Complaint: We did a mortgage modification because we could not afford the payments of approx. {$1600.00} a month that became final on XX/XX/19 with the new monthly payment of {$1400.00} beginning XX/XX/19. On XX/XX/19 I called Carrington Mortgage to see if I could make the XX/XX/19 payment early, I spoke to XXXX who then told me that the payment was now {$1500.00}. I explained to her about the Modification however she said that is the amount in her system of the payment due. On XX/XX/19 I called Carrington again to ask what the payment amount is and first spoke to XXXX who told me {$1400.00} but then transferred me to XXXX who told me we owe {$570.00}. I was then transferred to XXXX who then tried explaining that they did an Escrow Analysts and came up with these new figures. She then stated that if I had a " Conventional loan '' they could work with the numbers but since it was a FHA loan they couldn't. Then on XX/XX/19 we received a monthly mortgage statement stating that we owe {$2000.00} for the month of XX/XX/XXXX. We are very upset that we haven't even made our first payment yet and the amount has changed several times. Why wasn't an Escrow Annalist completed before the signing of the modification? We do understand that escrows change from time to time but we know for a fact that neither our taxes nor our insurance have went up since the signing of the mortgage modification on XX/XX/19. Had the analysts been completed prior to the agreement of the modification we would have had a better understanding of the monthly payments due. At this point the modification was basically useless because our payments are right back to not being affordable before we could even make the first payment.

Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX Carrington Mortage and myself came to an agreement on how much I owed as to late payment of my loan. I agreed to pay alot of money for 2 months of XXXX XXXX dollars to get me current. I to this day I am still being charged 3rd party charges even stated today when I paid extra the representative said I could still have 3rd party charges next month even though I have been current for months. My payment for XXXX was XXXX Last month was same My payment should be XXXX I only make XXXX every 2 weeks I have told them this every month Including when I started paying what I owed the first 2 months were XXXX Was very hard to maintain with what I made.

Complaint: XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Carrington Mortgage Services LLC received our {$1500.00} XXXX XX/XX/XXXX payment as our Bank XXXX would send Mortgage checks to Carrington 3 days prior to my payday. Carrington said they DO NOT carry forward any payments. Later in XXXX my credit report took a large hit for a missed payment of XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX 's payment was received by Carrington XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. Now the Delinquency Notices started XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX Then came the letters dated XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX each letter stated Our records do not show receipt your payment. The Spreed sheet from Carrington 's website tells the truth. They lied about XXXX 's payment to the credit agencies ... In XXXX I requested and AUDIT of our loan. I submitted 25 Months of records of payments to carrington. XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. My evidence showed all on time payments, XX/XX/XXXX the AUDIT concurred with my findings. Yet harassing phone calls and mails continue. No one understands the audit. Last week I faxed proof of on time payments for XXXX and XXXX. My Wife and I are insulted by Carringtons ignorance to the law. Today the harassment continues

Complaint: Dearest sirs ... The above servicer ( Carrington Mortgage Services, working for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), sent a third party company to my home/homestead and trespassed onto my property, then pounding on my door, arrogantly stating " they are seeing if anyone was living at my home ''. I took the third party 's company name, the agent 's name, and filed a police report with the XXXX XXXX police department. My 4th ammendment rights were disregarded. This has caused me great stress. My attorney ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) has been made aware of this. The original hardship on my mortgage was due to the usurious 11.8 % interest rate. I am offering a final payoff settlement of {$650000.00}. The original loan was {$310.00} in 2007. The financial crash causing a need for a lower interest rate. All efforts to come to a final resolution have fallen on deaf ears, i.e mediations, modifications, etc ... My mortgage has been through numerous banks and servicers the past twelve years. I can only imagine how many times it has been sold and resold. Carrington Mortgage Services is demanding the 12 years accrued usurious interest of 11.8 % payoff, being {$850000.00}, all the while attempting foreclosure. I believe my final payoff offer of {$650000.00}. Is fair and just. It would take me 60 days to expedite. Thank you for your kindest help in this matter. A prayer of blessings to all involved. Complaint: We have been trying to get a loan modification with our VA loan for over 8 months. Carrington just keeps sending letters asking for the same thing over and over and over again. We get letters that say our review is closed out and then another asking for documents. We are also trying to work with Carrington through our housing counselor and mediation but no one from Carrington seems to care. It seems like a game they are playing with my family. We can afford to pay our mortgage. Our finances have really stabilized. We sent a lot of new documents today. Complaint: I have been a victim of predatory lending from XXXX who has subsequently sold the loan to XXXX XXXX XXXX ; who has passed the loan to several servicers including XXXX, XXXX and Carrington Mortgage. This Loan started at 9.875 % and is currently 11 % as of XX/XX/XXXX. I have made several attempts for loan modification of which they have denied because I continued to pay. Since XX/XX/XXXX, I have stopped paying this high Interest predatory loan. Currently, XX/XX/XXXX claims to own this loan but has no proof of the promissory note. I am currently in litigation with XX/XX/XXXX because the Loan is approximately 8 percentage points more than fair market value. I am unable to continue fighting this predatory mortgage company and need help in refinancing to get out of this situation.

