Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX we went to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX Va to get a reliable used vehicle for our extended family since I was XXXX. The tire pressure light was on, a weird smell was in the car that we assumed at the time was a new car smell when the car is on u can smell a burnt residue from oil or something under the hood. By Thursday XX/XX/XXXX check engine light comes on. Cars rpm goes close to red which is over 4 by only driving 30 mph. And continuously increases as gas pedal is applied. Ran self diagnosis shift solenoid a stuck on ( permanent ) code p0752. Transmission control system ( malfunction indicator lamp request ) pending. Code p0700. Cylinder 1 misfire detected pending. Code p0301. Dealer takes car back until XX/XX/XXXX. Their resolution was to change spark plugs and coil pack which they denied receiving any solenoid or transmission codes and I have pictures of the codes. So they allegedly replaced the coil pack and plugs did not give a work order when requested. By Tuesday XX/XX/XXXX we got the car back the night of the XX/XX/XXXX because my husband works. Check engine light came back on immediately after driving the car to work 30 miles on the XX/XX/XXXX. Emailed XXXX XXXX XXXX and did a self diagnosis check again. Code p0420 catalyst system efficiency below bank 1 threshold. Current history mil. And code p0989 : transmission fluid pressure sensor switch e circuit low history. Car performance was the same as before. I was scared to have my kids in the car that was supposed to be our relief car. Rpm continues to shoot to red and this time car wo n't drive steadily or efficiently. Dealer determines catalyc converter is the solution and decides to replace it. During this time period I had a XXXX at XXXX XXXX of my XXXX XXXX from a XXXX XXXX. And I had no time to be emotional just to worry about this car. And Again no work order for the to give car is returned to us on XX/XX/XXXX, 16 days later. Upon getting the car back the front right headlight is out. Oil service light was on it was yellow with a wrench warning light instead of the normal red oil warning light. When my husband started the vehicle the front hood was smoking and smelled like burning residue. They offered a complimentary oil change and to replace headlight. On the XX/XX/XXXX my husband and I took the car to XXXX on a weekend marriage retreat so the car was parked the whole time at the hotel. Everything appeared to be running well. By XX/XX/XXXX the check engine light is back on gas light is on tire pressure light still on oil service light so multiple service lights on. Rpm shooting to red again car will not travel more than 45 mph and rpm steadily increases as gas is applied. As of XX/XX/XXXX we had the car a total of 11 days out of 31 days. So on the 12th day the same problem still existed. Took it to our mechanic before calling XXXX XXXX XXXX and he states exhaust problems and transmission solenoid. Called XXXX XXXX to take the car back they refused. I said I would call the finance company which is credit acceptance corp and he calls back immediately telling me they will cancel the extended warranty that is on our vehicle if we call them and nothing will get fixed and since it was past 30 days that they couldnt help. I explained to XXXX from XXXX XXXX we have only had the car for 12 days and he said it didnt matter but scheduled us to come meet him at XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX on the XX/XX/XXXX. He arrived at XXXX and sent us to XXXX XXXX in XXXX va to get the solenoid fixed. They have known it was the solenoid since week 1, but they pay the XXXX dollar deductible since the extended warranty had just kicked in and gave a loaner. Car was ready on XX/XX/XXXX. Requested paperwork from XXXX XXXX and they couldn't give us a work order either I dont understand why but they did inform us when they went to the XXXX dealership to plug up before fixing thr solenoid that the car had prior transmission problems which was not in our XXXX. Took car back Friday evening it was rough coming home and it was hissing. Called XXXX XXXX they sent us back to XXXXXXXX XXXX in XXXX and we deternined the hiss to be low power steering fluid and the roughness of the car was the transmission readjusting since they had to reset the computers. We went home. On XX/XX/XXXX I went to XXXX XXXX for the complimentary oil change we were promised and XXXX was not there XXXX his financial associate sent me to XXXX XXXX which they are affiliated to get it done. They didn't notice a leak or anything to my knowledge on that day. I started to notice oil blotches underneath where we park our car. Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX when my husband was off I decided to check all of the fluids and the oil dipstick was dry. So just 5 days after the oil change I took the car to XXXX to see what was wrong. They give me a paper saying oil leak. Front crank seal oil pan gasket and timing cover needed to be looked into. Idk how that happens in a 5 day period unnoticed but again the dealership works with XXXX they also do all of their inspections. So I call XXXX XXXX and they tell me its covered in my extended warranty and I told them I read that it was not. XXXX still insisted that it was. So I call XXXX XXXX in XXXX and he tells me it is not covered but of common courtesy he would check it out for me and he verified what XXXX had told me about the front crank seal tried to call XXXX XXXX back and XXXX never returned our call. So I made a XXXX review of every problem I have had and am currently going through on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX calls me telling me that I'm a liar none of this ever happened and that my husband and I are both very bad people and kept on at me. And after everything I have been through within the last month I hung up that is not what I need to hear from anyone. My husbamd contacted the attorney general about this problem on XX/XX/XXXX. And the problems keep arising. Our other car does not run very well so I monitored the oil to take this same car to work didn't make it a mile from my house on Saturday XX/XX/XXXX at XXXXXXXX XXXX and all of the warning lights in the car flashed on and off and beeped 3 times like my car was about to shut down. I turned around took it home and I am scared to drive it. I was planning on fixing the crank seal this week but now I don't know what this new problem is so I have to put the money in my old car just so my husband and I can get to and from work. We are now paying for a car that we can not drive and even if the warranty would be eliminated after calling the credit acceptance corp it makes no difference at this point. It was a holiday weekend so my husband is planning on calling them today and hoping for the best. All we seem to get is bad news.

