Complaint: Applied for a modification and I was approved for a temporary payment reduction and an extension of 21 more years. I was not happy with the terms and was told to sign it and send it back for review and then call to discuss for other options. After a week I called the mortgage company and was placed on hold several times. I was told i will get a call back and to no avail that never happen. My rate is over 9 % therefore the mortgage company is making money off of me.

Complaint: I purchased my home with a government insured FHA loan that is serviced by Caliber Home Loans. My problem is that I was injured and hospitalized for a period of time and missed a lot of work. This caused me to fall behind on my mortgage payment. As soon as I was back to full time I contacted Caliber to try and resolve the matter. They requested that I send in some financial information. I did this, and then did it again, and again and again. Each time I speak with someone different, and each time they give me a different excuse as to why they ca n't review my information. This has happened so many times that it seems intentional. Caliber is denying me access to government mortgage assistance programs that they are required to offer.
I have worked as a XXXX for 16 years and I make a good living. My wife also works part time as a XXXX to help out and we live in our home with our XXXX daughters. We love our neighborhood and our home and want to save it more than anything. This problem began in XX/XX/2016 when I was hospitalized and was out of work. When I got out of the hospital I had to take it easy and my company just had me working part time and doing XXXX. As a result I missed some mortgage payments. A couple of months later I was back to full time employment and I contacted Caliber Home Loans to discuss this matter. They told me to send in my financial information and they would see what they could do. I have never been assigned a specific contact, I have never talked to the same person twice and they have a different excuse every time. I have been doing this for nearly 5 months and have made absolutely NO progress. They still have not even LOOKED at my information and this is beyond frustrating. They are starting to threaten me with foreclosure. This is crazy -- I make a good living and can afford my mortgage payment. I hit a rough patch but am back on my feet. Why are they denying me access to all options for help?? I know that FHA loans have programs to help people in my situation with a modification, or partial claim, forbearance agreement or repayment plan. However Caliber Home Loans has refused to offer any of these options.
I am contacting you to inform you of the actions of my servicer Caliber Home Loans. They are not following guidelines, they are purposely obstructing the process, they are not conducting a review and they have never conducted a review of my financial information