Complaint: I was reported to the credit bureaus as 30-days late, but the records I have of cleared checks from my bank shows cleared checks within the 30-day mark. When I talked to the representative today, she said that I have been paying the incorrect amount. However, I have not received notification that my payment amount has changed. What I usually do ( and what I believe most consumers who are busy with work and daily living do ) is looking at my " History '' online to see if there is anything wrong and by the way it appears online ( at least to me who is not a financial/accounting professional ) when I look at it every time, nothing seems to be wrong. The representative I talked to today collected {$150.00} plus a fee to make my account current. ( My life can be ruined by a {$150.00} amount ). When I looked at my checking statements, the checks were cleared by my bank. SO, it is hard to see the change in the payment amount, and I did not receive a clear notification by mail, email or even a phone call. That way, consumers can make sure we don't get reported to the credit bureaus which could be devastating for some of us especially for someone like me who is recovering from the recession and has worked long and hard to bring all my accounts current, and be reported for not informed of changes to my mortgage payments ( though, they keep sending computer-generated letters convincing me to either buy a new house or refinance ).

Complaint: To whom it may concern, I am writing this letter to ask for help with the situation I have been fighting for months now. I would like to start by saying that Ive always fulfilled my obligations under loans and have had an outstanding credit history for more than 25 years. In the months during Hurricane Irma, I was offered a Special Forbearance plan for my home and my land loan that were both serviced by XXXX XXXX XXXX. For the land loan, The Forbearance plan letter of approval was dated XX/XX/XXXX and stated that I was not required to make payments during the period of XXXX to XXXX. My forbearance was a result from a federally declared disaster and along with the arrangement for no required payments, or late charges would be incurred and would not be reported to the credit bureaus. During the first three months, we received a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that they will place the payments covered under the three month special forbearance into a non-interest bearing balance that I wouldnt have to repay until I pay off, refinance, or default on the loan. On a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX we were approved for an extension of the forbearance plan to cover for the months of XXXX to XXXX of XXXX. This would make the months covered under forbearance XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. At the end of the Forbearance plan on XX/XX/XXXX I made a regular payment on this loan as instructed by my forbearance terms, to XXXX XXXX XXXX as agreed. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, the same date, a loan modification application was sent to me which I was to fill out and return back to XXXX XXXX XXXX by XX/XX/XXXX. I received a notice shortly after that by XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that the servicing of my loan will transfer to Carrington Mortgage Services , LLC beginning XX/XX/XXXX. It also stated until that date the account will continue with XXXX XXXX XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX. I had returned the loan modification application back to XXXX XXXX XXXX signed XX/XX/XXXX and received by them on XX/XX/XXXX. On the next day, XX/XX/XXXX, a notice that the application was received and would be reviewed was provided. After phone calls to XXXX XXXX XXXX the loan modification was said to be sent to Carrington Mortgage for finalization and that payments were to resume with Carrington Mortgage. On XX/XX/XXXX Carrington Mortgage was still in the process of receiving the full account documents and I was told not to make any payments until all documents were transferred which would include any loan modification and forbearance arrangements. The loan paperwork was to be fully in Carrington Mortgage system on XX/XX/XXXX according to the conversations we had over the phone. During conversation with Carrington Mortgage loan department representatives I was told I was behind six months of payments and that if I didnt want to lose the land I needed to make a payment of {$2200.00} upfront and the next 3 months thereafter {$690.00}. I was confused at this and went back and forth with XXXX XXXX XXXX and Carrington to make sure that the paperwork of forbearance and loan modification was submitted to Carrington Mortgage. After more back and forth, Carrington Mortgage stated that they had made a payment plan for me to avoid me losing the land, I would have to follow through with payment plan. I was afraid of losing the land, although I didnt understand why they had not honored my forbearance plans and previous arrangements on this loan. On XX/XX/XXXX I made the payments to Carrington Mortgage for the amount of {$2200.00} in XX/XX/XXXX and {$690.00} on each month thereafter which included XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX of XXXX. During that time an offer to pay the loan for a lesser amount of {$70000.00} was offered to me and I sent the funds on XX/XX/XXXX. At the time I was not aware that I was considered delinquent on this loan or at risk of foreclosure. Following the months after that I began searching for financing to build my retirement home on the land that I have been planning for years, because of the necessary accommodations and accessibility that my built home will provide for my XXXX. It was for the first time made aware to me that XXXX XXXX XXXX and Carrington were reporting my loan is delinquent and late payments overdue for the six months that I was under Forbearance. In addition I was told that the land was considered a short sale after I agreed to pay the amount we agreed upon. Because of that lenders denied my mortgage loan application for new construction loan. I then began the process of disputing these claims with Carrington Mortgage, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and the credit bureaus. XXXX XXXX XXXX stated that they would attempt to resolve their records to the credit bureaus and also submit to Carrington Mortgage that this loan should never have been considered as delinquent because I was under forbearance for the months and that arrangements were in process. I recently received a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX stated that the account is being reported as having no history of delinquency. This disputing process is currently still taking place as I have disputed numerous times with credit bureaus with no resolution because Carrington Mortgage refuses to provide any resolution to credit bureaus. Im asking for any assistance with resolving this matter.

