Brought truck XX/XX/XXXX motor was low on oil next day car store garage put oil in next day power steering started making noise needed power steering hose! They fixed! XX/XX/XXXX truck motor stated making noise carried back to car store garage left there said needed new motor! Said would put one in did n't said was something else later fixed it got truck back XX/XX/XXXX Complained to credit acceptance complaint department they did n't do nothing!! THAT SHOWED MY FIRST PAYMENT ON THE ACCOUNT WAS MADE IN XX/XX/XXXX AND MY LAST PAYMENT THAT THEY RECEIVED WAS XX/XX/XXXX WHEN I TRADE MY CAR IN AND THE DEALER SENT IN A CHECK IN XXXX THAT PAYED OFF THE CAR.. SO ON MY CREDIT REPORT IS SHOULD SHOW 15 PAYMENTS ON THE ACCOUNT WHICH IT DIDNT SHOW. SECOND THE BALANCE SHOULD BE XXXX AND NOT REPORTING ANY BALANCE WHICH IT SHOWED ON MY REPORT. FINALLY IT SHOULD SHOW CLOSED AS PAY AS AGREE INSTEAD OF SHOWING OPEN WITH A BALANCE. I CALLED XXXX AND THEY STATED THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS DELETE WHICH I INFORM THEM THAT THE ACCOUNT SHOULD OF BEEN UPDATED AS CLOSE PAY IN FULL. I WAS INFORM THAT I WOULD HAVE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH CREDIT ACCEPTANCE ABOUT THIS. AWHILE BACK I RAN WITH THE SAME ISSUE ON MY XXXX XXXX CREDIT REPORT AND YES THE ACCOUNT WAS DELETE AND WITH THE SAME RESPONSE FROM CREDIT ACCEPTANCE THEY DIDNT DELETE THE ACCOUNT BUT WOULD LOOK INTO IT. I TALKED TO XXXX XXXX FROM CREDIT ACCEPTANCE AND THAT WHEN SHE SAID I WOULD NEED TO SEND A LETTER THAT STATE THAT I WANT THE ACCOUNT REINSERTED BACK ON MY CREDIT REPORT WHICH IT HAS BEEN BUT ON THAT REPORT IT REPORTING BALNCE WHICH IT NEEDS TO BE UPDATED AS CLOSE PAY AS AGREE NO BALANCE. I SENT AND I CALLED XXXX XXXX AND I SENT HER EMAIL ABOUT THIS AND SHE SENT ME EMAIL BACK STATING THAT THE ACCOUNT WAS DELETE. SO WHY WAS THE ACCOUNT DELETE AND WE RAN IN THIS SAME ISSUE ON MY OTHER REPORT. I DIDNT ASK TO HAVE THIS ACCOUNT DELETE I WANTED THIS ACCOUNT UPDATED AS CLOSED, PAY AS AGREE WITH XXXX BALANCE AND MY PAYMENT HISTORY REFLEXING FROM TIME OF THE LOAN WHEN IT WAS PAYED OFF. IT TIME FOR CREDIT ACCEPTANCE TO START TAKING RESPONSIBILTY ON THIS ISSUE. AND YES XXXX ALSO. DATE OF LAST PAYMENT ON THIS ACCOUNT SHOULD BE XX/XX/XXXX THAT IS WHAT IS STATE ON MY TRANSITION HISTORY OR PAYMENT HISTORY FROM CREDIT ACCEPTANCE. XXXX DATE OF LAST ACTIVITY IS WRONG AND I HAVE DISPUTE THIS TIME AND TIME. Complaint: I have been receiving constant aggressive collection calls from Credit Acceptance since XXXX XXXX XXXX threatening to disable and repossess my vehicle. My vehicle was repossessed XXXX/XXXX/XXXX and redeemed on XXXX {$43.00} represent partial payment for repossession fee altogether total of {$520.00}. They after I redeemed my vehicle did set a payment arrangement of {$300.00} of which {$19.00} was being applied to the remaining repossession fee. I had a family emergency in the month of XXXX and I mailed my monthly payment to them in the amount of XXXX which still satisfied my regular monthly payment of {$280.00} plus {$10.00} extra applied to the repossession fee. The payment agreement monthly schedule was to be paid on the XXXX of every month in the amount of {$300.00} until the repossession fee was satisfied. I mailed the payment out on XXXX XXXX they said that the payment was received late past XXXX the check cleared my bank on XXXX XXXX so that defaulted my payment agreement and they demanded that the remaining balance of the repossession fee be paid in full. I tried to explain to them the reason why I mailed my payment out on XXXX XXXX but they would not accept my explanation. I asked them could my payment agreement be reinstated and I would use the online payment method to make my monthly payments and that way the payments would always be on time. They refused to reinstate the payment agreement and said that my vehicle was in jeopardy of being XXXX because I have an outstanding balance. Since then I have been paying the {$300.00} and then I paid for XXXX an additional {$15.00} and for XXXX I paid an additional {$25.00} along with the {$300.00}. I am still continuing to receive collections calls from Credit Acceptance 3-4 time s a day the last time was today XXXX XXXX, XXXX