Complaint: I have a problem with the holder of my FHA mortgage loan, Caliber Home Loans. I have been trying for over one year to get a review conducted of my financial information and have been passed from one person to another without a review ever happening. Now they have set a foreclosure sale date for XX/XX/XXXX. I can afford my mortgage payment, but had a problem in the past where I missed some mortgage payments. I have been trying to get this straightened out and even tried to resume making payments but Caliber will not take these payments. They tell me that I have to pay all the missed payments as well as late fees and Attorney fees all at one time. If I ca n't do that, then the only option is loan modification. But that has been stuck because of the bad customer service at Caliber.
I am gainfully employed and have worked as an XXXX for nearly 20 years. I occupy this home along with my daughter and her family. In addition to this income we now also receive XXXX as well. My daughter and I decided to purchase this property in XX/XX/XXXX, with the plan being that her family would move in and be helping out with all payments and bills. Unfortunately, the mortgage was only put into my name. I was struggling to keep up while waiting for my daughter to move in and help out. Eventually she did move in, but by that time I had already defaulted on the payment. I began reaching out to see what options may be available to fix this problem, and was provided with paperwork for a loan modification. I completed the paperwork and sent it back to Caliber but was told I did not fill it out properly. I began going back and forth with their agents trying to get them the information needed to conduct a review. During this process my dedicated contact was constantly rotating and it was hard to know where I was at in the process.
I tried to resume making my monthly payment but was told that Caliber would not accept my payment. I had to pay the entire past due amount all at once or get a loan modification. Since I could not afford to pay the full past due amount I had to keep trying to work with their loss mitigation department, but was never able to get through the process to a review. This was extremely frustrating, and now I find myself in foreclosure with an auction date coming up.
I know that if Caliber were to review my current financial information that I would qualify for assistance -- loan modification or partial claim for FHA loans or some type of forbearance agreement or repayment plan. I also heard that you can put the late payments back into the balance of the loan. Any of these options would help me, and I know that based on the current household income that I qualify. However, I have gone through a one year process of runaround with the Caliber team and I think this is wrong. Additionally, Caliber set a foreclosure auction date without providing any of the required Occupied Conveyance paperwork. I believe that Caliber is not following the guidelines for FHA loans and I believe I am being treated unfairly.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX was undersigned beneficiary of my mortgage loan, XXXX initiated foreclosure XX/XX/XXXX, quality loan services was assigned/appointed to handle foreclosure process on XX/XX/XXXX. Trustee sale was scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter from XXXX that my mortgage loan had been sold to them, effective XX/XX/XXXX. In summarizing loan assumed they listed acct. no. XXXX, which is not the acct no. that matches that loan. Listed mailing address is c/o caliber homes loans inc. XXXX XXXX OK, XXXX. No assignments are recorded. On XX/XX/XXXX a recorded assignment-Washington assignment of deed of trust XXXX f/k/a XXXX [ assignor ] transfers, grants to XXXX trustee for XXXX [ assignee ] .The notary is clearly fraudulent, notary dated XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX continued foreclosure process, foreclosure postponed 3 times until XX/XX/XXXX. Advertising was done only for original auction date. In XXXX property was puchased that had 2 separate tax parcels. In XXXX I noticed XXXX and XXXX had not been paid. [ XXXX I refinanced ] I paid these years and continued to do so to present. XXXX and previous lenders/servicers had been informed of tax issue without resolve.I was behind in taxes for this parcel, the co treasurer sent a foreclosure warning in XX/XX/XXXX at which time I corrected to keep from foreclosure. On XX/XX/XXXX I paid taxes for my parcel XXXX and later noticed co billing didnt seem right, on co taxsifter indicated parcel XXXX had been paid by XXXX for years XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. I had received no delinquency notice from the county. The deed from XXXX [ XXXX ] lacked property description for XXXX. Essentially lenders/servicers had no evidence of this parcel existing. I called XXXX and they informed me that caliber had owned the loan since XXXX. Please reference complaint/case no XXXX re XXXX loan XXXX. The XXXX rep said taxes had been paid directly to the county on XX/XX/XXXX by XXXX, and that parcel XXXX had also been added to the loan at that time. She also said the county had notified caliber that the taxes were delinquent, that the property was an REO XX/XX/XXXX.Rep quoted loan no XXXX which is loan no ive had for many years, she also quoted the other loan no. The loan number caliber assigned on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX is interesting as the first 5 numbers is zip code of previous residence and the last 5 are the same as XXXX/ XXXX XXXX zip. The entire foreclosure process from XXXX to present is completely unclear to me and have been unable to get information from anyone. Caliber sent me a XXXX in which the XXXX is listed as the auction purchase price. The property was not abandoned, I am unclearand dont know of any acquisitions. Apparently caliber was the foreclosing bank on XX/XX/XXXX. The REET affidavit is signed by calibers grantees agent XXXX who can not be identified as an agent of caliber. XXXX as agent for quality can not be correctly identified as well. The filling out of the REET is also questionable as it apperars to have been altered. Co treasurer says the payor listed as XXXX stands for XXXX, of which I may have evidence of altering after the refi loan was signed in XXXX. XXXX also signed the trustees deed upon sale. Caliber did not assign quality to continue foreclosure, quality did not act in good faith in assuring the actual holder of deed/note. Niether XXXX or caliber can provide adequate proof of possessing the deed. Assignments from XXXX are conflicting and contain well known robosigners in XXXX assignment. The XXXX foreclosing note referenced is also signed by a robosigner, in which the name is spelled wrong. The loan is not a XXXX as indicated in previous refi 's

