Getting a loan or lease

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Fraudulent loan
Complaint: I went into a car dealership in early/mid month of XXXX 2017 to finance a vehicle. But the car I wanted was sold so the finance lady showed me a XXXX XXXX XXXX which was {$16.00} & And a XXXX XXXX XXXX for {$7900.00}, & I was to put {$1000.00} down payment & I put a {$100.00} to hold the vehicles until I got a word back on if I was approved for financing. So she called me to come in to talk about rates next day. And when I showed up she showed me approval for the cars and they up the prices for the XXXX XXXX from {$16000.00} to {$20000.00} with {$5000.00} down & the XXXX XXXX from {$7900.00} to {$10000.00} with {$2000.00} down. & I told her I could n't do the down payment and would try to do {$2000.00} for the XXXX XXXX. so I signed a Rmv-1 form to bring back with insurance stamp & down payment but I could n't get the other {$1000.00} down. So we did n't go any further with the transaction or paper work and never took possession or registered the vehicle & come to find out the dealership fraudulently signed a contract with a Electric signature and sent a contract over to the bank which I have called and informed them that the contract was not signed by me I 've never seen or even got a copy of any contract and they refused to cancel the contract. After contract multiple times

Struggling to pay your loan

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Complaint: Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX I paid Credit Acceptance XXXX to redeem my repossessed XXXX XXXX XXXX. I spoke with the redemption dept who set up a payment plan to bring the account current. The next payment was due XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of XXXX give or take a few cents. I was n't advised there 's no grace period and I made the payment on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX after talking with a representative that called me on XX/XX/XXXX explaining the arrangement is no longer valid and can not be reset even if I made the payment with them. They wanted to know why I could n't make the payment on time. I explained to rep ( her ) that " I stopped working XX/XX/XXXX. I had an unemployment claim already opened so when I reported my unemployment it was attached to the claim that expires on XX/XX/XXXX after which you have to file a new claim even if you 're are n't working. Well I started a job on XX/XX/XXXX so my new claim is only for 1 week of unemployment. After waiting 30 days for the claim to be approved I was told because I 've never received payment under the new claim, it wo n't payout the 1 week until I report unemployment again. That was {$500.00} I needed and was counting on to help catch up all my bills. '' I have never heard of a no grace period, no was it explained and there 's no paperwork explaining the repayment plan and the consequences. All these arrangements are done via the telephone. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Credit Acceptance to confirm the payment and was told by the rep that I have to pay XXXX every two weeks until the account is brought current. Right now the account is maybe 30 days late meaning I owe 1 payment. I asked to make a payment on XX/XX/XXXX which is my payday and he stated he can not make any arrangements past the date of XX/XX/XXXX I made the payment today for XXXX and they are still threatening to pick the vehicle up every 2 weeks. The only way to get back on a payment plan is basically let them pick the vehicle up and then pay the fees and costs for the repossession and I they will work something out for you.

Struggling to pay your loan

Vehicle loan or lease: Loan

Problem after you declared or threatened to declare bankruptcy
Complaint: I filed for bankruptcy in XX/XX/XXXX, I had made a payment to Credit Acceptance and once I had filed they started to refuse my payments. I had understood they were to obe paid outside of the bankruptcy and made every attempt to pay them. I had even told my attorney of what they wee doing. They told me to keep trying to make the payment and they would handle it. I was them made to pay them current from the time I filed and yet they still refused my payment I continued to let my attorney know. I then made a large payment of {$1800.00}, that is when they took that payment, then again they refused payment. Then XX/XX/XXXX I get a notice from the credit bureau stating the account had been closed. I then made another large payment of {$800.00}. and yes they took it and asked why my account was reporting closed. I was told that they did not know why it was closed but I can still make payment. Every month since XX/XX/XXXX I have tried to make payments and they either hang up on me or not take the money out of the account in which I choose to have the money taking out of each month. Then today they came and repossessed the car and I showed the man picking up the car and he told me to make a report.

Problem with fees charged
Complaint: On XX/XX/17 I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, NY to purchase a used XXXX XXXX XXXX car which I saw advertising in the XXXX XXXX Website for sale at {$4900.00}. The salesman told me that the car was being cleaned and it was not in the lot and if I was interested in the car, he would start the paperwork and I could come another day to finalize the purchase. I posted a downpayment of {$2500.00} for the car and we agreed that the dealership will be taking my old car for a price of {$300.00}, bringing my downpayment for the car at {$2800.00} He proceeded to take my information for financing the car. I was told that I was approved for the car loan and I will be paying {$230.00} a month for 36 months. On tuesday ( XX/XX/17 ), I went to pick up the car and I asked for the paperwork to be signed and I was told the same information as provided that Saturday ( XX/XX/17 ), and that the application was filled out on line and that I will be getting a phone call from the Financial Company to verify the purchase of the car. Later that day, I received a call from Credit Acceptance to verify that I have purchased the vehicle at the same time I asked for a copy of the paperwork and I was told by Credit Acceptance that the Dealership was responsible for providing copy of the contract. I called the Dealer again and I was told that a copy will be mailed same day. 2 weeks later and after opening a claim with Credit Acceptance Customer Service Area, I received a copy of contract in the mail and found the following : 1- The Car Sale Price in the contract was inflated by {$3000.00}. Car was advertised for {$4900.00} and that was the agreed at the time of the sale.
2- The last page of the contract shows my signature which is not my signature. I am certain that the signature was copied from the trade of my car form. I traded my old car at the time I picked up the XXXX XXXX.
3. The contract life of the loan is showing 57 payments at {$230.00} instead of 36 months as agreed by both parties.
I went to dealership to show the discrepancy in the car sale and I was told that there is a dealership fee and an extra fee from Credit Acceptance for the loan. That information was never told neither is showing in the contract.
I submitted another claim to Credit Acceptance Corp. on XX/XX/17.