I went alone to purchase a used car in XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, VA XXXX phone ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX works with following company to get loans financed : Credit Acceptance Corporation XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, MI XXXX phone ( XXXX ) XXXX XXXX asked ME for {$11000.00} for a XXXX XXXX XXXX, 4-door sedan with odometer reading of 90,818. THIS PRICE WAS NOT ON THE CAR FOR ALL TO SEE. I thought this was high. I asked for the XXXX Report and the salesperson indicated their fax machine was not working. Instead he provided a report titled " Vehicle Compliant with Credit Acceptance Policy '' which indicated there was no damage to the car. I agreed to purchase the car and asked for gap insurance. The salesperson indicated that gap insurance could not be obtained that day if I wanted to drive off in the car. I had financed one other used car which was totalled and the car insurance did not pay off the entire loan so I definitely wanted gap insurance. The salesperson indicated I could obtain gap insurance the next day. I had taken public transportation to the end of the line then gotten in a taxi to get to XXXX XXXX so I signed a document, under duress, indicating I did not want gap insurance. When I called to obtain gap insurance the next day, I was told I should have gotten it the day I purchased the car and could not obtain it. The terms of the loan : Amount financed : {$12000.00}, APR : 23.99 %, No. of payments : 54, Amount of payments : {$380.00} beginning XX/XX/XXXX ; Finance charge : {$8100.00} ; Total of payments : {$20000.00}. The amount financed of {$12000.00} was reached as follows : asking price of car : {$11000.00} + {$760.00} in sales tax - {$1600.00} downpayment = XXXX plus following costs/fees : XXXX extended warranty contract ; {$20.00} fee to release security interest ; {$170.00} fees for certificate of title, license and registration ; {$390.00} seller 's processing fee. When I tried to trade the car in the next year, I was told by a XXXX XXXX dealership salesman that the XXXX XXXX value of the XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX was about {$4000.00}. The XXXX XXXX salesman provided me with a XXXX Report which indicated that the car had been damaged in an accident and there was a recall on the car. I feel that I was grossly over-charged for the car by XXXX XXXX, about THREE TIMES its value, and that Credit Acceptance added insult to injury by charging me 23.99 % which is practically illegal!!!!! I definitely believe the asking price was high because I am elderly and female.

She made me feel uneasy, harassed, and not secure to pay that amount of money with someone that aggressive. I ask for the dates she refused to tell me. Very aggressive first party collections practices they call me 3x a day which it should be only two if left a voicemail. Complaint: In XXXX 2015, I obtained an auto loan through Credit Acceptance for a XXXX XXXX XXXX with 69,999 mileage the asking price for the vehicle was XXXX with gap insurance included bringing the total to XXXX approximately. At the time I was deciding between two other companies for better priced vehicles with different financing terms. I was constantly contacted by the dealer through text/phones various times of the evenings to obtain the vehicle. Needless to say, I went for the deal, because I believed that the dealership had my best interest and offered me a connection with better finance company according to the dealership. At the time I was n't making much money, related to my return from a medical leave for 3 months prior. However, the loan was pushed through, and I was told by the dealer that no matter what I could and would be approved. Later on I realized why ; the finance company required a GPS device to be placed on the vehicle which was discussed after i signed the agreements and paid the down payment. If that was made known to me prior to signing, I would 've declined the offer and went to the other dealerships. I experienced much hardship with Credit Acceptance my vehicle was repossessed twice for only being 3 days late, and I had to pay the note plus an additional {$1500.00} in repossession fees, each time not included the 50-100 $ storage for belongings taken out of the vehicle. This was very humiliating and as a XXXX XXXX, I was not willing to accept this. I reached out to the finance company directly several times only to hear different explanations for the reasoning behind the excessive fees with the payment arrangements and/or repossession terms. I asked for a pay off amount and was told that the pay off was {$36000.00}! That is nearly double the price of the vehicle, and I asked for a break down of my loan and terms, the company declined to provide it to me, and one agent even said, what did I think? I knew the loan was for {$680.00} per month for 66 months! I would like people to be aware of predatory lenders such as credit acceptance, and I am looking towards filing litigation towards this company in relation to their actions which have caused me much anguish and hardship. I am a XXXX survivor and a divorced mother of XXXX small children who depend on me and I refuse to allow a company to deceive or manipulate me with these tactics.