Complaint: Company refuses to provide me with the process for paying additional money on my account. I submitted inquiries on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and although their email response states I will hear back within 5 days, I have not received the information requested. Additionally, my online payments used to have a way to pay extra money ( an amount of my choosing ) to my account ; however, that has disappeared. I received one response that I need to call to get the information. That is not acceptable! This simple question can be answered in writing. The only reason for them not to answer is that they want to continue charging as much interest as possible. This is the second time I have had to contact you to get this simple question answered. They restored my online ability to pay an amount of my choosing online mysteriously in that case, stating it was always there. This time I will attach proof that it is not there. And I want to request that it REMAIN until my account is paid in full. Furthermore, they have not at a minimum provided me with mailing instructions either for mailing in extra amounts of my choosing to my account.

Complaint: Our home was damaged by XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. From day 1 i have been open about this being an estimated claim of $ XXXX $ XXXX and 100 % compliant to Caliber Home Loans request and documentation. Situation 1 was the poor mishandling of our 2nd advance check it took them nearly 30 days to endorse and get it back to us. one delay in this process was me having to re-verify that the previous payment was an Advance, even though they had already endorsed and released this check to us themselves.another delay was them sending the check back to me for my signature which contradicted their instructions to not endorse the check and mail it to them, to prevent mailing a " Live '' check once they endorsed upon verification of " Advance '' status and returned to Us. It seems that every call I make to Caliber Home loan Loss Draft dept I get a different answer or policy. On XX/XX/XXXX we finally received our first look at the Proof of Loss by our adjuster. At this point I relayed this information to them and asked exactly what we need to do to have the specified amount of final payment handled swiftly. I did what was requested and to no surprise, once the actual check arrived they added more requirements for documentation, hence delaying our funds. On XX/XX/XXXX the final settlement check was deposited into their account. they spent 2 weeks to issue payment to 2 contractors which had been on file for at least 30 days. Now that all contractors have been paid in full and the home has passed a 90 % inspection they still refuse to dispurse the remaining funds which are intended for the Kitchen ( remaining 10 % ). There is a XXXX estimate on file to justify the cost of the final repairs. However Cabinets must be Prepaid before we can get a final invoice, this seems to be an industry standard. They are questioning me about the cost of Kitchen, etc because the quote is higher than remaining funds. This deficiency is occurring because the used funds for my " Flood '' claim to pay an invoice/contractor that was associated with my " Wind and Hail '' claim. Ultimately I do not care about this as the contractor had me on a payment plan ( to help me with a high deductible ) and was obviously getting paid regardless. They chose to merge the 2 claims into one in there system, it does not give them the right to control my repair plans for our Kitchen.I have had several of their representatives agree with my pleadings and offer to personally monitor my claim and give call backs on important updates/decision and/or requirements. This has never happened once and I still get a different representative and longer hold times each day I call. They say they are operating within federal regulations, which each representative has a different policy. If this is true the Regulations must be changed immediately. My family was blessed with much support from family, friends and local businesses to get our home to 90 %, without them I would still be renting a second home and waiting on Caliber Homes Loans to give us the run around and not restore our life. Please note Caliber Home Loans did not miss a mortgage payment from us during this Natural Disaster

Complaint: Caliber Mortgage LN XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX CA XXXX Today I received the attached letter from Caliber. They have requested an authorization in order to be able to speak to me regarding their refusal to follow Bankruptcy Law. I had to explain to them that the reason they do not have an authorization on file is because they DELETED ALL THE DOCUMENTS WE SUBMITTED FOR THE SHORT SALE.
****THEY HAVE DELETED ALL THE DOCUMENTS WE HAVE SUBMITTED FOR THE SHORT SALE.
This is a violation of federal AND state law.
What else have they deleted and from how many client files??? What are they trying to hide???
Apparently Caliber feels they do not have to follow ANY type of laws whatsoever - not Bankruptcy Laws, not Federal Laws and not State Laws.
