Complaint: I believe I have been charged in some cases for estimates, or estimates for future services. There are also excessive fees have been, and continue to be charged to my account, such as property inspection fee, charged when no services have been performed, or charged less than 45 days apart, when property inspection reports, home is occupied and in good shape.

Complaint: Got a home loan from caliber. After 3 months the note was sold to XXXX. Caliber sent notice of sale an to no longer send payments to them. The other bank never had it set up. Learnt after many attempts to make a payment that the paperwork was not submitted in time so they did n't except it. Caliber has closed the account an will not take a payment. It has been 4 months an worried of forclosure. Caliber will not discuss anything saying the account was sold. This dispute over someone not getting the paper work done is gon na cost us the house. We have made many attempts to resolve this with certified letters an having an attorney send both company 's letters with no luck. They should not be able to do this to people an get away with it. There should be a law to protect the home ower. Average people do n't have deep pockets to keep paying lawyers to fight for something that 's the mortgage company 's fault!

Complaint: THIS IS NOT A DUPLICATE COMPLAINT TO XXXX. I c.c., the CFPB, in efforts Caliber Home Loan, be held accountable, and to document on record, illegal the and unjust activities that exist to date. There are payment errors, escrow errors, fee errors, servicing errors, payoff errors, and foreclosure errors, that need to be addressed.
I also requested, a complete servicing file, a copy XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2015 mortgage statements. A itemized reinstatement, and for all errors to be fixed on account. I am also attached some additional, inquires, and notices that I have sent to Caliber, that have yet to be addressed or acknowledged, I will also be fowarding them to additional, state and federal agencies.
Caliber continuously refuses, to properly address loan, lie, blatantly ignore, and disregard, multiple state and federal laws. There are many issues that continue to date, in which additional complaints will follow.

Complaint: My mortgage was with XXXX and was supposed to include escrow. However at the time of signing no escrow was included and I was advised that the will add the escrow after we signed the documents. Well that did not happen and I contacted the person who closed the loan and was told he no longer worked with them but they can look into to it and get back to me. Well that did not happen and the branch ended up closing and nobody could help me. Needless to say I fell on hard times and my home went into foreclosure with XXXX a lock was placed on my front door and I was unable to gain access to my home. I contacted XXXX and they informed me that it was pulled out of foreclosure so I asked for the key and gained access to my house. At that time they told me I was responsible for the taxes on the property and I said okay. They then sold my mortgage to Caliber Home Loans who would only do a interest only payment modification for 5 years which and the balance on my mortgage is more that the house is worth. I had to take that option or lose my house. I have not missed one payment. I then receive a bill for my XXXX payment for XXXX which is XXXX more than my payment was. Come to find out it is because XXXX never paid the taxes when they had it in foreclosure and it was just added to my mortgage. I can not afford this. The balance on my mortgage is more than my house is worth. I need a modification that will lower my payment for the life of the mortgage not just interest for 5 years. It will put me back in the same position I was.

Complaint: I am set to lose my house to foreclosure on XX/XX/XXXX because my lender XXXX failed to honor the terms of an approved loan modification that I received from XXXX XXXX XXXX right before they sold the loan to Caliber. If Caliber would have honored the terms of this approved modification I would not be in this situation. Instead, I have spent several YEARS going back and forth with Caliber trying to get approved for assistance while being repeatedly stonewalled by the agents who work there with various excuses as to why they ca n't help me. I can afford a fair payment, I want to make payments to them, but they have refused to allow me to make a payment to them during this long period and have said the only option is to repay all of the late payments at once. Since this process has been dragging on now for years, that amount has continued to grow. There is no way I can repay all of the late payments in one lump sum, but why ca n't they offer a modification or a repayment plan or ANY options and why over the course of three years have they continually made excuses as to why they ca n't do anything.
I have lived in my home for nearly 30 years. I worked for years as a cable TV technician until I was involved in a major car accident. I was hit by a drunk driver and have not been able to work since XX/XX/XXXX. I receive fixed income and had enough money to pay my bills and never had any problems with the mortgage payment even after the accident. Then XX/XX/XXXX both of my parents passed away. I had to help cover their funeral and burial costs and this put me in a tough spot and I ended up falling behind on the mortgage. At that time XXXX XXXX XXXX held this loan and I contacted them and applied for a modification program and eventually was APPROVED with monthly payments of approximately {$1000.00}. However, right after I was approved for this program the loan was transferred to Caliber and my problems began. For some reason Caliber would not honor the modification that had been approved by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was told I needed to apply again. This began a very frustrating process of collecting all of my financial documents and sending them in, only to be told something was missing and having to send everything in again. Each time I was given a different story. Sorry XXXX XXXX, we do n't participate in government programs ( this company accepted millions in bailout funds so that is not true ) sorry XXXX XXXX we never received these documents ( I sent and re-sent paperwork at least 50 times ) sorry XXXX XXXX you make too much money to qualify for help ( WHAT?? ) etc. etc.
I am now faced with a foreclosure sale date on XX/XX/XXXX. This house is shelter not just for me, but also my daughter, grandson, brother and my girlfriend. We have the means to make a payment. I realize that I am behind, but this problem was solved by XXXX XXXX XXXX when they offered me a modification. The problem is that Caliber failed to honor this modification and has for the last few years given me ZERO options to resolve this problem ( other than pay the full amount past due ). It is frustrating and wrong that I could lose my home due to their failure to offer ANY type of reasonable option at repayment.

Complaint: We are trying to pay off our mortgage loan. When asked for a payoff statement, the amount of principal remaining does not make sense based on our agreed to payments and the loan maturity date. The customer service reps on the phone could n't even look at the payment history that the company sent me by mail. In reviewing the payment history, it appears that some of my mortgage payments were n't applied or were misapplied to interest.
