Problem with product or service terms changing
Complaint: Citibank has entered into a program of denying credit to gun manufacturers. I believe that this undermines the Second Amendment and is contrary to a free and open society. It is particularly disgusting because Citibank received bailout assistance from the very government that it is trying to undermine.
I request that the CFPB conduct a complete investigation into the lending practices of Citibank, particularly in relation to loans to gun manufacturers.

Problem with personal statement of dispute
Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX and Citigroup are dictating to companies who they will or will not do business with based own these banks views of gun rights and the XXXX XXXX XXXX. These multi-billion dollar Banks that were bailed out from financial collapse with American taxpayer dollars now feel they do not have to follow the laws set by Congress and our constitution and can discriminate on certain companies with their on policies. This is a dangerous precedent.

Complaint: I am extremely concerned over discriminatory banking practices regarding Citigroup and the gun industry. I use two Citigroup credit cards for almost everything I buy, including guns and ammunition. If these allegations are true, they are also extremely unethical, inappropriate, and will not never tolerated. As of right now, I use these cards to make approximately 2000 a month in purchases. I am ceasing to use these cards until I hear further information refuting this, and if true, I will immediately close the accounts.

Complaint: Citigroup 's policy forcing vendors to refuse firearm sales to under 21 year-olds, regardless of the law. I don't actually have a credit card account with them, but there is no option for filing a complaint regarding their discriminatory business policies.
By instituting policies which require their banking customers to discriminate against prospective clients based on age, in an apparent effort to affect their own brand of restrictions on firearms ownership, CitiBank appears to be attempting to infringe upon the second amendment rights of millions of law-abiding American citizens. ( the ones that bailed them out ) Since XXXX has not even remotely suggested that the financial activities they are targeting by this policy are illegal in any way, while they themselves enjoy government support and benefits, I believe they should limit the scope of their policies to deny only those transactions that might be illegal, or at the very least, those not GUARANTEED to the people by the US Constitution.
While I do believe that businesses in the United States, for the most part, should be free to set policies as they see fit, this particular policy tends to force other businesses into breaking federal age discrimination statutes in order to continue doing business with them. Since it violates the rights of so many others, I hope that if XXXX does not voluntarily revise or abandon this policy, they might be legally compelled to do so.

Problem with fees
Complaint: I received a bill from XXXX XXXX this week for XXXX. Last month I received a bill for XXXX and a late fee of XXXX. I paid the XXXX original charge. THis month I got a bill for the late fee with an additional late fee on top of the late fee. They did waive the second late fee but if this is there regular practice, then they have a problem. First XXXX late fee on a XXXX charge is ridiculous but to charge a late fee on top of a late fee and their rep says it because there is an outstanding balance. This needs to be investigated. If they did this to me, a knowledgeable consumer, how many more have they done this to.

Trouble with how payments are being handled
Complaint: Through the XXXX XXXX personal account auto-pay bill payment system I had been paying on my {$25000.00} XXXX XXXX student loan for many, many years. IN XX/XX/XXXXI PAID OFF THE LOAN. I had been paying XXXX XXXX for many years before the loan was sold to Citibank ( when exactly I am unsure ) and in XX/XX/XXXX, Citibank has stated it sold the loan back to XXXX XXXX, as Citibank no longer handled student loans. Unfortunately, I forgot to turn off the auto payments going to Citibank. Thus, in XX/XX/XXXX I contacted XXXX XXXX to alert them of this fact and found that they had record of the payments to both XXXX XXXX and Citibank. Citibank only rejected payments starting in XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. Citibank received payments all of XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX started receiving money from XXXX XXXX between XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX, without rejections. When I contacted Citibank and XXXX XXXX, both companies stated they had returned the overpayments to XXXX XXXX late XX/XX/XXXX, Citibank did send me two refund checks in the mail, though not stating which months they were crediting. On XX/XX/XXXX I and a representative of XXXX XXXX contacted Citibank ( XXXX ), and proof of overpayments payments were sent to Citibank ( XXXX ), as they requested. As of XX/XX/XXXX no funds have been returned into my XXXX XXXX account from Citibank ( XXXX ) or XXXX XXXX, and I and a XXXX XXXX representative were hung up on when we were speaking to a Citibank ( XXXX ) representative on that day. As well as I can calculate, with {$250.00} being paid each month since the pay-off in XX/XX/XXXX( which exact month I am unsure ), over a five year period, I am owed at the least {$15000.00} and at most {$18000.00} from Citibank and XXXX XXXX combined.

