Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I financed a car through Credit Acceptance Corp. A small car deaIership XXXX XXXX XXXX but all the paperwork has XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was told the cash price was XXXX then I was told the price of this car was XXXX, but if I financed it. The finance company makes the amount based on the XXXX XXXX value. I was charged XXXX as well as they included GAP insurance which I didn't agree on for XXXX. One XX/XX/XXXX the check engine light came on as well as the passenger airbag disabled. I texted the salesmen a picture and told him I was not satisfied with this car. He said call the service department. On XX/XX/XXXX the car lost power on the beltway about 50 miles from my home. I had the car towed to the nearest repair shop for diagnostic {$170.00}. The repair shop called the car has water damage to one of the main computer modules and the 02 sensor needs repairing the total cost is XXXX. Not to mention the passenger and exterior light problem light. The servicemanager/owner has requested that I have this car towed back to him at my expense which is XXXX. He will look at it and honor his 50/50 limited warranty. which I would have to pay half as well. CAC said I'm still obligated to pay for this car.

Complaint: Credit Acceptance corporation as a collection agent called too many times in a harassing way. My purpose after much research and development to dispute credit data ; derogatory remarks, credit reporting, correct and or inaccurate citations reported by creditors and its responsibility according to Consumer Credit Reform Act XXXX, against namely Credit Acceptance Corporation. I submit to you in writing, obtaining and annotating this data also makes XXXX, XXXX, & XXXX consumers.
It is unfair to me that some aspects are reports and others are not. Fair in my opinion, would be " removal those negative citation " and here 's why. Any Perspective businesses, creditors, employers alike would be prejudice to this report. XXXX XXXX XXXX said " an unfair law is no law at all ''. Loan sold or transferred to another company
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, LA XXXX sold a XXXX XXXX XXXX to myself with a co-signer XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, they claim that I would have to sign a NEW CONTRACT and a NEW PROMISSORY NOTE ( # 2 ). We both resign the contract and I noticed that the original creditor never signed to contract anywhere. I tried to endorse the NOTE " Pay to the Order of the United States of America without Recourse '' originally but the resign was all electronic so i was not able to make the endorsement of the NOTE as I am the MAKER and Owner of the NOTE. The account was sold to CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP. I sent DEBT VALIDATION DOCUMENTS demanding that they validate the DEBT and they have failed to do so to this date. The COLLECTION AGENCY admitted that they didn't HAVE THE ORIGINAL PROMISSORY NOTE and I concluded that they do not have the RIGHTS or STANDING to collect the debt. On XX/XX/XXXX, CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP tried to ILLEGALLY REPOSSESS THE VEHICLE, resulting in myself hiding the vehicle until they can legally VALIDATE THE DEBT. I have recorded conversations with COLLECTOR where they claim they have a signed contract between myself, co-signer and CREDIT ACCEPTANCE CORP and have failed to produce any proof of a VALID AGREEMENT AND/OR CONTRACT. They are in DISHONOR!

Complaint: Hello, I have called this company numerous times to get this issue resolved but this company is refusing to assist me during this fraud case of someone purchasing a car in my name. Problem with the interest rate
Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I went to XXXX XXXX to purchase a car for cash. I chose a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I agreed to make cash payments to the dealership within 4 months to pay cash price for vehicle. I gave XXXX XXXX a total of {$1000.00}. In XX/XX/XXXX I started receiving phone calls from Credit Acceptance. The representative informed me that Credit Acceptance Company financed the vehicle. I tried to explain the agreement that I had with XXXX XXXX at the dealership. I never received a Bill of sale, odometer disclosure, flood disclosure or any other documents the dealer is required by the state of North Carolina to provide. I explained to the representative that I did not sign loan documents. I requested that the company send me a copy of all loan documents. Credit Acceptance refused to send me any documents. The Credit Acceptance representative did tell me that the car was finance for {$18000.00} and the payoff is {$10000.00}. The interest rate is 22.5 % over the legal limit usury rate. I received copies of the documents in an email response to the XXXX XXXX XXXX from Credit Acceptance on XX/XX/XXXX, five months after I supposedly signed finance documents to purchase a vehicle that according to XXXX XXXX XXXX is only valued at {$3400.00}. I recently learned that XXXX XXXX has owned many deceptive car dealerships over the years. He changes the name of his dealerships to avoid abiding by the laws. Complaint: I began a vehicle loan with Credit Acceptance aroundXX/XX/XXXX. I have never missed or been late on a payment. At the start of my agreement, the dealership setup my account with Credit Acceptance for auto pay ; The dealer entered the incorrect account numbers. I called credit acceptance consistently for 1 week to find out why the money had not been withdrawn from my checking account. Once they advised that the payment was returned I paid immediately using my debit card. InXX/XX/XXXX Credit Acceptance upgraded their website with actual account holder information ( previously you could only make payments and it was done through XXXX XXXX ). With their upgrade, when I went online to make my monthly payment, it shows my balance being almost {$1000.00}. I was shocked and outraged, when I called Credit Acceptance to inquire what was happening, the rep ( who was really nice ) advised me that my account has been reporting past due from the very first payment and that I have accumulated a multitude of late fees. After our conversation, I immediately checked my credit score and it was decreased by 150 points. I am outraged!

