On XXXX XXXX discover credit services Over drafted my account {$28.00} On XXXX XXXX I called and spoke with XXXX She had agreed to waive one in NSF charge from my bank account I had requested to Have my payment in XXXX waived for the inconvenience of them providing me False information. On XXXX XXXX I called XXXX again she agrred they will pay one nsf fee to my bank, but will not be able to wave a payment for the inconvenience I had informed her they are in violation of Udapp. XXXX had informed me there was nothing they could do. XXXX contacted my bank agree To pay one {$35.00} fee to my account And requested my bank forgives the other {$35.00} insufficient funds fee. XXXX had advised me that I still need to pay the {$28.00} they had misinformed me on discover has failed to accommodate me for their violation.

Complaint: The XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, XXXX phone XXXX was the motel I rented a room for my son XXXX for 10 days at {$60.00} a night. They also were given {$50.00} in cash as a security deposit on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. The merchant # was XXXX and store # XXXX. This was charged by me on my Discover Card XXXX on the same day. 3-4 days later the owner evicted my son, since a visitor has come to his door, unbe knowings to my son of his visit. He verbally harassed my son to leave and we were never told there were no visitors allowed. I had to secure transportation to another hotel. The owner of the hotel would not give him any funds back. I also sent a letter with XXXX drivers license in the letter to the hotel, which they have never given this back to my son nor returned to me in the mail. I have spoken to Discover and the motel several times to delete the entire charges on my account. They want documentation, which did not happen since it was verbal abusive behavior. Discover has before refunded it and then adds it back on my checking account, which is now frozen. Complaint: I have been dealing with Discover Student Loans since the took over the XXXX XXXX Student Loans. I have had repeated trouble with my accounts. Often they do not reflect the payments made, and I am reported to the credit agencies. At one point I had to send a cease and desist letter to keep them from calling me 10 plus time per day while I was at work. That was in XX/XX/XXXX. Then in XX/XX/XXXX I called Discover to ask the status of my accounts as I was selling my home and trying to buy another home. I was told all was good, but he had to look to why he saw I was current, but I was seeing online that my accounts were reporting late. I was told by the Discover agent, that I was good. I also informed that that I would be paying off the remaining loans over the next few months as we sell our home. Then on XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX I got an alert from XXXX and Transunion that Discover was reporting me as delinquent. I called Discover on XX/XX/XXXX to try and find our what was going on. They told me I would get calls back, and emails they never came. Eventually on XX/XX/XXXX I got XXXX and Discover Student Loans on a three way call and they finally admitted in that call to XXXX that I was current, and that I was current when I was reported as delinquent. Now as of today XX/XX/XXXX I still can not tell the status of my loans, or when payments are due or if they are. The website has me listed as in deferment for school, but I have been in XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX University since XX/XX/XXXX. This would mean I should have been in deferment for the last 13 months. With that fact, then I am not required to make a payment, thus I could not be late as they reported me. The bottom line is that I can not get information about my accounts, and this is effecting my credit. I am unable to callas they tell me to write them, when I send the emails via the secure server I get responses that tell me to call, then on the call they tell me I must write. How can I get information? How can a company be allowed to report negative when they do not report all payments and positives? How can a company who 's own web site states, " Due to system maintenance your Account Center payment history may be incomplete. We are currently working to resolve this issue. We anticipate the issue will be resolved in a few days. In the meantime, for complete payment history, please see your monthly statement ( s ). We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. See Attached I and my family is at a lose as we were about to get a home now we have nothing, as Discover reported negative when I was not negative. I know I am not perfect and my credit shows that, but when a company is not giving the consumer or the credit agencies accurate information in a timely manor, how can they be trusted at all?

Complaint: I have been experiencing medical financial hardship for the past few years. I have spoke to this creditor numerous times for help in lowering my interest which is extremely high. over 20 percent. they have put me in 2 programs and still i made every payment on time which still was a lot of interest. i spoke to them today and asked to close the account and reduce the interest rate so I could make a dent in the balance. my advice was to transfer to another card or file bankrupcy or contact a third party. They were not willing to help at all. I continue to get letters and offers in the mail to keep using my card when I 'm not able to afford the payment and the interest. I would never use this credit card or company again. I have been through emotional stress and they could care less.

