Complaint: I transferred a balance in XXXX XXXX to Discover Card services with a promotional 0 % interest rate until XXXX XXXX. The card also gave me a 0 % interest on new purchases until XXXX XXXX. In my agreement it stated that all payments would be applied with the majority going to the promotion that had the higher interest rate or in the case that was the same the one that would expire first. They instead applied the majority of my payments to the balance transfer that is not due until XXXX XXXX paying it almost in full while the purchases have accrued to more than what the original balance transfer was. I have statements from the CC company showing this and my original agreement. Instead of my payments being equally distributed or majority going to the new purchases as described by Discover, they have forced me to either pay off the new purchases in the amount of $ XXXX by XXXX XXXX, XXXX and leave the original balance transfer that was under {$1300.00} that they have paid down to $ XXXX and was n't even due until XXXX XXXX. Very unethical practice to force me to pay 25 % interest on something I was paying on monthly so I would not have a large balance to pay off in XXXX XXXX. I find this practice deceiving and verging on deceitful to change a 0 % interest into 25 % interest. BEWARE of Discover!

Complaint: Discover card is reporting a negative account that I was previously listed as an authorized user on. As an authorized user I am not responsible for the account in any way, yet they are damaging my credit. I have called them to dispute the account and requested them to remove it, but all they tell me is that I 'm no longer listed on the account so there is n't anything they can do about it. They placed it on my credit, but refuse to remove it. According to section 603 of the FCRA, only information on credit issued to a consumer is allowed. If you are an authorized user, you do not fall under these categories, you are not responsible for the debt and did not receive credit.

Qualify for a better loan than offered
Complaint: I was unlawfully discriminated by Discover Student Loans.
I am a co-signer for my sons attending a public university in Maryland.
The announced XXXX student loan rates today are starting with 3.49 % ( as announced at https : //www.discover.comXXXX ). I have a stable income above average and exceptional credit score XXXX ( exceptional credit score, as defined at XXXX ). However, Discover Student Loans generate the interest rate 4.99 %, that is 1.5 % above the announced best rate 3.49 %.
Suspecting a mistake, I called to Discover student Loans and takled to 4 employees : 1. XXXX - representative 2. XXXX - representative 3. XXXX XXXX - supervisor 4. XXXX, emp. # XXXX - sr. supervisor These employees and supervisors at Discover Student Loans told me that : a. The decision was made by a secret proprietary algorithm b. Discover, in violation of Federal Law, keeps their criteria secret and they are not allowed to explain me why I was penalized for additional 1.5 % despite my exceptionally high credit rate.
c. They told that they are involved in market competition and recently developed a scheme to advertise a low interest rate but generate for applications.
d. Senior supervisor XXXX ( emp. # XXXX ) specifically said that they will not disclose the criteria for best rate and if anybody is getting it.
Looks like I am a victim of an illegal scheme developed at Discover Student Loans : a low rate 3.49 % is announced, a person with exceptional credit score gets a high rate 4.99 % generated by their secret algorithm and they refuse to explain it.
Please investigate the issue.

Complaint: Discover is causing me to request a code via email or text EVERY TIME I want to log into my account. I believe it is because they want to make it harder for me to log into my account and pay my balance so they can gain more fees and charges off from me. Complaint: I applied on my discover XXXX miles card XXXX of 2015. My promotion was double your cash reward for the first year.
I should have received my cashback double for the whole year on XXXX billing cycle. I suspect when my original account was marked as fraud, XXXX transactions was not authoized by me therefore they have to replace my card with another account number. The original account number is XXXX. They have verified on the phone that i was indeed enrolled with the promotion. With this the promotion might have fallen off on my card.
I started following up on it on XXXX XXXX, and has voiced my concern about it. they said i should call back and wait for another month for XXXX XXXX billing and it should reflect it. XXXX XXXX came the tell me now to wait on XXXX XXXX billing and it will surely reflect on my double cashback for the year.
I have spoke with XXXX XXXX on this issue.
Come XXXX XXXX i called again and i spoke to XXXX and she then transfered me to XXXX a supervisor. She said to wait 72 hours and she will call me back. It has been almost 3 weeks and almost every week i follow up on the status and no answer for it up to now. On XXXX XXXX someone told me that i would receive a call in the afternoon but no call was received. Today XXXX XXXX still no word on the outcome of my cash back award.
Please help me resolve this matter. I feel i have been wronged already since it has been 4 months that i should have received the cashback promotion on my account.

Complaint: I applied and was approved for discover credit card XX/XX/2015. XX/XX/2015 Discover started a double cash back bonus promotion. Basically at your one year card anniversary the dollar amount of cash back bonus that you have earned would be doubled by Discover. So at my one year anniversary I noticed my cash back did n't double. I called Discover and asked about it They said that all card members were notified by email or by mail XX/XX/2015 giving them the chance to opt in to the promotion. I never received notification. Why would anyone turn down the chance to double the cash back? Why did n't Discover just enroll all of its eligible customers?
