Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX I'm writing in to file a complaint for identity theft. In XX/XX/XXXX a car loan was taken out in my name that i didn't take out. The only car loan that I have ever had was opened in XX/XX/XXXXthrough XXXX XXXX. This identity theft incident happened in XX/XX/XXXXwhen I put an ad out on XXXX to sell my furniture. I was relocating to XXXX, Ga. I filed a police report on XX/XX/XXXX because the person that bought the couch from me from XXXX had robbed my house of some goods and money. The attached police reports tells what happened. When I filed the police report I didn't know that the suspect had also stolen my Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, and state issued ID along with the other goods. I did not know about credit as I didn't have any need. I had bad credit from credit cards that I had in college and thought my credit was so bad that no creditor would even give me credit. In XX/XX/XXXXI was interested in the possibility of purchasing a house so I went to credit company to help. I didn't sign on with the company until XX/XX/XXXX and thats when I first was made aware that my identity had been stolen. Not only the car loan but it was also a XXXX XXXX bill and some other items that was on my report that were not opened by me. The company filed disputes to all three bureaus. I had went to get a police report from XXXX county but I wasn't sure of the dates of the first incident. Two of the three credit bureaus took the times off that were not my accounts but XXXX didn't take it off. Through XXXX I disputed twice. In XX/XX/XXXX I was in XXXX for the holidays and I went to get a copy the of the police report I initially filed and filed another police report about my stolen identity. I sent this information to XXXX and I contacted Credit Acceptance. Credit Acceptance said they would send me a fraud kit and never did. XXXX even with the police reports did not remove the account. Then I received a letter from Credit Acceptance that says it was no fraud. Im very frustrated my interest rates are sky high and I have been denied several times because of this account. Complaint: I talked to a CSR around XX/XX/XXXX about spreading my payment out over a year because I needed to do major repair on my car and the rep and I kinda went back and forth about how to handle making the payment I wanted to be sure that I won't be reported late and she did let me know it wasnt in the contract to do that what she could do is allow me to spread the payment but what she didnt warn me of that my payment would be reported late every month until I paid all the money I owed, so 4 months later and I'm still being reported late. I made the last payment on XX/XX/XXXX that made me current on all payments and then on XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice from XXXX saying I was 30 days late again I really need this to be resolved I'm also in the process of buying a home so your help is greatly needed and I have proof of all payments and, I also need to make it clear that up until this time I've never missed a payment and if I had known that it would be reported late I would have agreed to this atrocity.

Complaint: In XX/XX/ my vehicle was repossessed and I was verbally told I can redeem it as long as I paid a certain amount by the XX/XX/XXXX. I in fact paid it and was then told I needed a release to obtain my vehicle back. After several calls I finally received the release but when I called the auction where my vehicle was being stored for whatever reason they kept telling me they were closed, never received the release and I have to call several days later to make an appointment to retrieve my vehicle back. It now is days later and after several calls to the lien holder I still have no vehicle and since have lost my job since I have no way to work. Also I never received the statuory proper notices by mail per the NJ repo law stating they repossessed the vehicle.

Complaint: Went looking for a cheap car within our budget. Had no money for a down. Left the dealer satisfied and headed home and planned to move on. Phone rang a coupke miles away, said they would work with us. Turned and went to talk, was handed XXXX on the sly by a salesman. We didnt know what was happening. Took us to a back office with a girl who was rtying to get into my XXXX account and she was throwing millions of papers at us. We still had no idea what was going on. I had to go outside and was crying because if the pressure of her wanting in my personal bank account. I was confused when she said how much are u putting down! We said we told u nothing! We are a XXXX couple I have stage XXXX caner and my husband is a XXXX XXXX. We have a fixed income. She said NO ... .YOU ARE PUTTING XXXX DOWN.???? IM CRYING, MY HUSBAD IS CONFUSED AND THEY say take it home and see how u like it. We did ... calmed down and calked the next day and told them we couldnt afford it and sure wouldnt pay over XXXX for a XXXX used XXXX with no extras even if we could afford it. The dealership said its out of there hands.. Call the finance co. Which we did immediately. We told them the story, asked them to please come get it or we would take it back to XXXX if they wanted. After almost a month they came and got it and by the way they couldnt even start it to move it. The finance co. Said it would be sold at auction and we would have to pay the remainder. Now as you see, we were lied to, pressured, the XXXX produced a fraudulent loan with money they used from them for down and Our credit is screwed, and someway today the finance co. Fraudulently tried to withdraw almost XXXX from my husbands XXXX XXXX account. Please help us and help stop them from doing this to others.

