Complaint: I received a credit card that I did not apply for from Discover. When I contacted the company my experience was very suspicious. When I Gave the woman my SS number on the phone there was complete silence for several seconds when I asked are you still there? She acted surprised and asked me again for my SS number. I gave it again and she asked another time for it as if it did n't match her records. After several minutes of conversation and verifying my info she asked a fifth time for my SS number. At that point I got terse with her and said " You have asked for my SS number 5 times, what is going on here? '' I then asked her for my SS number and she gave it to me. I then asked for all information she had on me. This included a fictitious email address and a long past phone number of mine. When I checked my credit the following day I had no indication of identity theft and not even an inquiry into my credit from Discover. I do n't know what is going on here but It seems that Discover may have purposely issued this card as an aggressive and illegal sales effort or perhaps issued it wrongly without verifying my information. I believe this needs to be investigated by the U.S. authorities.

I have filed for a police report and the FTC identity theft victim affidavit report, and copies have been forwarded to this bank Fraud and Claims department. Discover Card did not address this issue, and this is a claim filed per Federal Trade Commission, a file putting in complaint dispute with credit institution on debt collection and mitigating loss incur by XXXX of " ALSO XXXX '', " ALSO XXXX '', " ASLO XXXX '', XXXX '' and Discover Card. Complaint: Last year I got involved with several fraudulent companies that contacted me to sell me their services, that I did not solicited. After I paid the first XXXX, many others were calling me like they were all connected offering me online services related that were unnecessary. XXXX XXXX XXXX was XXXX of them, they called me on XXXX/XXXX/2016 and I was told they guaranteed XXXX leads plus internet marketing, 6 months of advertising, they said the leads were guaranteed, they said they would deliver leads within 180 days from date of payment clears.Did n't receive it. Leads would apply to my website. I paid them {$3000.00} with my Discover card. No other contact, no emails, or calls, etc. They stated I would make money with this opportunity. Have not made a penny.And they disappeared.

Keep getting calls about my loan
Complaint: I received a letter regarding a missed payment in XX/XX/XXXX. After checking my bank account and verifying that I had mistakenly missed a payment in XX/XX/XXXX, I called them to discuss what I needed to do. At that time the person I talked to told me that sending my regular payment for XX/XX/XXXX should catch me up, as I normally pay more than the minimum payment. I did so, but have continued to receive letters, and am now getting harassing phone calls. I spoke with a representative on the phone today who kept badgering me and calling my account " delinquent. '' I told them to stop calling and harassing me. I have paid every month since I spoke with them about my missed XX/XX/XXXX payment, and followed their directions to " catch up '' on the XX/XX/XXXX payment. I want the harassing phone calls to stop. Additionally my interest rate is over 9 % and I have contacted them numerous times about reducing my interest rate so that my monthly payments will actually go toward reducing my balance. They have been unwilling to work with me on reducing my interest rate, even though I have faithfully made my monthly payments.
