Complaint: Last yea r, Citibank took over Costco ' s XXXX XXXX card. During this time I was away on a trip. Upon my return I could no longer log into XXXX Bill Pay an d was told the card was no longer valid. I cut my card up. It to ok Citibank a couple months to contact me that they had taken over the account. I asked for a statement showing my last balances and payments with COSTCO card since I could no longer access that and always paid bills on line. There was no response. A couple months later I started receiving calls from Citibank to collect the balance due. Well in this day and age of scams you would be stupid to hand your payment over to someone on the phone so I asked for the statement which I was told would be mailed. I clarified my address etc. No statement came. This scenario repeated itself-calls from them, sometimes several in a week, and my request to see a statement. I never got a statement despite the promises. For all I knew it was a scam . 2 we eks ago I got a letter from XXXX financial -Citibank had turned over my account for collection. I told the lady what had happened and how I have never received a statement. She was able to get and mail m e one. I paid what was owed but do n't feel I should be paying late fees etc when Citibank could not or would not produce a statement. The Financial company could not negotiate that, so as a consumer I am just screwed by Citibanks inco mpetence in the takeover of the Costco XXXX cards. I intend to shift any other credit I have with Citibank to another provider. They do not deserve the business.

Complaint: I discovered XXXX checks from my ESCROW OVERAGE account that I had n't cashed. I have gone to all steps & measures to get these reissued. See 9 pages of documentation. I was never notified the checks were not cashed, nor were the funds turned into the State of IL. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX were bought by Citibank. I was finally able to track down the mortgage & they found the info & instructed me to send the info so they can reissue the checks. Since then, I have received nothing but a run around of excuses of why they can not reissue the checks. They keep instructing me to contact XXXX XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXX back which are now dba as Citibank & Citimortgage. I keep telling them you are them, then they tell me either the checks part did n't get transferred to them or I signed off the mortgage & there is nothing they can do. # 1 The checks are from ESCROW OVERAGE. # 2 The monies were an asset that got transferred somewhere. Generally in a sale all assets & liabilities get bought. # 3 If they have all my other info on my loan & a # was assigned to it & the 1st 2 people I talked to walked me through it & told me what to do, why ca n't I get these reissued as they said would happen. I have contacted my bank ( & gone through all old records with them ) & government agencies & they all tell me since it is ESCROW OVERAGE money they should be reissued. I am at a standstill with Citibank/Citimortage/Citi group.

Complaint: Sears/Citi-Bank Master Card : Amount : {$4900.00} I had called before and closed the account and made payments arrangements on the account faithfully! That was probably sometime in XXXX . I made all payments as agreed on the clo sed Citi-Bank Master Card wh ich they have agreed to. Then in XXXX XXXX ; I had to have XXXX XXXX r XXXX and had XXXX ; so I was out of work for at l east two ( 2 ) m onths ; and had reduced pay ; so I was not able to pay the amount owed ; I called them at l east three time s to discuss ; and the collection agents were not negotiable at all and said I had to pay the whole amount. I told them I could not and they said well you have to pay. I tried to negotiate a lower payment and they did not want to listen and they were just rude agents. Their tactics were not good. I tried to pay like {$25.00} toward the bill and they would not agree. They basically hung the telephone up on me! They are suing me now ; which I do not think is right ; Sears is in Bankruptcy Court and they are having financial problems so they should work with their clients also in this situation as they know financial troubles al so. Citi-Bank is who the Master Card was a ffiliated with. I would like to pay {$25.00} per month on this bill as I am attempting to do something. I do not want to go to court or be sued or garnished wages in this endeavor. Any assistance or counsel you can give in this matter with Sears/Citi-Bank will be greatly appreciated!!! Complaint: Hello ... .My name is XXXX XXXX . I live at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Ma. XXXX . I have a complaint regarding th e Sears branch of Citibank credit card. The bank has been holding back checks that have been sent to them for payment that have been well within the due date and thus the next bill has late fees and fines. This happens continuously so that the consumer never has a chance to " catch up '' the fees just continue and the balance actually grows. I have always been a good customer of Sears for the las t thirty years and had never encountered a problem like this until recently. I thought it may be an isolated issue but after speaking with my husband who has his own credit card account with them have come to find that he has been having the same problem. I did some online research and found hundreds of very similar complaints from other customers. Because of this behavior on their part, I am paying off the entire balance in full via certified letter so that I will have proof that they received the last payment well within the due date. My request of you is that someone in your office please do some research regarding the aforementioned complaint and any other complaints that you may have received about Sears credit card. What they are doing maybe legal but in no way is it ethical. I do n't think it should be allowed as I may be lucky enough to have the monetary resources to rid myself of them but others without the financial ability to do so are basically enslaved by them in a " company store '' manner. Complaint: Had a horrible experience wit h Citibank an d having been trying to resolve since XXXX 2016. Spo use opened a credit card in my name and bank did not get routing number correct for auto payment. Which turned in to two months of non payment. Recieved a phone call finally in XXXX of past due amount and upon confirming I do indeed have account with them paid it immediately and was advised no negative action would be taken if paid in full that day. I was lied to and they ended up sending it to my credit report which negatively impacted m y credit score goi ng from XXXX down to XXXX . Numb er one the y never confirmed I am th e one opening said such account and number two state d they would not report this do to a clerical error. They refuse to remove the negative comment and state they sent emails of past due amount. I admit there is email after going back to history but since I never opened the account fiqured it was fraud and someone trying to get my personal information. Please look into this as I am sure I am not the only one they are doing this to.

Complaint: I have citi bank thank you premier credit card. Aft er one year charged me annual fee of {$95.00}. I am asking them to waive it and downgrade the card so that I do not have to pay annual fee. They are saying it has to be within 30 days. I have not used card in the last 30 days and there is not other charge after this annual fee. This is fraud and wrongful way to extort money. It is very difficult to read and remember all fine print which is provided with a card. Would request your intervention. Complaint: I 've had this ongoing issue with Macy 's regarding my account, when Macy 's switched accounts to Citi from their previous servicer my credit account did not transfer over to their new system and all the while I had no access to my account and neither did I know any payments were due, as everytime I logged into the account the profile showed blank and I assumed there was no payments due. This was not the case and due to this error Macys ended up marking me late. I have chronologized Macy 's online systems mistakes with pictures in the attached word document.