Complaint: Re : XXXX, credit acceptance ... ..XXXX, cfpb ; all reference appears to be in the co-signers name, XXXX XXXX instead of the " car owner 's '' name..reidun creamer, my daughter . quite clear is the premise of XXXX 's credit report, and quite clear is the company 's reporting to the credit bureaus ... .however, since CAC ( credit acceptance corporation ) is a high risk consumer acceptance company with 21 % or higher interest rate in Colorado to XXXX, with XXXX as co-signer ; and since duplication of any notices to either parties sent, minus any telephonic inquiries to either party wondering or stating that possibly an error in account numbers may exist and why would reidun buy this car with {$1600.00} down and make no payments whatsoever causing a repossession. If CAC would find presence and premise to show relief from reporting this account as a repossession on XXXX 's account, he can go forward with a VA home purchase. if the negative reporting remains, then both XXXX and XXXX may have no recourse but both filing Chapter XXXX bankruptcy, not using the CAC account as credit going forward. We do believe errors on both side exist, and possibly a solution can be seen to rectify and reward.

Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX NC XXXX. Worked a deal and signed the paperwork for a used car loan. Credit Acceptance financed XXXX $ The down payment was unable to be met because of circumstances out of my control. I contacted XXXX after canceling the check for XXXX $ saying I need to bring the vehicle In and that there was a hang up with the money wire me and my co-signer were expecting to arrive that day from a staffing company based on the west-coast. XXXX continued to string me along and push the days out more and more to give me time to bring, XXXX $ to keep the vehicle in my possession. On XX/XX/XXXX I successfully was able to get to the dealership in the hours that the owner was still present and he lied multiple times about the financing and my only option moving forward. I Willing gave the dealership all keys and property to the XXXX XXXX XXXX. My personal belongings and tools were in the back replacing the third-row seating. the owners father agreed that i am not to get any of my tools back until the third row seating was brought back. I agreed and assured them i would be back momentarily after calling an XXXX to get to my bosses truck to retrieve the third row. the owners son was swearing and acting foolish, wile I held professionalism. When returning the third row seating the owner take them out the truck and locks them away, and tells me Im XXXX and that Im not getting my belongings until he receives XXXX $ from me He threatens a Lawsuit. I proceed to step outside call my legal representation and am instructed to not leave. XXXX XXXX XXXX badge # XXXX responds at XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX after being dispatched for a call received from XXXX the owner of XXXX.I awarded all my property and turn over all of XXXX 's. Currently Credit acceptance has not been able to get in-touch with XXXX, XXXX has relinquished the title and Credit Acceptance has a lien on it. I am being held responsible for a car loan and Payment for a Vehicle that XXXX Illegally Has for sale on there website showing inaccurate Mileage. Credit Acceptance is holding me responsible for the payment. XXXX XXXX XXXX is conducting illegal business in many ways, not holding up to do-diligence, and the Active car loan on my Report has cost me thousands and dropped mine and my co-signers Credit score. They are in the process of actively attempting to commit fraud by keeping the Financed XXXX $ and resell the vehicle with out proper 10 day notification of sale of the vehicle i currently am responsible for and have legal ownership of, all at my expense. As of XX/XX/XXXX I still do not have possession of the vehicle and have lost almost 30 days of work and income because of not having a means of transportation.

