Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Complaint: I received an initial written letter via mail regarding a debt I owe from XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX. This letter did not include the amount of debt I owe and only included a payment agreement, which I made over the phone. The letter states that I " have agreed to make monthly payments of {$500.00} with the first payment of {$1000.00} due by XX/XX/XXXX and a payment of {$500.00} due by the XX/XX/XXXXof each month following, until the balance owed is paid in full. Please note that 9 % interest does continue to accrue ''. I did not receive written verification of what the amount owed is, or how the interest is calculated. With the lack of written confirmation of exactly what I owe and how many payments of {$500.00} it will take to pay this debt off. I am concerned they have left this open-ended and have neglected to verify my payment plan with respect to how/when my balance will be paid in full, or what my starting balance is to begin with.I spoke with a representative about my concerns on XX/XX/XXXX.

Complaint: Despite being a victim of fraud and XXXX having a record of the police reports filed, XXXX continues to report debt 's that do not belong to me, information obviously not being verifying before reporting incorrect information to my credit file, this has been an issue with this reporting agency for a number of year 's now. Complaint: I contacted XXXX XXXX XXXX to have my extended warranty cancel they refused to do so stating that money would not be returned back to us then it will be applied to the lien holder which is Credit Acceptance. After contacting Credit Acceptance they refused work with us or lower our payments due to hardship and stand they repossess my car then they have a repossession showing on my credit report only after a week the car was taken not even contacted me or giving me an option to try to resolve the issue I would like for you to contact when Insurance Company as well as credit acceptance to resolve this matter is false advertisement. Complaint: I was told the total of the truck was XXXX my payment would be XXXX a month. I get my payment book and every payment says XXXX I call XXXX XXXX XXXX the guy says it because some months have more then 4 weeks in them. I make my 1st payment then by the time I make my 2nd payment they saying I owe XXXX dollars on the truck the paper work I signed the only paper work I got says XXXX but the kcredit place says I owe XXXX saying I gave the sales guy permission to sign my name on form which I never did so I was not aware of me being locked in for 5yrs paying XXXX a month oweing over 12,000 dollars in interest I was only made aware of it once I made a complaint to the credit people about my account saying I owe XXXX dollars.

Complaint: XXXX Was due to the company for missed payment. Arrangements was made three days ago for 2 payments of {$600.00} for the months of XXXX and XXXX. XXXX debt was paid XX/XX/2018 in the amount of {$600.00} as arranged. I still received a debt collection call from Credit Acceptance corporation to XXXX the full amount and they were very forceful!!!
I told them that I paid yesterday and I told hem not to call me anymore unless I am late for XXXX. But they will call again and I need it to stop.

Complaint: I had a problem intentionally getting the vehicle from the dealership as the term started and it put me behind two months. I have filed a complaint that was ignored. So I took Ownership and continued the payment. Every time I make a payment I would get calls all day everyday even at work and school. It became overwhelming. I told them to stop calling me and the calls stopped for a little under a month. Just recently the harassment calls started again. Now I want to pursue legal charges.

Complaint: Credit Acceptance Corp reported my husband and I 30 days late on both of our credit reports. I called to ask them what happened because I had made a payment and it posted to my account and I had a confirmation number. Credit Acceptance traced the payment to our 2nd car loan account and found that the payment had been placed on the wrong account. Well our insurance also just paid off that 2nd car due to an accident from all the horrible snow we have gotten. Credit acceptance said that even though the payment went to the wrong account they couldn't open that account again and place it o the right account because the account was paid off and closed now. I spoke with a XXXX from Credit Acceptance and she said that she was placing a note on our file that her supervisor told her for us to dispute it and then when it is investigated the can let the credit company know what happened and that it was not late. Well we disputed it our dispute came back today saying that credit acceptance told the credit bureaus that it was true and accurately reported as past due. So obviously whoever did the investigation is just horrible at their job and not very thorough or the person working at Credit Acceptance didn't look into our file to see the notes they said they had placed.
Either way, this company has violated our FCRA rights and is making false allogations because they can look into their system and see that our payment was made in to the 2012 XXXX XXXX account not the XXXX XXXX account like we said and then see the notes from previous phone calls that they are supposed to be taking as part of their jobs. They also said the call was recorded so there are those records as well.

Billing problem
Complaint: I was sold a vehicle that stop running and required a lot of maintenance after a few months. When approved I was advise nothing was wrong with the vehicle, also the inspection was up to date. I constantly tried returning the vehicle but no luck. I was advised by Credit Acceptance Corp that if I did a voluntary repo they would have someone come get the vehicle, resell it, and not report it to any credit bureaus. This voluntary repo is being reported to all 3 CRAs and the information being reported in inaccurate. There are also 2 tradelines on my reports for this account and both are reporting different, and inaccurate information. I also disputed, and sent 2 dept validation letters and received no response. It has been passed 30 days and by law this debt must be removed, or addition action will be taken.

Problem with fees charged
Complaint: Good evening.
I purchased a vehicle in XXXX of 2015. The finance company is Credit Acceptance Corporation.
The original price of the vehicle was {$6400.00}. I put down {$3000.00} After providing my downpayment, as I went to sign my finance papers, I was informed that XXXX adds an extra {$2000.00} onto the price of the vehicle for their " lending service fee ''. Then, on top of that, since it made the loan more than what the vehicle is worth ... I was required to pay them a MANDATORY GAP insurance payment that was included in my monthly payment.
Now, I understand that a higher finance rate is acceptable when starting over to rebuild your credit. But I have since found out that XXXX has been sued and found guilty in many states due to their " lending fee '' as it is considered predatory lending. Not to mention, GAP insurance is voluntary. I would not have even needed it if not for their {$2000.00} " lending fee ''.