Complaint: XXXX SUV Reposessed by Credit Acceptance XXXX - Judgment placed against me by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on behalf of Credit Acceptance for Balance of Original loan less sold value, plus interest XXXX - XXXX Garnishment From wages to pay balance XXXX - Called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stating my credit report is only showing a {$300.00} Balance left, after all of the garnishment Ive paid. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stated I owe an additional {$2400.00} at 9 % interest, however my credit report is now showing the repossession has been paid in full since XXXX/XXXX/XXXX.
Ive sent requests in writing to Credit Acceptance, and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for some sort of Ammortization schedule, or some sort of proof that there is still a balance. I also requested this information on the phone with Credit Acceptance who said I needed to speak with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on the matter. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX could not provide me with an ammortization schedule or information as to why my credit report balance decreased every month after payments were applied from the garnishment. They did state however that they only applied {$98.00} from the {$340.00} a month that was garnished towards the principal balance.
Since XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, they have taken almost {$600.00} in additional garnishment.

Complaint: I XXXX XXXX had ownership of a car from credit acceptence and I traded the car in at a dealership called XXXX XXXX in XXXX, NewYork part of XXXX. The dealer I gave the car to at XXXX XXXX never paid off the car, He never cut credit acceptence a check for the pay off amount for the car. The dealer ended up robbing XXXX XXXX of all the files and car deals that he made for the company. So, he stole my files to the car and any evidence that I traded in the car owned by credit acceptence. He ended up consequently getting my trade in car from credit acceptence reposssed off of the XXXX XXXX car lot. He called me months later after asking if I had the car, he knew that I didnt. I went to confront him and he was gone, the XXXX XXXX vanished I arrived to find out that a different LLC had taken ownership of that dealership. I now am stuck with the debt of XXXX being negatively affecting my credit profile. I have spoken to several representative at Credit Acceptance in relation to this matter. I also had the attorney general of Florida file a complaint on this dealers conduct. Also during the transaction of trading in the vehicle in the year between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX I requested that the president of Credit Acceptence get involve in this unfortunate event of my car buying experience, the president of Credit Acceptence bank called the dealer several time to try to get the dealer to cut the check in the amount of the trade in but the dealer at XXXX XXXX kept ignoring his phone calls, the president of credit acceptence did not make any notes on his attempts to reach the dealership on my account. I had paid the Car note prior to trading in the car owned by Credit Acceptance. I do not have any paper work to prove this complaint since XXXX XXXX vanished along with the dealer.

Complaint: I received a auto loan from Credit Acceptance in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX or XX/XX/XXXX Credit Acceptance sent for my car to be repossessed. I was forced to pay over {$300.00} to get my car back. Upon investigation of their claim of a past due amount, Credit Acceptance admitted that the REPOSSESSION was an error, and my account would be credited for the repossession/ storage fees. I paid the loan off in XX/XX/XXXX. The lender claimed I still owed money in XX/XX/XXXX, so I requested a detailed statement of account payments. The information provided was not clear and only confused matters. So I added all payment amounts posted by Credit Acceptance and it showed I was all paid up but they still refuse to release my title to car.
In XX/XX/XXXX, Credit Acceptance sent a repossession company to my house to extort me for a payment or they was going have them take the car. They also reported to the major credit reporting agencies false information, claiming account is closed even though there is a clear dispute with regards to amounts left on record as owed. Credit Acceptance still have not released the title to my car and they continue to have negative remarks on my credit reports preventing me from getting future loans and better rates or services.

Complaint: This is back in XXXX XXXX Virginia where me and my wife were going to check out a dealership called XXXX XXXX that was sending advertisements in the mail. We were gon na trade in our car for a more newer one. We were given an offer for them to buy our car and sell us a newer one. But at a much higher price. We did end up signing some paper work for them to see my credit score and see what they can do. Was n't good enough so we wanted to leave. They keeped pressuring us to do it and to use our credit cards or to contact family for money. After six hours trying to leave we had enough and told them no and asked for our keys back. They did not look happy. A day or two goes by and I check my credit score showing it went down about 35 to 40 points because I had two hard pulls from two different creditors for the used vehicle loan. It said I was denied when I did n't even go through with the dealership. Oh they also had me try to get a loan from XXXX so I also have that on XXXX credit score. Three hard pulls on the same day. One from XXXX XXXX, another from XXXX XXXX CO, and the last one from XXXX. All on the XXXX XXXX 2017. There is no amount because I was denied.

Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: I bought a car through XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX FL several years ago through credit acceptance. I have paid extra money plus regular payments charged per month. They have charged me extremely high interest and fees making difficult to pay loan off. I have called financing company to lower interest but no such luck. car loan is automatically taken out of bank account. I have never been late paying nor never missed a payment. In addition they have put non accurate information on credit report for amount paid. Since purchasing car XXXX XXXX went out of business. I think it should be illegal to charge so much interest and fees against people with low credit. I am XXXX veteran and feel there is no end in sight of ever paying off credit acceptance.
