Complaint: My Discover Card was illegally billed unauthorized charges totalling over {$3000.00} by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I informed Discover timely ( within 2 weeks before it was too late to make a complaint ), and gave Discover all information from the insurance dept who caught this dishonest dentist overbilling and illegally charging my card. I also sent the court documents showing that I won my case in court against this dishonest orthodontist. Discover, refuses to credit back these unauthorized fraudulent charges and Discover has refused to give me the regulatory agency for the Discover bank and the legal New York State address for service of legal papers to their CEO XXXX XXXX, to serve papers to sue for the charges to my Discover card they are refusing to credit back. When I call the woman in the office told me " XXXX XXXX is too big to sue '' and hangs up on me, refusing all legal information I am requesting. I ask that your FDIC agency assist me in either getting my credits from the illegal unauthorized fraud charges to my Discover Card and the legal address for service for XXXX XXXX, CEO - Discover. Complaint: I purchased cell phone charging cables from an on-line vendor. Within 3 weeks they all stopped working. I contact the vendor, via email, and they promptly told me to return them, they would test them and either send them back or replace them. So i did. After the cables were sent back I sent XXXX separate emails telling the vendor that the cable were on they 're way and to let me know if there was any issues. I never got another reply from this vendor. I requested Discover Card to refund my money and have been denied several times. What ever happened to the " Customer is always right ''? Discover has refused to entertain the fact the vendor is lying and had never intended to replace the cables.

Complaint: I complained once already ~ I heard from XXXX XXXX at Discover Student Loans on XX/XX/XXXX. I have not yet once been able to contact her. ( What a joke. ) She does n't actually ever answer her phone. She told me to call the forbearance department. The XXXX time, back in late XXXX, they told me I had to wait until my payment was almost due on XXXX XXXX. I called back today and the guy was explaining that my payments will be larger - almost trying to scare me out of doing a lower payment plan for 6 months. This seems outrageous - what kind of financial help is this? I did understand that they are refusing to extend the terms of the loan. *BUT* they gave me *FALSE INFO* from the beginning and I promise you a rep there told me I could do income based repayment back in Fall XX/XX/XXXX before I signed up with them. But they do n't have a recording -- they do n't care. They are not losing anything in their eyes. All I needed was an estimate of what my loan will look like month-to-month after I go on a reduced payment plan and the guy, XXXX, I believe, he said " Sorry we do n't do that. '' Is that customer service? No, that is pathetic. That is what that is. They care very little. This is called financial slavery. And I could re-finance with another company but get the same exact rates and then destroy my husband 's credit score with a large loan like that. Outrageous - I basically went to college so I could be in financial prison. I can barely afford to pay for my housing and food when I 'm paying $ XXXX/month on student loans - what the heck was the point of college? WHAT A JOKE. Do n't ever sign up for private loans ever!

Complaint: Discover Card on XXXX XXXX called regarding a missed payment. I spoke with the representative ( name unidentified ) and informed her that a payment will be made on XXXX XXXX. Do not withdraw any moneys from my account. Not only did the representative automatically deducted moneys from my account for the payment causing other bills to " bounce '', she also went in and authorized automatic monthly withdrawal commencing XXXX. At no time did I approve or authorized such actions. It was not until I went to see if specific check " cleared, '' did I become aware of the action of Discover CSR. I called on XXXX XXXX to file a complaint regarding the action of that particular CSR of XXXX XXXX. The CSR of XXXX XXXX was named XXXX. XXXX transferred me to XXXX that wanted to refund my payment. I agreed for it to remain due to the fact that my checking account was already overdrawn due to the Discover withdrawal and the account to be paid payment " bounced. '' I believe this is a practice of Discover. This is the XXXX time in XXXX years that Discover 's representative fails to " listen '' and do exactly what they chose on these account upon calling the customer. XXXX removed the automatic payment.

Complaint: I applied for a checking account with Discover - twice now - and XXXX times the application was denied. During repeated telephone conversations Discover insists that A ) The decision to deny my application was made XXXX, not merely based on information furnished XXXX but ultimately made by Discover, B ) there is no way to manually review the application and grant an exception ... that it 's a system controlled process that is completely automated with no manual review possible and C ) It is not possible to provide a list of SPECIFIC reasons why the application was denied. I have been a Discover customer for many years now and this utter lack of concern and the pitiful customer service is very disheartening. Furthermore, on the more recent try, there is no record of a XXXX inquiry so the assertion that the decision was based on that is an outright lie.

