Complaint: For personal reasons I left the home in which I was paying for internet. Almost a year later in XX/XX/XXXX I was given the equipment back to return, which I did. After sending it back I was assured that the outstanding balance ( {$270.00} ) would decrease with the the receipt of the equipment and would also erase from my credit history. A month later in XX/XX/XXXX I checked to make sure they received the equipment while I was still getting calls from the collection agency ( Diversified Consultants ). I was told that the case would be escalated in 48 hours and nothing happened. I kept calling them over the course of months wondering what happened to the equipment. Then in XX/XX/XXXX I was on the phone with an XXXX manager who finally said that there was a missing piece of information on the equipment as it was lost the entire time! So there was never a chance to get the bill lowered to the correct amount.The XXXX manager explained to me to just pay off the amount as I was trying to buy a house and to dispute it afterwards. I received a paid in full letter from XXXX. I believe that this debt, which was promised would decrease to the correct amount, is wrong. In addition the missing equipment that I returned is no longer in my possession and was misplaced by XXXX which led to the delinquency in my credit report. I am seeking to have it deleted as the debt was paid with harm to only myself.

Complaint: Several months ago I was contacted by a collection agency acting for XXXX XXXX, trying to collect on an account. I have never had an account with XXXX XXXX or any of their affiliates, and when I asked what it was about, they told me it was for cable tv service at an address I have never resided at. They entered a fraud report, and advised me they were returning the file to XXXX as " Fraud ''. Yesterday, XX/XX/2019, I learned that another Collection Agency, Diversified Consultants, of XXXX, Florida, filed a " Collection '' report against me with XXXX, claiming an unpaid bill of {$450.00}. I had no idea what this concerned, so Icalled them to find out what it was about. An employee, who identified herself as XXXX XXXX, with whom I spoke, told me XXXX had retained them to collect on the same claim previously determined ( and, apparently agreed by XXXX ) to be fraud. When I asked them why they filed a Collection report using their name as creditor, I was told that " we are only acting for XXXX, it is not our account. '' This is incorrect, as in that case, XXXX should be substantiating their claim ( which they never validated or verified the last time around ). Diversified gave me XXXX XXXX number, and I called them and told them the same story, that this is not my account, I have never had an account with them, and have never resided at the place where the service supposedly was. They told me they were sending me a fraud package to complete, and that I would have to go to the police department and file a police report. I do not live in the suburb where the supposed claim exists, have no knowledge of this matter, and told them that I would send them their requested Sworn and Notarized Fraud form, but I did not have the time to go to the police department to file a report, did not know which police department to file it with, and would provide them with every thing else, including an Affidavit. I also advised them that I was upset that their collection agency had wrongfully filed a Collection with XXXX. Within two hours ( I have the ability to monitor my credit files ), I learned that XXXX responded by filing ANOTHER Collection claim with XXXX. Again, they have not verified or validated their claim, should have information in their file from previous attempts to collect this verifying that the claim is fraudulent. The filing of the second Collection with XXXX is clearly retaliation for my complaining to them about repeated attempts to collect on an obviously fraudulent account.

Complaint: Please be advised that I am writing this letter to enter a complaint to bring attention to Diversifed Consultant s unscrupulous business practice. I have never been contacted by Diversified Consultants in any way shape or fonn by phone or by mail ever, most recently I noticed that they have added a collection to my credit file at XXXX. I have had a previous agreement with XXXX and have paid the balance in full. I have disputed this with the credit agency, and have called diversified and spoke with a XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX to infom1 them of this. They are attempting to collect a debt that is already paid in full and have erroneously updated a negative report on my credit file. Please investigate this matter and have this corrected. Thank you for your immediate attention.

The collection was from Diversified Consultant ( XXXX ) with the original creditor is XXXX. I'm confident that I've had an account with XXXX. I contacted both Diversified Consultant and XXXX but the issue was not resolve. I would like to ask for the support from Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as this issue will negatively affect my financial credit. Also, additional information, this is a repeat issue. It happened to me in XX/XX/2016. I called XXXX to report the issue and I never heard back from them. At that time, i thought it was resolve because it hasn't shown up in my account or I've never back from them.

Complaint: I had a XXXX bill that was fraudulently obtained in my name. I ultimately had the collection removed and deleted from my credit reports. The collection agency that removed the debt was XXXX collection agency after concluding that I did not open this account and it did not belong to me. Diversified Consultants has placed the collection back on my reports without notifying me and without giving me the opportunity to dispute the debt, XXXX informed me that they did NOT place a collection with Diversified Consultants and to dispute the collection. Had Diversified Consultants properly validated the debt according to the FDCRA they would have known the debt is a result of fraud.