They 're continuously telling me that the account is verified, which it ca n't be because I 've never signed a contract with them. I had never applied for anything with this company until about a month ago and got denied saying that I 've already had an account with them which I never have. Im in the process of trying to purchase a home and do n't need anything negative on my credit report preventing that from happening, especially if it 's something negative that I did n't authorize or have no knowledge of.

Complaint: I opened my account with Discover Credit Card in XXXX XXXX and made my payments on time until XXXX of XXXX when I lost my job. I informed Discover of this and they were more than willing to work with me. I found a job and started to make payments again and became the victim of Identity Theft and some of the payments were charged back. My account became suspended due to the payment history. I reached out to Discover the end of XXXX XXXX to find out what I need to do to get back on track and my account returned to active. I was informed on more than one occasion and by more than one person that all I needed to do was continue to make payments, bring the balance below the credit limit and that my account would be reviewed by the " system '' on a monthly basis to determine status. Today, XXXX/XXXX/XXXX after more than 90 days of making 3-4 payments a month for the last three months, setting up auto payment, and talking to countless Discover Employees, I was informed that my Credit Report has to be at {$0.00} for all accounts ( nothing in collections or showing a balance ). This of course I know is impossible due to the hardships that I went through I had no choice but to default on somethings because the companies would not work with me. I was NEVER informed of this and was MISLEAD to believe that if I continued to make payments my Discover account would be reinstated. I should have been told ALL the requirements that Discover looks at when reviewing an account and not just what they wanted to tell me in order to keep me paying to an account that will never be active again. I have been LIED to and this is FRAUD. During my conversation I also asked if there is a group that handles situations were the consumer has been LIED to and was told no. This is unacceptable. Discover has no idea, nor is it any of their business, why accounts on MY CREDIT report are in collections. This needs to be addressed so that it does not keep happening.

Complaint: Discover Financial Services continues to report to XXXX and XXXX an alleged debt even though XXXX reports the last payment date as XXXX XXXX, XXXX. No payment have been made on this account since XXXX XXXX, I did however file a complaint with the CFPB in XXXX XXXX Case number XXXX ) and Discover credited this alleged account for a portion of the credit protection program premiums I had paid. XXXX failed to honor this program and I declined their offer to credit the amount they offered. They credited it anyway and then closed the account on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. They also sent a XXXX for XXXX and I paid taxes on the alleged debt. No payments were made on this account since XXXX and it is well past the 7 year time period and should be removed from my credit reports. I sent XXXX a letter on XXXX XXXX, XXXX asking them to remove this alleged debt from my credit reports but they have declined to do so. Thank you for your help. XXXX XXXX

Complaint: I opened a cashback checking account with Discover Bank and made an initial deposit of {$25.00} dollars via ACH transfer from my XXXX account. It took Discover Bank approximately 24-48 hours to take the funds and an entire week to release the funds to me. I then proceeded to make another ACH transfer for {$25.00} which was removed from my XXXX bank account onXX/XX/XXXX. Discover Bank will not give me access to my money until XX/XX/XXXX. They are holding my money for more than 2 weeks. On XX/XX/XXXX i called customer service and i was basically told " oh well '' " that 's when you 'll get your money. '' I was informed that THEY " Discover Bank '' had to make sure my ACH request was n't fraudulent. I told the customer service rep that i would be more than happy to get XXXX on the phone with them, so they could verify me. Discover said NO .... So basically, I dont get access to any money i deposit into this predatory bank until whenever THEY feel like releasing it. Discover Bank should be investigated and fined for that kind of activity. My account number at Discover Bank is XXXX and the last four of my social is XXXX.

Complaint: In my previous complaints ( XXXX ) to CFPB the issue is still not resolved. Please see all this information provided in the other complaints. This response from XXXX is outrageous and does not explain anything. XXXX only explains that they changed the account number for their own purposes and that they have provided information on my variable rate. However, what they actually provided is information showing they closed and reopened my loan without my authorization, gave me information on my fixed rate simple interest loan, and gave no explanation as to why they changed my loan from simple interest to compounding. I do not have a variable rate and compounding interest loan!!! I have a fixed, simple interest loan and XXXX fraudulently changed my loan conditions in order to increase my payment and amount of interest I pay. Their response is not a response to the complaint I have made!!! I need the CFPB to investigated the information they provided in the response because it explains nothing!!!