Complaint: On or about July 2/3, 2019 I called Carrington Mortgage to advise I would be send one full payment and a partial payment which would be enough including what was in a " holding '' account to make a full payment. I spoke with a XXXX. I was told I would need XXXX to make two full payments. I was also advised I would not have to pay late fees at this time and the money would go to my mortgage payments which would leave me owing for XXXX, 2019. On XX/XX/2019 I paid through my online banking XXXX, thinking I would have a little left over in the " holding '' account. On XX/XX/XXXX I called Carrington Mortgage and was told I owed for XXXX and XXXX. I advised this was not true and got very upset. The rep then told me she did not understand but that there was a full payment in the " holding '' account and that XXXX had gone to late fees, which I was told previously I would only have to worry about catching my house payment up. The rep advised she would send in something in order to have the XXXX payment processed. Today I observed in my online acct that did take XXXX out for late fees. Today, XX/XX/2019, I received two calls at XXXX XXXX, one call at XXXX XXXX, and one call at XXXX XXXX in which I finally answered and was told my account was in default. I have already been scammed by someone claiming to be my mortgage company and I am not in default with my mortgage as I owe for XX/XX/2019 at this time. The guy said he was with Carrington Mortgage and I asked why he called me 4x in a row and he said he was collecting a default mortgage. This is harrassment from this company and the fact that they did not give me credit for one house payment but took late fees from it, is also a big problem for me.

Complaint: I received a response to my Written Credit Dispute that was received on XX/XX/XXXX concerning my Account : XXXX. I wrote to further appeal the response and findings to request that Carrington Mortgage remove the 30-Day late payment that they had reported to the creditors, based on the evidence I provide below and my second appeal was denied. In summary, I submitted a payment for my XXXX mortgage payment on XX/XX/XXXX, within the no late fee penalty timeframe. I submitted this payment from my mobile phone and accidentally entered the wrong routing number from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX, which is indeed a routing number for Peoples, but not associated with my account ). Regardless, I received a message saying that my Submission was Successful. However, I DID NOT request that Carrington Mortgage save this information to my account on the webpage and I verified this with a manager who spoke with technical services in a phone call on XX/XX/XXXX. FURTHERMORE, the technical department verified that when a payment is returned No Account/Unable to Locate that any saved information should be cleared by your system. This was not the case. When I learned that the payment was returned No Account/Unable to Locate, I logged into my account using my computer and paid using the Saved Account option on XX/XX/XXXX. I had used this saved account information to make all other on-time payments throughout the history of the mortgage. However, the incorrect information was erroneously saved from my previous attempt from when I entered the wrong routing number. In addition, the technical department also verified the incorrect payment information should have been cleared by your system. The technical department also verified that I indeed used the Saved Account Information on my second attempt on XX/XX/XXXX. I did not learn that this payment was returned until after the 30 day late timeframe on XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately paid the account when learning this information. I did not authorize this information to be saved from the prior attempt, and according to Carrington Mortgage technical department it should have been cleared, and thus this technical error caused my payment to be late. I am officially stating that this error was caused by the online software system saving my account information when it was not authorized and should have been cleared after the failed attempt and I made all reasonable attempts to pay my account prior to the 30-day late timeframe. I have clear records showing each attempt prior to the 30 days and have clear evidence that an internal system error caused this 30-day late payment. Carrington Mortgage is not taking any accountability for this error with their online payment system and has denied both appeals. This has significantly impacted my otherwise spotless credit rating.
