a key to my apartment but me and it was ironically the same day that their maintenance workers had to come to my apartment to fix something. I automatically assumed it was the maintenance worker considering the facts and the condition of my apartment. And I had been hearing from the neighbors that the maintenance people over there do that a lot. I spoke with the property manager and was informed I could break my lease. She told me I could move immediately or put in a 60 day notice which I chose to do to have time to find another apartment. I then filed a police report and a detective got involved and came to speak with everyone in the office. They then got mad and tried to find a reason to attempt to put me out. They had their lawyer first send me a letter saying I had 14 days to vacate the property for violating my lease, by causing a nuisance on the property, which never happened. I went and spoke with an attorney and was informed the letter was basically a threat and I did not have to vacate. I can let them take me to court and they would have to prove I violated my lease. Of course that never happened. I paid my rent for XX/XX/XXXX as stated in the 60 day notice I would be responsible for XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX rent. Then come XX/XX/XXXX, after still going back and forward with me about vacating the premises after their attorney sent me that letter, I attempted to pay XX/XX/XXXX rent. They blocked me from being able to pay my rent via XXXX XXXX and online. I immediately called the office and informed I was unable to pay my rent as I kept getting an error message. I saved the screen shot of the message I was getting as well as a copy of the XXXX XXXX I filled out to pay my rent. I was told by the assistant property manager, XXXX XXXX, that they could not except in money from me, they just wanted me to turn in my keys and vacate before the evict me through court. Again, I spoke with another attorney who informed me I did not have to vacate I could let them try to evict me through court. So on XX/XX/XXXX they come putting a late notice on my door saying my rent was late and if not paid immediately they would be taking me to court for possession of property. Needless to say that never happened either. I ended up turning my keys in and moving out at the end of XX/XX/XXXX which was the agreement anyway from my day notice. During this time I also was speaking back and forth with a lady named, XXXX XXXX from the corporate office who also told me since they turned the case over to their attorney they could not accept any more money from me and that all they wanted me to do was vacate their property. Upon leaving, I gave them my forwarded address and never receive anything from them regarding a court date, my security deposit or anything. Then about 2 months later I get a letter from the collection agency saying I owe {$710.00}. And like I stated before I have all the proof and evidence that I tried to pay for XX/XX/XXXX and they would not allow me and told me they didnt want it.

Attempted to collect wrong amount
Complaint: Fair Collections & Outsourcing, known as FCO.
FCO had previously tried to collect an amount of {$220.00} from me without proof. That amount has changed to {$76.00} still without proof of that amount being correct.
I have requested validation of debt from FCO several times now at least 4. They have refused to send it. Validation of debt had also been requested in XXXX, XXXX and again in XXXX and FCO failed to provide it each time. FCO has sent a notice of the debt to each of the consumer reporting agency, the notice of the debt must be removed since they did not provide validation of the debt.
FCO has NOT shown they have the right to collect the ALLEGED debt.
FCO has NOT shown the ALLEGED debt is mine.
FCO has NOT shown the amount is accurate.
In fact, I have documentation proving that the amount is not accurate. So, I don't know how they could possibly claim they have proven it to be accurate.
XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and XXXX XXXX of FCO have repeatedly failed to follow federal law, as outlined in the The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ).

Complaint: I moved out of XXXX XXXX XXXX which was managed at the time by XXXX XXXX ( creditor ) at the end of XX/XX/XXXX. Around XX/XX/XXXX I started receiving calls from the collection agency regarding a debt which I knew nothing about. I requested documentation to verify the debt in which I was told I would need to contact the apartment complex. I did this and still never received this documentation. Out of fear that this would go on my credit report, I settled with the collection company but I was told at the time that if I settled, it would not be reported. Fast forward to now, I pull my credit report and this collection is on my report. I have called the collection agency and requested that this be removed from my credit report but I have been denied this request. Also, one male representative or manager in particular that I've spoken with twice has been extremely rude and actually called me a " liar ''. Honestly, this collection agency should not even be in business Their business practices are unethical and their employees are beyond rude which can be seen just by reading reviews on this agency via the web. I have also tried to contact the creditor in which I was told to email someone by the name of XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX but nothing happened and I did not receive a response.

Debt is not yours
Complaint: Fraudulent Account # XXXX. I have sent numerous Debt Validation letters and none have came back as Validated. The police report and complaints were filed extremely late because I did not have knowledge that this account was on my credit report until XX/XX/XXXX nor did I know that I could report my stolen social security cards and birth certificates to the police department. I also didnt know about submitting identity theft to the federal trade commission at that time which is why that complaint wasnt submitted until XX/XX/XXXX. In the summer of XX/XX/XXXX I was issued new social security cards and birth certificates due to my private information of property being stolen. I have also recently again submitted complaints to the Police department, XXXX XXXX XXXX and Federal Trade Commission if documentation is needed.

Debt was paid
Complaint: I have been in communication with FCO. They are very uncooperative and make things very confusing, on purpose. We had make an arrangement for a debt to be settled as in full. Payment was made and cleared. Now they will just report as a settlement and not in full as they stated in their email.
This company is very unethical and uses words to confuse the average consumer. I am very unhappy with their sneaky ways.
The payment was made from two accounts on XX/XX/XXXX and cleared both accounts on XX/XX/XXXX. Attached is the communication between FCO and myself.