Complaint: First and foremost, Credit Acceptance has had my loan since I bought a XXXX XXXX XXXX with over 100,000 miles on it. I traded in a car my sister gave me and received a set amount from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, N.Y. The trade in was the down payment and after the approval I was shocked to find a much higher price for the car at a higher rate than agreed to at the time of sale. My interest rate was never discussed until the very last minute and the signing process went too fast to properly go through the monthly fees.The payment came to {$390.00} per month. The sale price was {$13000.00}. They brought the total up to {$22000.00}, which is the price paid by XX/XX/XXXX.I had assistance with the car payments from several veteran organizations over the past 10 months since I was in/out of the hospital 4 times having a XXXX XXXX on my XXXX XXXX, XXXX to my XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX. I went back to work after each procedure to earn money to stay alive. The veteran 's groups helped me to get caught up and on a recorded line, the rep for CA said that I was current.The last help coming from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX and the XXXX Unmet Needs program in XXXX, XXXX. I was still one month behind every month, no matter what I paid. I know that as a XXXX XXXX by trade, that I am allowed to record the phone call as long as the other parties were advised about the recording. The XXXX was on a recorded line with the rep for CA since they routinely record transactions made on behalf of veterans. I have a recording system in place for all business and I state that for every call that I record. Needless to say, the car was still behind and I landed a XXXX job as an XXXX XXXX for a large XXXX company. The man who brought me on XXXX, was called after CA cut me off again and demanded {$220.00} or they would not send me a signal to bypass the interruption device. He made a payment on my behalf to help me stay active. There were numerous interruptions by CA even after we made arrangements to make payments on a week to week basis. I tried to let them know if there was an issue with my pay, but they kept turning off the car. I am a XXXX and was being paid bi-weekly until I got to work for the company, who pays weekly. The problem with that is if I complete an inspection on a Monday and it is not reviewed that day or next, the job goes on the following weeks pay. The cut off for work is Wednesday, but the reviewers drag their XXXX and I do not see a full check until I have a good amount of work completed. I do get XXXX per mile for travel and submit my travel before Wednesday for all jobs that I schedule. The hurricane created a problem with communicating with the regional manager, the man who is in charge of assigning work and travel money. Much of the blame is on the weather, but I have not gotten a single response to my messages or email in 10 days. I was up against the wall on this and no matter how tough the situation is, CA does not care at all. They refuse to help and their actions result in people 's lives being altered due to lack of transportation. Their blatant refusal to work with people that are their core customer base is unheard of in this economy. On one hand, they give anyone financing, on the other, they add {$9000.00} to the cost of a relatively poor performing vehicle, knowing it will not last the term of the loan. They repo as many cars as they finance. How they lasted 45 years without being sanctioned by the government is beyond me. The courts in every state are filling up with lawsuits, not to mention that in my case, they are obstructing governmental administration and they are going to be sued by me. I am trying to re-finance my loan today and get away from them, the same as I did 10 years ago when I had the misfortune of having them as my lender. The car dealers will end up in the suit as well, but the U.S Govt really needs to do something about their predatory lending practices. The BBB gave them XXXX of a star and rates them lowest on their list of companies. I am thoroughly disgusted with the XXXX way the customer service pinheads act towards people in crisis mode. Normally I never wish harm to anyone, but I do hope these people go through the pain I went through. Nothing good will ever come from doing business with them. I will seek to make them suffer like so many out here. If the CEO or owners of the company were drowning, I would throw boulders at them to watch them go down like so many customers. No help is in site. No hope for a resolution. Only pain in the horizon. Keep praying for justice people.

Complaint: The vehicle in question was having serious mechanical issues 3 months after I got it. I took it to their only " authorized '' repair shop and they had it for a month and had other from other stores come and look at it as well and they stated that it could not be fixed. They rebuilt the engine and said that the problem of gas shooting out of the tailpipe was a serious issue and they could not figure out what was causing it or how to repair it. Since the car was not drivable and they gave up and no longer would continue to work on finding the issue, that there was nothing that could be done. It was repossessed from the repair place and my request. However, I am not liable for this money that was owed on the loan because it could not be repaired into a drivable condition by the only repair place that they would allow me to take it to. This needs to be removed off my credit reports because I am not liable for this loan any longer.

Denied request to lower payments
Complaint: I was in a accident on XX/XX/XXXX where my car was totaled. Because of this my insurance paid XXXX off of the loan on. There was a small amount left XXXX dollars left. I was contacted about the amount by Credit Acceptance which I told them they would be paid but I would need a car to get back and forth to work right away then I would pay them off afterward. I did asked if they could add the amount on to the loan with the new car if not I would have to get car first then pay the remaining balance off soon after. Honestly I could have waited for the settlement from the accident to pay it. It was almost paid off years ahead of time at 23 % interest. Even though I let them know of the accident they have called several times in a week sometimes in a day. They know the situation of me having been out of work for 2 months on doctor 's orders and even though I went back to work I would have to use my pay for the first couple of weeks to buy a car for work. We went to get a car XX/XX/XXXX and we have found out that they sent the balance to collections even though I have paid all the way up to the accident and then the insurance paid most of the balance. Credit Acceptance has been paid almost all of the loan except for maybe the interest by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I feel as a first time credit purchase this company has tried to strong arm into paying off the total balance despite the situation.