Complaint: I opened a discover credit card five years ago. During these five years, I used this card for a lot of things they promise to give cash back to : food, gas, clothing. I have earned XXXX dollars of cashback and have never redeemed them. I have been paying my bills every month on time. In XXXX 2014, they suddenly closed my card said it 's some kind of business decision. Then I called them to ask for my cash back, that 's XXXX dollars cash back .They first told me that they are going to send the cashback in check to me. I waited and waited but never received it. I called again, they said they are going to send it, then I waited for another two months. But no check came. Then they told me that they decide to forfeit my cashback since my card is closed already. I earned these cash back XXXX dollar by XXXX dollar for about five years and planed to use this money for my travel plan this year. Discover just do n't want to give my money back.

Complaint: I have applied with Discover credit card on several occasions using the pre qualify link. Once you enter your information it comes back and says personalized offer for you. I have then completed the application to see if I qualify. The message then comes up denied. I then had a friend apply who has a much lower credit score than me and it still came back as this is the personalized offer for you. Once they applied it came back as not approved. I feel that discover is just getting people to apply while they already know the person will not be approved. This causes hard inquiries to post to individual 's credit file.

Complaint: Discover student loans services my private student loan from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I made a payment on XX/XX/XXXX and it cleared my bank on XX/XX/XXXX. But I continued to get late notices including XXXX phone calls and XXXX letters overall stating I could have the late notice reported to a credit history company. After a phone call and further e-mails the payment was finally applied on XX/XX/XXXX. To avoid further issues I applied over the phone for auto debit payments for this loan. I got a letter stating my auto debit application was being processed. XXXX weeks later I e-mailed Discover Student Loans to confirm the status of my auto debit payment but was told the did not have any of the information needed for the auto debit process ( banking account number ). This program offers a 0.25 % interest rate reduction which I will be missing out on for at least another XXXX months due to this delay.

Complaint: This is my XXXX complaint about actions of the Discover bank and account that I used to have in the past with them. My XXXX complaint was about disrespectful attention and harassment at work settings by hired attorney XXXX. I currently contacted the Executive office of Discover Financial Services. When my card stopped working at different places I requested to change my account and resend me a new card. They had changed my account and resended me a new card that I had never got in mail. I requested to to resend it again and no one respond me so far. Yesterday came to my work woman from Discover and its financial collection agency. I pay the card XXXX a month I requested to have online account ot save XXXX on money order and stamps they have n't bill me, I have n't received any paper statement with address of payment and the XXXX stands up too high payment based on my current income its over XXXX. I think everything is unrealistic. They also reported to the credit buraue I think that I do not have access to internet and card account to make payment. They just want to mess my credit and stopped all communications with me based on I believe racial discrimination of XXXX collection agency of my employment supporting XXXX of XXXX with prove of that card belongs to them and they will pay it off when will hire me. I am against of unwanted employment and actions that XXXX is taking for my personality discriminating me against desired employment and income and other factors which are happened with Discover financial at work settings. Please advise what I can do in that case. I mail payment but do not know if they are accepted and why they ca n't send me temporary card with online account or monthly statements with confirmation of my payments. I had never got the replaced card in mail and other mailings as well, only discrimination at work by XXXX agency hired to collect the debt. Please advise.

Complaint: I applied for refinance with XXXX XXXX XXXX, rep was XXXX XXXX NMLS # XXXX ( XXXX, CA ) in XXXX 2015. Simple transaction. Company took two ( 2 ) months to process, did n't respond to questions, kept getting bounced around to several people during underwriting without any explanation, kept asking for repeated documentation proving income, which I provided. Documentation exceeded any reasonableness, something was n't right with their procedures and processes. I kept having to threaten to cancel the application and go elsewhere, then Discover rep would call and last minute and say everything was ok and not to worry, while time was wasting away when I could have gone elsewhere. XX/XX/XXXX rep XXXX told me all documents were ok and I was approved and to set closing date and asked to be put in touch with my closing agency. Then the rep and company people involved went missing again, no response to emails, meanwhile my intent to close in XXXX was at risk with fixed rate. I sent dozens of emails over course of three weeks. Company then mass emailed me and other consumers saying the Company had " ceased '' lending operations ( went out of business ) but would process my loan as I was already in the system. But, then rep then called that same day and said my application would n't be processed. Insanity. This is the most inept company I 've ever dealt with in my experience in mortgage lending, absolutely disgraceful experience. Total mismanagement. I would avoid having any business with " Discover '' if in the company name. The company and reps should be reprimanded for their poor and sloppy performances in providing service. Company still owes me refund for {$400.00} for appraisal.
