Complaint: I had a USDA Rural backed loan that originated in XXXX of XXXX. In XXXX of XXXX, this loan was assigned from XXXX XXXX to Carrington Mortgage Services , LLC . In XXXX of XXXX, I modified this mortgage through the HAMP program. The loan balance of approximately {$160000.00} was reduced by a subordinate mortgage of {$43000.00} that would be due on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX, with no payments due in the interim. Leaving a 1st loan balance of approximately {$120000.00} at this time. On numerous occasions I have requested a payoff request and/or a lien release in regards to the subordinate loan from : Carrington, from HUD, from USDA, from FHA, and from XXXX XXXX XXXX. Each of these entities has denied that they are the servicer and/or can not locate any trace of this subordinate loan. The only payoff that was provided was by Carrington for the 1st loan, without including the subordinate loan balance. There are multiple loan numbers, case numbers, and reference numbers on my documents, but none of them are able to assist in the location of this subordinate loan. This issue is directly impeding the sale of my home as the title company is refusing to insure the title and the closing deadline is just a little more than 2 weeks away. I have advised each of these entities of the ARS 33-715 - regarding payoff demands and that I would be entitled to damages currently estimated to be more than {$330000.00} the offer on the home plus other costs associated with the sale and enforcement of my rights under this statute. Also, each entity was advised that under this statute that I am entitled to {$500.00} whether or not there are any damages incurred.

Complaint: My mortgage was sold to Carrington Mortgage Services by XXXX XXXX XXXX. I checked on that companys reputation and was alarmed to find that they are known more for being a debt collector per se. i am behind in my mortgage payments due to heat pump repairs which have happened for three years in a row. I have tried to catch up but can not afford to pay the additional amount they quote to catch up. I have been paying at mid month each month until this month. At last I am able to make a payment on the XXXX ( the due date ) and will make another payment at mid month when my Social Security check comes in. However, Carrington has set up their online payment system to prevent me from paying on the XXXX if I am behind. Per an online chat with one of their service reps, I was told that I will not be allowed to make a payment until the XXXX. I find their practice detrimental to allowing one to catch up and places them in a better position to start foreclosure. There is no logical or reasonable reason for preventing paying online only on a specific date. The odds seemed stacked in their favor.

Complaint: Carrington Mortgage Services , LLC . is engaging in unethical and predatory business practices. Ive been experiencing financial hardship, and this caused me to fall behind with my mortgage payments. From the time this company has taken over the servicing of my mortgage I received nothing but rude unprofessional service and inconsistent responses. My complaint is regarding the loss mitigation process and the company refusing to take my payment. On XX/XX/XXXX I call to check on the status of my loss mitigation application and the representative stated that my XXXX tax return was not signed and that is what is holding up the process. I replied that I didnt have access to a printer thats why I supplied the official XXXX transcript from the IRS. I questioned why, was the XXXX tax transcript acceptable and not the XXXX transcript. He could not answer the question and only replied just send the signed the XXXX tax return. Then a few days later I get a letter from Carrington dated XX/XX/XXXX stating my loss mitigation application has been cancelled because I did not supply requested information. This is an absolute lie. I have dated emails to prove this and I even sent all the information again. On Friday XX/XX/XXXX I made a {$5000.00} payment via XXXX. When I called to confirm that my payment has been received, the representative by the name of XXXX # XXXX stated my payment was returned because my home is in foreclosure and has been since XXXX and it is company policy not to accept any payments. She then went on to say that she can request a reinstatement and the XXXX billing statement with a total amount due as of XX/XX/XXXXas {$5800.00} is not the correct amount I owe. I questioned, how is it incorrect she stated that attorney fees will be added, I questioned why when the {$5800.00} includes attorney and filing fees totaling {$1100.00}. She then stated that the attorney fees accrue daily. What makes this so disheartening is the fact that I checked with the clerk of courts and nothing has been filed with them. Furthermore, when I was sent the loss mitigation application, the rep stated that while going through loss mitigation, the foreclosure process will be temporarily halt. Thereby giving additionally time to come up with the money. In addition, I was only short {$170.00} because the {$640.00} was not due. This companys only agenda is to take my home. The loss mitigation is a joke they never had any intention on processing my application because I supplied everything they requested and to come up with {$5000.00} only to have my payment returned is unbelievable. Please dont allow this company to do this to me or anyone else that maybe going through financial hardship. These practices can not be legal. Please any help with matter would be greatly appreciated. Please dont allow this company to take my home its all my kids and I have. I have lost my marriage and my business ; I cant lose my home.

Complaint: I am very upset at how Carrington is forcing me to pay their attorney fee and court cost. Their attorney doesn't represent me so why should I have to pay their fee along with the court cost that they pay. Why do I have to pay them back! My first bankruptcy I didn't have to. But my second bankruptcy Carrington is trying to get all the money they can out of me! It was XXXX XXXX XXXX at first now Carrington is demanding that I pay their attorney fees! Carrington has the money to pay their own attorney! But instead, I have to add their attorney fees in my bankruptcy plan!

Complaint: I am a co-buyer for an account with Carrington Mortgage ... Carrington continuously reports to the credit bureaus late pays that are incorrect ... I have had this problem for a year and a half and after several disputes that had them remove these improper reportings Im still fighting this..this seems to be an intentional issue and they seem to re-report the bad info a month or two later after they have been made to correct it ... I would like for them to no longer report to the credit bureaus based on the fact that I feel that Im being purposely targeted and harassed ...

Complaint: I was trying to settle about my payment history when someone in their bankruptcy department and this foreign speaking guy who was very rude toward me, and unprofessionally hung up on me while I was trying to explain to them that I made 4 payments for this month XX/XX/2019. They are supposed to be making sure my payments are being applied to my account not intentionally trying to mess me up! It's very frustrating when they refuse to work with you or even listen to you because Carrington has these foreign speaking people that don't understand English or maybe they understand. Carrington is flat out making this difficult or they are telling employees to harass and hang up on me!