Unable to receive car title or other problem after the loan is paid off
Complaint: I financed a car from XXXX XXXX i recieved the loan through credit acceptance XX/XX/18. I went to register my car and the DMV said my car was a stole car my son was put in handcuffs and we were detained. I happened to have my financing paperwork with me so the officer seen that I didnt steal the car. The officer ran a check on the paperwork that i provided him with and found out that the car lot sold the car I financed to someone out of state. I contacted the dealership about the incident and they returned my down payment .I also contacted the bank to get the money i paid into the car loan they said that they would be sending me a refund check for the amount i paided into the vehical that was on XX/XX/18 now when i call asking about my check the bank reffer me to the car lot and vise versa. I asked if they could put track on the check and i get no help.

Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX my bank didn't pay my car loan because my overdraft protection was accidentally removed. I noticed in XX/XX/XXXX that my car payment with Credit Acceptance wasn't taken out I contacted them on XX/XX/XXXX asking about my payment the representative said I had a payment scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX, on XX/XX/XXXX no payment was reflected on my account. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and was advised again a payment was scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX, no payment was taken out. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a notice from the credit bureau showing my car not was reported as late and my credit score dropped 78 points. I contacted Credit Acceptance again this rep told me I had a payment scheduled to come out on XX/XX/XXXX, I asked was it other ways I could make my payment she said online I checked it would not allow me to log in I called back in and the rep told me I needed to create a new again because they no longer used XXXX XXXX for their payment company. I still wasn't able to make a payment online because the system said I had a payment scheduled in the system. I called back and was advised my account needed to be deactivated to allow me to make a payment online, I made a payment. I still haven't received any correspondence advising me on my loan being past due or that their was an issue with their system. On XX/XX/XXXX I put in a complaint with the better business bureau after calling again to the company and no one could explain why my payments were not being deducted. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a call from a rep in the compliance department who advised me my auto pay was XXXX, she then explained I could make my payment online and explained why the payment did not go through she could not explain why the previous reps did not know this or why they would tell me to check with my bank because my bank was blocking the payments ( which was incorrect ). I received another call from that same compliance rep today XX/XX/XXXX advising me she would place notes on my account but she could not remove the late payment charges on my credit. Because of the miseducation of the reps of Credit Acceptance, I can no longer purchase my house and will be evicted from my home because it is showing my car loan as past due for an error on their part. I can understand XX/XX/XXXX payment issue but going forward that was a issue on the company, I was also told that when I missed a payment before they would change my biweekly payments from {$210.00} to {$230.00} and this would not report my car loan as late but when I spoke to the compliance rep today that was incorrect. I would like the late payment charged removed so that I can get approved for my mortgage as well as get a better company to handle my car loan.

Complaint: I get repeat calls and voice mails from credit acceptance, I defaulted on a loan and they have had two repossession companies call about the vehicle and were told by me to come and get the vehicle on both occasions, no one ever showed up, now credit acceptance will not stop calling me very several different 8 different phone numbers, I know its them because most of the time they leave a recorded message stating who they are, I get 10- 15 calls and voicemails a day 7 days a week from them, Its a little rediculous, especially after not picking up the vehicle on two different occasions

Complaint: Some recent identity theft has caused me to look deeper into my credit report. I have attached a screen shot of fraud alerts on all 3 credit bureaus. During this process I have noticed several inquires I do not recognized and are UNAUTHORIZED. One of them being by Credit Acceptance marked XX/XX/XXXX on my XXXX report. I tried to contact Credit Acceptance directly through certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX. The letter was mailed to the mailing address listed on my credit report. I have attached the certified receipt. It was delivered to Credit Acceptance XX/XX/XXXX via certified mail. It has been well over a month and I have not received a response from them. Thus I am assuming they have no such documentation to pull my credit. I do not recall giving anyone at your company permission to pull my credit. I have not applied for credit with your company. Please respond and include a copy of the application with my signature giving you permission to pull my credit, as per the FCRA. The application must state that I agree to give your company permission to pull my credit report. If you do not have an application with my name and signature on file, you are required by law to immediately contact the credit bureaus and remove the hard inquiry from my credit file. If you argue that the approval was given over the phone, then I expect a print out of the full details of the conversation be sent to me, as well. If you argue permission was given through an other company I expect you to provide documentation of that too. I have attached a FTC advisory opinion as to what is considered permissible purpose and what is considered " written instructions '' that are required by the FCRA. It is obvious someone thought that collecting only {$71.00} wasn't very much..so they jacked it up XXXX percent because they had me on the hook with this small balance showing an open collection.

Complaint: My initial complaint through CFPB about Credit Acceptance was submitted on XX/XX/XXXX ( XXXX ). My complaint is related to Credit Acceptance failure to notify the co-signer as well as myself of intent to sell a repossessed vehicle. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a phone call from XXXX XXXX. XXXX was unprofessional during the phone call, as it seemed as if he was trying to coerce me into saying that I received notification of intent to sell. Credit Acceptance responded to my initial complaint by providing documents that were supposedly sent to the co-signer as well as myself. The problem that I have with the alleged proof a notification sent before selling the vehicle is that the co-signer denies receiving notification as implied in the response by Credit Acceptance. The co-signer has resided at her residence for over 10 years. Therefore, its not possible that she didnt receive notification due to relocation. Hypothetically speaking, if its a possibility that I didnt receive my notification because of an issue related to the postal service, how can it be possible that two individuals with separate addresses not receive mail coming from the same company. I strongly feel that the documents provided by Credit Acceptance are falsified.