Complaint: We purchase the XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX last year in XX/XX/XXXX. The vehicle did not have the warranty so we brought a extended warranty. There have been several recalls on this vehicle. I ask them can we trade the vehicle and get something else which can even out the difference. They told me that I could purchase another vehicle and they said I would get another car so they appraise it and they assure me that I would not have put anything down. Then the next day they told me that I had to come up with some money, but you told me that I did not since you had all of these rebates. I feel this is bad business practice and that they knew this XXXX XXXX had no warranty but yet it was out on the parking lot for sale. We only had this vehicle for a year and put XXXX down as they down payment and it still has had 2 recalls within the past year. Also I want to add this we purchase the vehicle at XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ten XXXX phone number is XXXX. The website is XXXX. This company is not providing the needs of the customer if the product is defective. I will have to wait several days in order for them to find out what is wrong with my vehicle but what is the vehicle breaks down ... I have to call them to find out if they have availability, yet the vehicle runs like a piece of XXXX.

Complaint: Credit Acceptance account XXXX, have reported in my credit that i voluntary repo, i didnt my estranged husband jump on me and took my car in XX/XX/XXXX and i havent seen it since, ( call police and they told me it was his property as well even though he wasnt on the loan ) until one day he call and curse me out saying haha i turn ur car in, but when i call credit acceptance i was told that they didnt have my car and that i need to file a report, so a few days later the police confirmed that it was a voluntary repo, but wasnt by me about that time i finally got the company to admit they had it, it was sold and never was given any info how much it was sold for until seen on my credit, they havent reported since XX/XX/XXXX, this is and repo on my credit that could have been avoided if they wouldve admitted they had my car and i paid to get it out, but they didnt, now this bad Mark on my credit they just have here no updating just there, i tried to reach out to them plenty times with no help this is unprofessional and really dont care now since it been almost 5 years they lied to me that they didnt pick up my car i never volunteer them to do that as they report on my credit .. please help

Complaint: The auto house in my city was scamming people big time it was all over the news and I was one of the customers involved. I went in to purchase a car and they had just got a trade in. They immediately sold me the car without checking the car out. I was promised that if I found anything wrong to bring it to them to be fixed free of charge. After 2 weeks I tried to get them to start fixing some major problems such as no heat, XXXX converter clogged up, and more they failed to honor their word. Complaint: 1.On XX/XX/XXXX I physically signed ( ink signature ) to purchase a used XXXX XXXX 2.Within a week the XXXX XXXX broke down on the highway 3.I immediately notified ( seller ) XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, NC ( XXXX ) and told me to tow it to my home and XXXX will tow the vehicle with their mechanic & fix the problem. 4.While vehicle sat for a week, I had a mobile Co. conduct a diagnostic. Results : rear brakes on driver-side were metal to metal and needed to be replaced, also clutch was not functioning, slve cylinder needed to be replaced, also nut that holds shifter mechanism down was broken and someone tried to weld it back and would need transmission to repair it. 5.On XX/XX/XXXX the XXXX XXXX was finally picked up by XXXX XXXX XXXX 6.In the interim, I had to rent vehicles to go to work etc. 7.XXXX, offered a vehicle in which they came unannounced to took the loaner due to them closing down abruptly. 8. On XX/XX/XXXX, with my XXXX XXXX in their possession stated they were closing and I will need to pay their unknown mechanic the repairs. 9. I requested for XXXX to furnish a Mechanical Vehicle Report, location and status on the vehicle. I received nothing but back and forth confirmation from unknown reps upon XXXX closing. 10. Please note : I received harassing phone calls from " XXXX '' a sales agent with XXXX that was never licensed to sell in North Carolina. 11. Since XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX and their mechanic was never seen and my vehicle I never had in my possession to date. 12. I informed Credit Acceptance about this entire ordeal and Credit Acceptance the lender stated they conducted an investigation on-site after XXXX closed and they did not confirm nor provided me details results of their investigation such as date, time, agent who investigated this Auto Fraud etc. 13. In return, to date have accumulated bad credit reporting from Credit Acceptance, no vehicle in possession, no information from XXXX owner about the location of my vehicle, the NC attorney general office did not even receive a response from XXXX owner referencing my complaint, Credit Acceptance never to date confiscated / repo the vehicle nor did they conduct any investigation referencing my complaint. 14. I am currently receiving harassing calls from unknown numbers.

