Complaint: This involves a Sears Mastercard issued by Citibank. I have not been able to log into my account on their website for nearly two months. I have updated my system to the latest browser ( s ) as suggested and still I am not being logged in to the website completely. There is something wrong with this company 's website and/or business practices. I have not been able to get through to a customer service agent via two different phone numbers provided by Sears ( or Citibank ) for this purpose. I am constantly routed through a ridiculous automated phone attendant system. When I am finally allowed to ask to speak to a customer service rep, the phone call is then quickly terminated. I am trying to suspend paperless billing because I have not been able to make a payment via their website since the website never completely logs me in. This is a well-know issue with this vendor and something needs to be done about it. It is pathetic how these companies are taking advantage of people who are trying to meet their obligations and protect their credit scores. I owed a grand total of {$27.00} last month and now owe {$57.00} thanks to a {$30.00} late fee which they are stealing because they are preventing me from accessing their website to make payment. I now have to visit a retail location in order to pay off this account. I 've been a customer of their 's for nearly 40 years ... never again ... they can drop XXXX.

Problem during payment process
Complaint: I logged into my Citibank online account on XXXX and made an online payment for {$150.00}. My payment was due on XX/XX/2017 . On XXXX I noticed that they never removed the money from my checking account, so I logged into my account and saw that their website did not process my payment. So I made the payment immediately. Citibank charged me a late fee of {$25.00} on XX/XX/2017. I have requested that they remove this fee since it was an error on their website and I have never had a late payment before. They have refused to remove the fee even though I did log in and make the payment on XX/XX/2017 . It is not my fault their website did not process it.

Complaint: O n 2 separate dates, Citibank denied reopening a MasterCard credit. card that was closed. They stated too long a period had elapsed and I would have to reapply with s new app. None of the contract statement states that reopening a card is not possible. Complaint: Hell o All, Tha nk you in advance for your time and consideration in assisting in this issue. Abou t two years ago, my husband and I went to Macys s tore in XXXX XXXX Virginia to shop for few items and after choosing the items we needed, we then went to the cashier to pay for the items and it was there that she ( the cashier ) said we could receive additional discount if my husband is added on my account which the cashier did and confirmed with us after completing the proce ss. One day my husband went to Macys i n XXXX Maryland and purchase a dress pant ( price range {$50.00} - {$70.0 0} ) for me using my account information. But later found out after receiving a collection b ill ( of {$800.00} plus ) on behalf of Macys, an d contacting customer services, that my husband was never added on my account but rather another account was created without my knowledge and was never brought to my attention even when I always called to make a payment on my card no one in that department ever brought it up. The most frustrating part of this is that upon creating this account, one must expect to received separate bill under the account, a letter of notification of the new account created along wit h a Macys card but none was issued rather they ( Macys ) continues to accumulate charges over time which seems to me Macys is more interested in making money than doing the right thing in that process. The most frustrating of all this is the lack of accountabil ity for error on Macys as such that it has affected both of our credit. Does such practice not consider deceptive and shouldnt Macys accept responsibility for an error on their side? Lastly, every Macys customer service representative I had spoken with on this issue refused to provide me the account number in dispute this to me is unacceptable in a manner that I 'm being held responsible for something I have no knowledge of or aware of it existence.

Complaint: See earlier complaint No XXXX . Just received a letter from Citibank referring to some unknown research it wants to do and looks like it will for the 40th time attempt to delay forclosure sale scheduled for XXXX . After 100 months, it has had 8 years to do any research it wants and this is just another attempt to delay the sale to increase the amount the debtors will be assessed to pay over sale price. We are protected from paying because of bankruptcy and any attempt by citi will result in damages from the Bankruptcy Court a nd it aware of this fact. The issue is we have to pay XXXX per month to maintain homeowners insurance for liability. We have paid {$40000.00} for this coverage and been denied any effort to obtain any mortgage on another home for 8 years and will be denied for 2 years AFTER sale so the unnecessary damage to my family is a miscarriage of justi ce and violates the Bankruptcy intent to provide debtors who lost everything because of the XXXX greed of our " too big to fail '' institutions. Please con vince Citi t o go forward with the sale on XX/XX/XXXX . Do n't let its continuing delays harm us any further. Thank You

Complaint: I have applied for at least XXXX loan modifications since approximately summer of XXXX . My request in XXXX was denied due to employment income being too high. When I applied in XXXX , I was currently on short-term XXXX with my employer and was still receiving full compensation. Since I was receiving full pay, I was then denied the modification request. I was then awarded social security benefits in XXXX XXXX and was then advised that I am totally XXXX and unable to return to work. I then reapplied for another loan modification since my financial/employment has changed. I repeatedly received numerous requests f or CitiMortgage requ esting documents and clarification on numerous items. I provided all documents to them as requested. I was just notified yesterday via phone that my request for modification was denied due to income being too high. My representative then told me that it appears that I earn approximately {$2800.00} per month. I then explained that my social security award letter confirms that my monthly benefit is {$2100.00} per month. I explained that I currently receive a monthly insurance long-term XXXX payment, but this monthly benefit is an insurance benefit and is not guaranteed. My monthly pay has been reduced by over 50 % since becoming unemployed.

Complaint: I have a Sears citibank cred it card in which I purchased XXXX worth of appliances In the meantime years later my balance did n't seem to go down I was just thinking it was at a high interest rate so needless to say I researched my bills and come to find out I was being charged for an " account care '' thing so I called them to cancel it and ask when I signed up for this and I wanted proof because I did n't recall ever signing up for this, So after back and forth they refunded my account for 6 months of payments for this account care fee with no interest Of course I was n't happy because pretty much all the money on my credit card is pretty much ALL THE FEES PLUS INTEREST from these fees But they ended up finally sending me where I signed for it Well I looked at this and the paragraph for the agreement for the credit card was XXXX sentences and the paragraph for this ACCOUNT CARE thing was huge I know I probably thought it was part of the application I found this to be VERY MISLEADING ESPECIALLY since it was done on a machine in the store I 'm sure each screen came up at different times But I feel as I was taken advantage of.. This should not be on the application it should be an option that should be mailed to you after the fact to read and understand..In the meantime I have XXXX of dollars I have to pay back in fees and interest And on top of that my payment is over XXXX a month I feel very mislead

After that action was done, the creditor closed my account. They gave me reasons that have nothing to do with my account and m y credit score ha s actually increased over XXXX points in the last month or two. They refused to open my account back up and told me that I had a better chance of seeing XXXX before they would open my account back up. I want my account reopened or I will file a civil rights law suit against this company and I feel they need to wipe my balance to {$0.00} for the inconvenience.
