Card opened as result of identity theft or fraud
Complaint: Discover Card - in its latest response - has provided this organization, and me, with information that it knows is incorrect.
In its last response, it claims that it sent paperless responses and documents to an email address that corresponds to an email address that was included in its application. That email address - according to a XX/XX/2017 letter - was " XXXX. '' Upon sharing with them that I have never had an email address of that sort, they backed off.
It wasn't until my most recent request for their method of delivering their statements are they now claiming that they email address they sent to the person that opened the account, is the same email address used on my correspondence to this agency, my email address : XXXX.
So : 1. They can't provide anyone with a complete date when they got an application.
2. There's a two-month gap between when they approved an application and when they mailed a card.
3. They claim that they approved the account with supporting information, but refuse to provide the information they used when requested.
4. They originally claimed - to me and to this agency - that they mailed physical statements ; now they claim that they emailed statements to the email address XXXX EVEN THOUGH they claimed to email statements to a XXXX address when asked about this is XX/XX/2017.
REQUEST : I request that Discover provide this agency, and me, with proof of the email address they used to submit these statements. It shouldn't be hard to provide if you have an actual signed contract/application that you claim to have when you opened this account.
Please keep in mind that I'm collecting all of your responses for the purposes of legal action.

Complaint: Following a recent review of my credit report at the XXXX, XXXX and XXXX consumer reporting agencies, I learned that Discover Financial Services was reporting delinquent 30 days when this was not the case. In fact, the account should report paid as agreed with no delinquency whatsoever.
I contacted the creditor and was advised that the account would be updated and any prior delinquencies would be removed as said delinquency was no fault of mine. To date, this - apparently - has not been done and my credit score has been severely impacted.
Please investigate my concerns and compel the creditor to correct my account with them. As an account holder since XXXX, I deserve more.

Complaint: I have contacted Discover Card several times about this matter, Discover is reporting 30 day late on XX/XX/2017 on my credit report which is affect credit score and I have had this secured card of XXXX and the reason why was I was in hosptial and after I had spoken to a rep and the rep advised me to sign up for automatic draft of the payment every month and I have had the automatic draft of payment for a couple of years now I should have by now been graudated from a secured card to a unsecured card but Discover had not done that at all.Not happy with the Discover Card company

Complaint: On XX/XX/18 I received an email from XXXX at XXXX saying that they closed down my account without any prior notice due to the following reasons.
" Time since unsecured loan opened Derogatory public record or collection filed Length of time accounts have been established '' I gave them a call on XX/XX/18 at XXXX XXXX when their office opened to ask why they were my closing my account out of no where. They explained to me that they reviewed my account/ my credit report and they said because of the above reasons they have to close my account. They said it was closed permanently and there was no appeal process or anything I could do about it to reverse the decision. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told they were not available.
I just recently paid off my balance in full for this account a month before they closed my account. My credit score is in the 700 's as well as I've had this credit card for over two years. They are my longest credit card length on my report.
The unsecured loan they are talking about has just been paid off a week prior to them closing my account so it hasn't even gotten a chance to reported onto my credit as paid off. The collection on my account was a medical bill from a year and a half ago that was paid by a car accident settlement that I had to wait months to be paid out. As well as, it has been on my credit report for the two times XXXX has increased my credit limit and it was never a problem. Also, the lengths of the time my credit has been established makes no sense because they are my longest credit card I've had.
I feel as though I have been unfairly treated by XXXX. My account was reviewed without my knowledge and closed without out any warning or notice. There is no appeal process and they are closing my longest standing credit card that I have. Them closing my account will affect my credit in tremendous ways including my credit length, my available credit line amount, as well as having a closed account on my credit report. Again as I stated before, I've been with them for over two years, my account was paid off, and my credit is in the 700 's. I just don't understand why my account had to be closed when they just raised my credit limit XXXX a few months prior.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: This guy offered to pay my credit card debt of {$790.00}, he gave me his saving account info and routing number to pay. I paid it off. Then he asked me to go to XXXX XXXX for him the next day after telling me I was allowed to pay the card off, so it wasn't part of the any exchange I was sick so I told him no. He threaten to reverses the payment, I told him that was fine since I was sick and did not want to be control by money ( I was not his slave ) he then threaten to make my credit score to go to XXXX, he told his bank I committed fraud. I have text messages to prove all of this that I asked him permission on amount and everything.

Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Complaint: So I have not only got charged a 3 % interest on a balance transfer when the Advertisement and paper work I received stated 0 % for 14 months i have this paper work at home and no way of getting this to the company.
So i transfered a loan from my bank onto my discover card which they admittedly put on my discover card, but my bank states they have not gotten the payment yet!!! so now I am being charged by my bank interest on a loan still sitting in my account that discover states they paid off!
I asked discover for a copy of the check sent front an bank so I can send it to my bank and they said they could not do this till after the XXXX which again I am being charged interest on this loan that is sitting on my discover card .... XXXX stated that they sent the check on the XXXX and that it was cashed so i do not see why they could not send me or my back a copy of the check front an back so that we can have it only on the discover card?
I have spoken to 14 people in regards to the % rate and this transfer and noone can help me. It is very aggravating that they just blow you off ... no reason why they can not help me to me if you put something on someones account and they are asking for copies it should be giving to you. I am the one paying this off!

Can't stop withdrawals from your account
Complaint: I withdrew my money from a money market account and closed it. Discover bank claims to not have received my initial request to close the account and is charging me fees on the XXXX balance. They refuse to close the account and keep charging me fees!
XXXX - XXXX out the account and send closure via bank 's internal messaging.
XXXX - Messaging via bank 's website again requesting closure. Was told they would not because they are charging me a minimum balance fee. ( - {$10.00} ) XXXX - Telephone conversation with bank employees. Requested account closure, and was refused again. ( - {$10.00} again ) Discover bank continues to charge monthly fees on an account that was a savings money market account - not a credit account! They are providing no desired service. I have not borrowed any money from them.
The bank refuses to close the now negative account without payment of their fees. There was no fee for closing accounts apparent in the agreement.