Complaint: I had purchased a car from XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXXXXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. While purchasing the car I had given them a checking account number from XXXXXXXX XXXX that I no longer use by mistake and they proceeded to process the loan. The loan holder was Credit Acceptance Co ( Account number XXXX ) In XX/XX/XXXX the car was repossessed without my knowledge that I had missed any payments. I was not informed payments were being missed. The first notice I had received was dated XX/XX/XXXX, showing a late payment {$490.00} ( attached ) then another late notice sated XX/XX/XXXX, that showed that I owed {$12000.00} in late payments and fees ( see attached ) On XX/XX/XXXX, I recovered the car through Credit Acceptance Co by paying the past due amount {$750.00} ( one payment past due plus repo fee, see attached ) and am now in possession of the car, with renegotiated loan terms, rolling the additional late payments back into the loan. Now that the car is no longer a repossession, I have reached out toe Credit Acceptance on numerous occasions to see if they could remove the repossession from my credit report. They have refused to do so. I was in the process of buying a home and with the repo on my credit report, I am no longer able to obtain financing because of the repo being on my report. I assumed by paying what I owed and retaining ownership of the car the repo could and would be removed from my report.

Complaint: My car was repod on XX/XX/XXXX ... i payed to retrieve my car on XX/XX/XXXX. Was unable to physically pick up my car until XX/XX/XXXX bc my car was shipped to auction with the intent to sell prematurely. After getting the run around and having property stolen out of my car which a police report was filed. I was still within my 15 days of redemption. The finance company credit acceptance corporation reported on XX/XX/XXXX that the account was closed and a reposession was placed on my credit report. After i spoke with them repeatedly during the XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX time frame and treated like i personally stoke money owed each rep they said the account was still open and now i have {$3000.00} additional added to my already high car loan and when Im only late around {$1400.00} and i paid {$560.00} to get my car back. This is legit a predatory lender and they lie to get the funds they want. Im already paying extremely too much for a car that was a lemon when they financed it and have spent well over {$2000.00} in the last 3 months to fix it. Regardless of late payments i dont need incorrect information reported on my credit report. I would like this resolved just as quickly as it was reported. Since yall were so quick to try and sell my car before my time was up. I already called and was to have someone in credit reporting look into it yet all i get was remarks. No the loan is still open and i would like it reported accordingly.

I HAVE BEEN SUED IN REGARDS TO THIS LEMON OF A TRUCK AND HAD MULTIPLE THREATS AND NOW THEY REFUSE TO TAKE IT OFF MY CREDIT REPORT AS WELL, IF I HAD KNOWN THE LEMON LAW AT THE TIME I WOULD HAVE FILED A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM. I was hit from behind in a 4 vehicle collision in XX/XX/2018. and the car was not driving as it should have commerce agreed to pay car off in full credit acceptance agreed to communicate with commerce claims to get money for vehicle and commerce is giving me a hard time with paying off car so now credit acceptance taking attitude out on me threatening me to take to court and ruin my credit. I received about 2-3 calls a week after I asked them to please stop CALLING ME I HAVE NO POSSESSION OF VEHICLE. XXXX XXXX agreed to pay off car so they need to deal with commerce I have not had this vehicle since XX/XX/2018. I explained manny times this has affected my health drastically and interference with mental health causing more medical issues because of panic attacks and harassment. I explained I get XXXX social security not working. They are inconsiderate and yell and argue with me like crazy people in Street. Unprofessional and inappropriate customer service. They always say OWELL YOU REQUESTED LOAN NOT US.

Complaint: Credit Acceptance lied on several occassions 1 ) Stated dealer would cover repairs XX/XX/18 phone call 2 ) Not mechanical issue and wear and tear my problem even though car sold in such poor condition and unsafe. 3 ) I never contacted them see response XX/XX/18 by credit Acceptance and my attached phone log. 4 ) Lied in second response on when diagnostics received and requested and asked I send via a unsecured network. XXXX email address provided and diagnostics sent. Was told after sending that network not secure. 5 ) Car would not have purchased if a warranty wasnt provided and again warranty had no pre exsisting clauses and implying I had knowledge of issues is also untrue. Dealer agreement with Credit Acceptance reguarding implied warranty being overlooked by Credit Acceptance for this case. Is online to see. 6 ) Last response lied and all capabilities to get information on account status, payoff suspended right after submitting a false respone that is available and current. 7 ) Calling Customer Service and they refuse to answer any questions requarding account and said will only send letters. 8 ) Stated polies and procedures to prevent high mark ups in place but failed to state what and provide system uses to have prevented. Link attached 9 ) Contract never provided and on camera at dealership 10 ) Company retaliation, harrassment for fililing 11 ) States Credit reporring correct and no proff and XXXX XXXX isnt accurate? It is updated in seconds and very accurate. Still mis reporting credit balnces and major increases and decreases prior to any payments. Refusal to update recent payments or discuss.