Complaint: Citigroup has no business threatening law abiding business owners for exercising their Second Amendment rights. The only reason that Citigroup is even in business today is because American taxpayers bailed them out during the Great Recession, said XXXX XXXX. Instead of imposing its political agenda on the American people, Citigroup ought to be finding ways to help these mostly small businesses grow. Citigroup certainly shouldnt be threatening their Constitutional rights.

Complaint: I am concerned about Citibank 's recent business activities to punish their customers for their lawful business activities with regards to transactions involving firearms production and distribution. Citibank has announced it will no longer do business with companies that do not implement a host of policies promulgated by various gun-control organizations. This amounts to discrimination against people engaged in lawful commerce protected by the Second Amendment.
Although, I have already cancelled my accounts with Citibank, I am still harmed, as are all Americans, by Citibank 's attempt to circumvent the democratic process and impose a radical gun-control agenda by the sheer force of its market share. It is particularly galling considering that Citibank took an enormous bailout from American tax payers not too long ago.

Other problem
Complaint: National news stories being circulated on or aroundXX/XX/2018, reports that CitiGroup and XXXX XXXX XXXX are using their powers to restrict banking by using their enormous market power to discriminate against customers based on lawful firearm-related business activities. It is reported that they are targeting businesses based on firearm policies and any other legal transactions, industries, and businesses they disfavor, prohibit, or boycott.
My concern is that as a LEGAL citizen, they will decide if I can or can not use my money, via their credit card or bank account, to make legal purchases. That is counter to the U.S. Constitution ( 2nd Amendment ) and the fact that I am making a perfectly legal purchase based on U.S. and State Laws. If they, Citi or XXXX, do not permit financial transactions with legal business, then that is a form of discrimination.
As a point of comparison, use and purchase of XXXX is allowed in some states, but prohibited by Federal Law. Why does XXXX or Citi allow people to make purchases with those businesses? Nor do they make policy statements that they will not support these businesses financially. Firearms businesses/manufacturers are legally operated businesses under Federal and State Laws, it is not the bank to decide what is legal and illegal in the United States, but legislatures.
Thank You

Complaint: I want to make a general complaint about a disturbing trend among large U.S. banks most notably XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and Citigroup which are reportedly using their enormous market power to discriminate against their customers who conduct lawful firearm-related business activities protected under the Second Amendment to the US Constitution.
These banks seem to be making political statements and using social engineering to act against law abiding citizens by withholding access to credit to customers and companies they disfavor.
There is also reason to believe that these banks may be using their collection of personally identifiable information ( PII ) to monitor and deny financial services to individuals and companies who are engaging in completely legal and Constitutionally-protected activity.
As a consumer of firearms and related products, I am very concerned about XXXX and Citigroups antigun discrimination.
Every American adult likely uses or will need banking services to survive in our modern economy. Law-abiding gun owners have legitimate concerns about possible collusion and collective efforts between banks and/or banks and political advocacy groups aimed at denying them services simply for exercising their rights under the U.S. Constitution and laws.
These efforts also can create a hostile and chilling climate for the exercise of Second Amendment rights, particularly for those hoping to obtain financing for such things as home and auto purchases or running a small business. Once financial institutions take it upon themselves to set social policy that exceeds the requirements of the law, its impossible to know where they will stop or what other indicators of disfavored activity might become relevant to them. No American should be treated as a scapegoat for someone elses crimes.
We taxpayers footed the bill in billions of tax dollars to help bail out these financial behemoths after the banks reckless business practices brought their companies and the U.S. economy to the brink of disaster.
Citigroup received nearly half a trillion dollars in taxpayer-backed guarantees and cash after putting the entire financial system at risk. It was the largest government bailout in American history.
Citigroups new firearm policies run counter to laws and regulations passed by Congress, and they infringe and discriminate against an individuals Second Amendment rights.
These bank policies should not be endorsed by our federal government. Our government should only do business with companies that respect all of our constitutional rights, including the Second Amendment.
We need to know more about these banks restrictive firearm policies and any other legal transactions, industries, and businesses they disfavor, prohibit, or boycott.
I urge you to investigate the business practices of these banks to root out unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices. Please monitor these financial giants for risks to law abiding consumers engaged in lawful commerce for our Constitutionally-protected Second Amendment activities.

Complaint: Citi Group has made a decision to end its business relation with companies that engage in the manufacture, and or distribution of firearms and or firearm components that Citi Group has arbitrarily decided do not serve a legitimate public interest. As a client of said company and a tax payer, my resources are used to support Citi Group entities through FDIC and other safeguards where public and private money is used to benefit the interests of Citi Group. Citi Group, as a business entity which is the benefactor of public resources, should not be attempting to implement public policy. It should not engage in the practice of strong arming clients who are engaged in lawful, and Constitutionally protected commerce.
